  1. Sorry, one other quick note. We had a last minute addition to our wedding party so I had to get the bridal bouquet from the resort. The colors didn't match even though I sent them to them and the ribbon that they used for my bouquet didn't match the girls at all! If you plan on doing them all with the resort then no issues, but if only your bouquet is being done there then you should definitely bring some ribbon you would use for your bouquet. Just a bit of advice. Also, make sure that your flowers match. mine didn't and at the time I was just going with the flow because it didn't matter, but you can definitely tell in pics.

The food wasn't very good, people appreciated the mariachi band, but they were so hot they just wanted to go into the lobby bar. It is ridiculously humid and hot out. Our wedding was at 2pm though, and that does make a big difference. If yours isn't until 6 then the cocktail hour wouldn't be so bad. It really is hot all day and night, but the breeze helps later at night. That is why I didn't really complain about my hair because I knew it would stay the way it was. I have stick straight hair and it turned into a fro and curled every day, there is no hope for it! Make sure you are comfortable and bring a short reception dress, you will definitely want one!
  4. I will sell the dress and veil for $200. If nothing else it is an unbelievable trash the dress dress. The veil has never been worn and the dress is worth $900 really. I will sell it on Ebay if I get no offers here.

  7. 1 1/2 inch heel on the white bridal sandals. They are wedge.
  8. Moderator: This item has been sold. You can remove post Thank you!
  9. Thank you, I got it from the lady who altered my dress. It is so sparkly. I am actually selling it on a different link for $60, the whole set if you are interested.
  10. I will drop the price to $300 plus shipping, veil included in price. Again, the veil has never been worn and matches the color of the dress perfectly. It is elbow length. Here is some more pics of my dress. Flickr: tutti1299's Photostream
  11. Cindy Sale is pending. I will let you know if it falls through.
  12. Just another bit of advice to those who are panicking over the "rules" that The Royal has. They are actually extremely open to whatever you want within reason. So for set up or layout or what you bring with you they will do whatever you want. I was expecting to hear no a lot, but all I really heard is "no problem". It was so easy I thought maybe they would mess it all up, but it turned out perfectly. Just a little something to ease your minds.

  19. Forgot to mention that the dress was a size 10 and it was altered to a size 8.

It's original price was $600 so I believe I saved $300, and it is a huge savings for what I am selling it at now.
  21. I bought this dress for $900 at a boutique. It was a $5,000 knock off of a designer dress. It is absolutely stunning in person. I am selling it with the veil uncleaned (veil never worn) for $400 plus cost of shipping. I wore this dress to walk down the aisle, and then took it off and wore a long beachy dress for the reception. If you are interested please let me know. dress1.pdf dress2.pdf dress7.pdf dress4.pdf dress6.pdf
  22. I have a short reception dress for sale. I just got back from my wedding. I wore it for about 20 minutes at the end of the reception because I forgot all about it! The pics are below. It is a size 10 that I had altered to a size 8. I bought it for $300 and would like to sell it for $150. I will take other offers into consideration though. It is a gorgeous dress and I got TONS of complements on it while I wore it. If you can't view it then PM me and I will send you an email with the pic. dress after reception.pdf reception dress.pdf

Actually people wanted to take them home! I had 15 parasols for 50 guests and it worked perfectly and we took some great pics with them too! That is a much better suggestion. Nobody used the fans I put out and I actually went out onto 5th avenue and bought some of the parasols. They were very cute and cheap!

I didn't see any down there so I would buy them here.

It says in their "rules" that they need to be there 3 days before the wedding, but it depends on your package. Really they just need to be there the day that you have your meeting with your coordinator. So I got there on a Wednesay and had my meeting on that Thursday. Just choose 4 people that are with you, doesn't really matter who. They do need to get up during the ceremony though and sign the certificate, which was something they didn't tell us. No biggie, but something you should know.
