    Angel-in-Law: I'm from Baton Rouge, so I feel you on the hurricane issue. I'm getting married in Cancun in early June, which is why I felt I needed insurance in the first place. I had no idea that it covers so many other things initially. Who Dat!!! Geaux Saints!

    I've been busy doing other planning things so I had to push my insurance research to the side for a bit. Does anyone know what the stipulations for purchasing insurance are? For example, does the policy cover any deposits that you made before purchasing the insurance?

    I am ordering from Angel's too. There is a page on her website that addresses the issue with BDW. I've heard nothing but rave reviews about her and her work. Real Touch is definitely the way to go. I plan to "recycle" my BM's bouquets into centerpieces on the reception tables by putting them in nice vases. (After the formal pics, of course.) In all of the wedding receptions I've been too, those bouquets usually end up lying around on tables, in chairs, or on the floor.

    I love the shot glass idea. I plan to make a cute tag to tie to each one that says, "One tequila, two tequila, three tequila...floor!" All of the hotel rooms at Moon Palace Cancun have filled liquor dispensers, so I'm thinking that the guests will put them to good use.

    Ladies, has anyone heard much about the new Grand side of the resort? Is it true that it is only for Palace Premium (timeshare) members? I'm curious as to whether or not this new side offers any more venue options for ceremony, receptions,... Stephanie03!!!

    Ooooops! I hit the return button by accident. 2010 brides, will you ladies put any and all info up on the Grand side of MP? Since it's new, there's not much info on the threads posted by previous brides. If you happen to have a camera handy when you travel to the resort and you're staying in Nizuc or Sunrise, please snap some Grand photos, time and opportunity permitting. Has anyone gotten any venue info from their WC on the Grand side? I'm assuming that it is beautiful and modern because it's new, but I don't want to leave anything to chance. Thanks in advance, Everyone!!!

    Congrats, I'm so happy that things turned out well for you! I too am looking forward to seeing your pics. (I will PM that request to you.) I'm in the process of shopping for a photographer right now; I was planning to get him/her a room, but if I can save money here it sure would be nice!     Hi Ladies! I'm a MP 2011 Bride and just wanted thank you for all of your valuable information. I just discovered this thread a few weeks ago, so I printed all of the posts in this thread up to that day. It makes for great educational reading on the treadmill! I too am looking forward to everyone's reviews. (Boy, did CutieRosie set the bar high!) Once I get caught up on all of the comments, you will likely hear a lot more from me - I just don't want to be redundant with questions or comments. Congrats to all!

    Thanks SO much for "taking me there." We're getting married at MP but will probably transfer to a different Palace Resort for the honeymoon. This helps a bunch!

    I want in on this info too! Have you seen the tread that someone posted a while back with photos of the different ceremony and reception venues? She took these pics herself while visiting MP. I've been looking for it all day and I can't seem to find the thread.

    We chose Moon Palace for all of the reasons that you listed. They even have a Kids Club that is open to 10pm plus family-friendly activities that are sometimes including in the package. Additionally, they traditionally have summer package deals where kids 12 and under stay free (one reason why we picked June.) Check it out and Good Luck with your decision!
