  2. I paid for my bm's dresses. I only have 3 though. I figured since they were all spending a lot of money for traveling I should help them out. I really dont think its written in stone though. They were all very surprised.

I will also post the pic when I get it (its backordered and going to be sent in June).
  4. I was very thankful they all loved the dress! I let them choose the color too.
  5. I finally caved in a bought the dresses I check everyday. I was super worried they were going to sell out. I called JCrew and talked to one of the wedding specialists (her name was Jaime) and she hooked me up with 10% off and free shipping. She also found my sandals I want that arent even online anymore. Regular price 79, sale for 20 (with discount). She was super helpful to work with and I recommend her to everyone! Yes, I bought both sandals...I want to see what ones go best with the dress.
  6. I totally understand. The first thing my uncle said to me last weekend is.."Have fun in Mexico with the drug war." Seriously Maybe these people can get themselves a little more informed and not generalize about different countries. I didnt plan my wedding in ciudad juarez.
  7. I just got my sample invitation. It turned out really good! I will post pics as soon I get my camera working. I think I will send them out in May (6 months) before. I didnt put a rsvp date as most people have already booked and I really just did them for tradition. when is everyone else sending theirs?
  8. hi lauren- we are planning an AHR for when we get home. We are inviting family that cant come, ones that came, work people, neighbors, all the people our parents wanted to invite but we said no. We are having it at my Fi's parents house in Oakbrook. We are thinking Mexican fiesta theme with a mariachi band and mexican food.

It was a great buy. they are GREAT, so soft and comfortable and EVERY girl said they will wear them again!! BCBG FinalCut is a fairly new outlet but they have LOTS of choices plus different styles in the same color option for variety!! I couldn't be happier!! Even if you do not find your dresses here, they have great clothing options for VERY CHEAP, which makes for great vacation clothes!!! Good Luck and hope this helps!!!! Jen- where is the BCBG final cut located?
  10. We are switching resorts since my FI's mom is super clingy and would want to be with us 24/7. Are you able to take more time off I would stay with the family and then go on the honeymoon if you can!
  11. I got mine on etsy. It seems like they will work with any idea you have!
  12. I love it! Now Im excited to get mine (from lynns creations on etsy)! I also incorporated our dogs. I cant wait to see it as yours is awesome!
  13. My FI and I were like hawks getting everyone to book. We emailed and called and send out the reservation form to everyone invited. If they didnt get it back to us we called them again. It seems everyone likes to wait until the last possible minute. We didnt use a TA so all the work was on us. We only invited close friends and our whole family so we felt comfortable MAKING them fill out the reservation form (there was no downpayment). So far we have 32 rooms booked (about 64 people). Now its getting everyone airline tickets. We have filled the only direct flight from CHI to PV on the thursday we leave!

I just quick printed these cards, one side had their name and the other "table 1" (or whatever table they were at) and then each table had a number. I used the colored palm trees as another way to distguish the tables but that wasn't really necessary Andi- those are super cute! I was thinking of doing those little drink umbrellas with names in the box of sand but I love what you did more!
  19. Are you looking for a place in the city or in the suburbs? the city has a bunch of B & B's and botique hotels that im pretty sure does receptions. that way you get the house feel.
