Not nervous about being married to my fiance (we technically are already married last Saturday, legally) but just nervous, worried, hoping everything turns out okay for the wedding day in Tulum, and my guests have a good time. I hope to dear gosh I'm not forgetting anything.... yikes.

(I still haven't heard back from the Riviera Cancun one after 3 wks!) You think they'd atleast get you to pay a deposit before deciding not to respond. ; ) Look forward to chatting with you all. This looks like a great website. Meggan I can't speak for Dreams Cancun, but Dreams Tulum definitely got back to me within the week. I agree with the other girls... I have no complaints about the response time from Aurora =) Maybe this is just a busy season for them and they need a bit more time to respond, no worries!

We are coming back from Mexico on 5/25, so I will be sure to post my thoughts when I get back =)

Hi SaraMexicoBride! Welcome!! We booked our wedding in July 09, for a May 2010 wedding, and there were no options for us. We took the only open day (5/21) they had left. So I would say, yes book as soon as possible, you can always change these things. About the 2009/2010 rates- I noticed that the ultimate package went up in the new brochure after I booked, so I emailed Aurora: "Hi Aurora, I was just looking at the website and I noticed that the prices for 2010 went up after we booked them. We were quoted the price of $2,650 when we booked, but it looks like from the Dreams website the price went up to $2,760. I assume we will still pay the lower fee as we booked at the $2,650 rate, yes?" "Dear Amanda: We would like to confirm you that you have to pay the $2,650 usd for your Ultimate Wedding Package. the prices on the packages have not been changed." So... I'm just going to bring all of my emails, which I've heard to do on here =) and hope that I only have to pay the $2,650 (and of course all of the tiny hundreds of extra things they charge you for when you end up getting there).

Hi Mimi! I do not know about having the front desk give away your OOT bags, but I did ask Aurora on 7/22: "I would also like to know if, instead of using the bell boys to deliver welcome bags to our guests rooms, if we could deliver them ourselves? Yes it is possible that you deliver it by yourselves." Not sure if that helps, but maybe you could have some of your friends or if ANYONE is coming down with you before the rest of the guests, put them in the rooms for you before everyone arrives... ?? That may save on $$ ( I decided against the OOT bags due to the $ URGH )

Hey thanks! Never thought of that, just emailed Aurora to change the timeline!

Now my travel agent is telling me that this promotion ran out. I am going to have some very angry gusts- most of them already booked flights. Is anyone else running into this problem? Urgh, I am sorry, I cannot help you with the kids club, but I can tell you that my TA SUCKED too. She was SO horrible, about not ever EVER getting back to me, never knew what was going on etc., that I told my guests NOT to use her. Sharon Malespena from Apple Vacations, she was just horrific... I honestly don't know how she stays in business.... So I'm sorry you are having a hard time =(

I leave May 16th, getting married on the 21st!! Don't worry about it then, enjoy being back home with your new hubby =) From Starklit's pictures it looks like the flood lights gave some light off =) Do you mind me asking how you are decorating your tables? Are you doing anything special for the lighting? I'm sorry, I don't know if you've posted about this before. I did see your OOT bags though on a different thread, they look AMAZING. Kind of makes me want to do OOT bags, but my fiance and I decided on against it.

Oh geez...well another note- when Aurora responded to me, her email was very short. It wasn't the usual full email "Dear Amanda..." she just responded with "half day" and that's it! So she may be very busy right now, and more complicated questions, e.g. how much money should I bring?, requires her more time/calculating to respond =) so no worries! Jerzygirl- you are getting married SO SOON!!! That's so exciting... I am having my reception at the adult pool as well, and as I'm sure you've read I am having panic attacks regarding the lighting situation lol. Could you PLEEEAAASE send me pics when you get back?! xo

Just wondering if maybe they have updated or converted contact info in the last couple of weeks and I missed it. Last time I emailed Aurora was on 3/10 asking her if I would have to get my photographer a half day or full day pass... she responded on 3/11 (half day pass for 7 hours)... I am still a bit confused though, is Aurora the WC or the assistant?!?? I am reading different things, I don't know! =)

When we did our site tour in December, there was a wedding setup that had a sand-colored runner. I am not sure if Dreams provided it, but I really like the look it created up to the "alter." I hope these photos come out, I had to resize them 15 times in order to make them small enough to upload. I'm trying to research how to add photos....I'm going to need to know this for my planning thread. Just in case, I uploaded them to Flickr as well: Dreams Tulum Images - a set on Flickr xoxoxo,tt Oh those pictures are beautiful- I CANT WAIT =)

I'm still on the fence about having my face done in the salon vs. doing my own makeup. 3) does anyone know if the makeup artists will do a false eylash application? thanks all Aurora told me it was SOFT... no high heels for me! Maybe you could check out that review. Hey thanks for the info... I've read all of the posts on this dreams tulum thread (nerd I know, I was bored a couple of days lol), but there is SO much information, it gets confusing! It does look a bit dark... I did hear that it's a bit windy- on page 338 of the forum, jmb0902 has a picture where she had to put a plate over her hurricane glass because the wind kept blowing out the candle. So I'm still thinking of ideas for lighting... this website has pretty cheap LED lights, I may need to buy them and figure something out- Cheap LED Party 'Floralytes' $1.34 Wholesale LED Submersible Lights I can picture the day I get married there is no wind... and I purchased these things for nothing lol. I guess better safe than sorry right?

I've read some things on this site, but still do not have a good feel for what/where that pool is. Our reception is going to be at the relaxed pool, so I want to make sure there is going to be enough lighting for a 6p-9p reception. And is it terribly far from the Bar? At our receptions, how do we get our drinks? Are there waiters that go to the bar for us?

I have read on here that she may be the WC assistant, and when we get there a different WC helps with the wedding? Either way, Aurora has already been a pleasure to work with =) I have asked tons and tons of questions, I'm sure she thinks I'm annoying at this point hehe

I've read reviews where they actually don't even charge for day passes, but I guess it depends who's running the front desk. And, yes, I was planning on buying him dinner too even though it will cost a small fortune:-) I'm hoping a happy photographer makes a great photographer!!! Pictures are SOOO important to me; that's one area I'm not skimping on! See you there!! Awesome Cheri, thanks. I asked Aurora and she told me 1/2 day pass because he's coming 230-930... hopefully there is a nice person at the front desk who won't charge lol. Okay, I will get him a dinner too. Where are you sitting him?

Thanks Hi Mandymert! We can bring an outside photographer- I don't see it in the contract either, but I emailed Aurora asking her if it was okay and would I have to buy him a day pass and she responded "Is required to purchase a day pass for the photographer the cost is : $90 USD full day pass or $55 usd half day pass." So I'm assuming because that was her answer, that it's okay to bring someone in =)
