We have families with children coming to the wedding and felt that the suites would give them more space in the room. We have never been bothered by the fact that Coba is not on the beach and walking for us just helps keep us active with all the food and drink we consume. The grounds at Coba are gorgeous - all three properties are beautiful. I just stayed at Tulum a few weeks ago and it was great too. We had an oceanview room and that was a lovely treat to see the sun rise every morning. IMHO, you can't go wrong with any of the three properties on this resort...it's a great choice regardless of which hotel you choose. Happy planning! Thank you!! 73 more sleeps!! Geez I'm excited for you!!!! I heard the Tulum and Akumal are the older ones, are they really that old?
  3. Hi all! Can anyone please tell me why you pick your stay/wedding between Coba/Tulum/Akumal? I'm having a hard time deciding and definitely need help!! Thanks a ton! Scarlett

I emailed [email protected] a week ago, is that the same email address you used for Gabriela? Scarlett

So I'd assume she's been there since '08. I am sure she's great too. Cara Hi Cara, I'm just wondering if you have any direct contact to the WC? I want to get married in may and time is really ticking!! Thanks! Scarlett

We are getting married in May and our wedding package, Ocean Scents, has been confirmed. Hope that helps!! Hi, thanks for the info. I am planning my wedding at Barcelo for May 2010. My fiance and I are planning to do our legal documents here in Canada and have a symbolic wedding down at Barcelo. Did they give you a discount on the package if you don't need any legal documents done? Scarlett

It is the newest of the three resorts and has all junior suites. Tulum and Akumal have standard rooms (no sitting area). There's lots of info on this site but if you have some specific questions, I can try to help. We love this resort...it will be a lovely place for you to get married. Congrats! Thanks very much for the info, I have a better idea now! So I was under the impression that we can only get married at the resort where we stay, so that's not the case?
  11. Dear Nonnie, I am sorry to hear that. You mom and grandma are right, calling off the wedding will only make your dad feel worse. Just remember all your dad wants is for you to have a great wedding. I know it is hard but please try to enjoy your big day and take some really nice pictures and video, I'm sure your dad will be so happy when he sees them! My thoughts are with you Nonnie Scarlett
