Hi About bringing in a makeup artist, I found someone from MAC Cancun that will be doing our makeup... Does anyone have any idea if we have to pay for a day pass for them to come and do our makeup or if they can just come up to our rooms? Thanks so much!

Hi ladies, So I got a copy of the menu for the Tropical from Xhail and we get to pick ONE of each item which I think is totally bogus. Did anyone get more options then this? Daily2011 - I am so sorry to hear what a rough time you having with your FMIL. Just know that the apple DOES fall far from the tree and your future husband loves you for you. I think setting your boundaries with her and just saying something along the lines of "I don't appreciate the way you refer to my weight and it does not help me progress" etc. I know some people just have the need to feel superior and she may feel a little threatened. Just as an FYI for ladies that are getting married at the Tropical or Colonial, Xhail I believe is one of the coordinators there and I got an email from her after asking if I could bring a photographer with me and she replied "Regarding the photographer, if he/she will be staying with you in the hotel and if he/she will be one of your guest, for sure it is possible and is not any problem the have him/her as your photographer." - Just thought it may put you at ease, it did for me! Hope everyone is doing great!

I heard from my hot yoga instructor that you burn on average 600 cal/hr with hot yoga. Whoa! I wonder if this is true? All I know is I have been doing it 3 times a week for 3 weeks and already lost 1/2 inch off my thighs. Whoop!

I have read really good reviews on the MAC tattoo cover kits! I think I am going to buy it and try it out before the wedding, thank god for edited photos. Phew.

Hi again, Wondering if the ladies that just got married could answer a couple questions... - Did you have live music at the ceremony? If so, what were the song choices? Were you happy with the turn out? - Did you have a DJ? Did you think it was worth while or is an IPOD just as good? - What did you bring for wedding goodies/welcome packets? - Did you bring anything that you thought was essential? IE. I am using Imagen Photography out of Calgary AB, and flying her down to stay with us since there is a 'no outside photographer' rule. Her rate is great - Travel costs + $1250.00 for all photography, so I guess all in all it will be about $2500.00 for it all... I couldn't be happier though, she takes great photos and lives close by! I have decided its better to ask forgiveness then ask for permission... So my photographer once I pick is my guest =). Claudia Rodriguez wouldn't go against hotel policy unless I got it in writing that I was allowed to have her, so I am thinking I am bringing someone from home.

Question for you ladies, are you bringing a photographer with you? Any suggestions?

My challenge is the resort does not allow 'outside photographers' so I cannot find a single Mayan Rivieran photographer to do it against policy. So if I fly someone in as a guest then it might work, although the price is about $1000 more. Boo.

I chose the Mint Breeze package.... The reasons are that I wanted to have the reception indoors/by the pool and the cost difference. We might have about forty people depending and the extra guest cost for the Strawberry would have been quite a bit. Also it comes with live music at the ceremony. It would be very elegant I am sure but it would be nice to hear a sample of what they play/sound like and I am curious if you could send them songs that you would like prior....
