  2. Hi. I'm using Dorimixx as well. How do I pay for his day pass and food/drinks? Do they just lump it in to the bill? Thank you, Tara

It's a great option for muic and for your vows....otherwise guests would not hear your vows. I had the resort use their own music... a collection of classical. I marched down the aisle to Cannon in D... it sounded great. Awesome!!! Thank you so much! I just don't want that table out there as I'm not going to need it...i was worried that it hid a speaker and sound system. xo, tt
  4. OMG...scary. I hope things got better. I hate hearing how snotty Natalia was to you...and that your guests had such issues with their rooms! tt
  5. Hi. Speaking of sound systems. Where are the speakers during the ceremony? Off to the side? Where do they control the songs from? Can you hear it whole you're walking down the asile? Thank you, tara

  7. Thanks for sharing. Your pictures are beautiful and you both look amazing. You did a great job styling your wedding from your blog to your event...fantastic! tt
  8. darn...hopefully this works. btw...your brochure really looks awesome!! i've still have a little to add...they are nine pages and i need 18. i have to send it out soon, because i have to get my guests dinner choices. unfortunately, i was originally told that i did not need to get that (by my wedding coordinator at the hotel) and now they want it. so, i did not put it in my invites. oh well. xo, tt
  9. Shoes...fuschia and light grey sounds really pretty! i hope you didn't purchase too much already and that the change is easy. here is the dress i got...i love it. was originally going for a beachy look, but of course ended up with the total opposite. i can't wait for my fi to see it. Kleinfeld Bridal - The Largest Selection of Wedding Dresses in the World! Carolina...you must be so excited about your fitting and getting your dress in july! congrats!! Regarding planning threads...I love them. I think those and the wedding reviews are my favorite things on BDW. I find that I check in to them the most. I've already started a folder of "planning" items. I've been trying to put the name of the BDW user that I got the template/idea from in the title of my document/image...otherwise I will totally foget. I've started working on a pre-wedding mailer that I hope to send out by the end of the month. I have all of the text, but am trying to tweak the look of it. I did it in Word and while that made it super easy, I am limited on design aspects. Are any of you doing one of these? It's got airport tips, our trip plan info, mexico info, etc in it. I also have a page in it that give the menu items and asks them to get back to me with choices. ...I found out after sending the invites that the resort needed this info well before the wedding weekend. have a great night. xo, t
  10. Hi Jo. I check back on your planning thread off and on...it's one of the best on the site. You did such a great job! I just noticed that you're pregnant...congratulations!!! Best wishes, Tara
  11. Cheri, thank you for the review. I am so happy to hear that you had such a wonderful time! I can't wait to see photos. Xoxo, tt

Here is a pic. http://i1008.photobucket.com/albums/...1930-large.jpg xoxo, tt
  13. Hi everyone. I got my dress this weekend...I love it. I was so nervous for no reason...so excited now and I can't wait for my fittings!! Congrats to all of the upcoming June brides!!! Can't wait to see your reviews, planning threads and see pics! xo, tara
  14. I sent out my invites a while ago (april) ... i know it's early, but i started getting freaked about rates going up and no one booking. now everyone but 4 guests have booked. I'm getting so excited!! tt
  15. Shoes...what did you change your theme to? What type of theme is everyone going with...beach theme, fiesta? My theme changed a little bit with my dress (my fi is going to have to dress it up a bit), but I'm still sticking with lots of traditional vibrant Mexican colors (like papel picados) and lots of candles. I spent a good part of the weekend dressing up clear votive holders...they are so pretty! tt
  16. Hi everyone. So, I got my dress this weekend...the whole thing turned out to be wonderful. I'm so happy and can't wait till my fittings in August! Yippee! tt
  17. I'm not sure if I asked this before, but does anyone have a jpeg or similar version of the resort map on the dreams tulum site (Dreams Tulum Resorts & Spas: Resort Map) that they could send me? I want to use this image in my welcome book and am trying to avoid asking the dreams wedding team for it. Thank you!!! tt
  18. Well, now I would like nothing more than to have a beauty-themed shower...where i get gift certificates to the salon for my eyelash extensions, brazilian blowout, haircut and color. These are the things I really don't need, but want and I know I am going to do just before the wedding. xoxo, tt

That is wonderful to hear...I really wanted the long table and 36 means that my group will fit! So happy to hear that in the end things worked out well for your wedding and reception. I guess you're glad you didn't get those floating oil candles. How was the decor at El Patio? The one at Dreams Riviera Cancun is gorgeous...the lighting is perfect. Can't wait to see pics and read your review. Some people gave Northerflasher tips on how to do a planning thread/review here: http://bestdestinationwedding.com/fo...-thread-58623/ The wedding review section is a sub-forum of the fourth forum (Share your wedding/engagement story). You need to put pics in photobucket and add the links where you want pics in your review. To start your review you just click the "new thread" link. I'm pretty sure that's how to do one. Hope this helps. xo, t

She must have told me that in person back in December. I pm'd you today about the 2009 guide...I cannot attach anything in a PM, so send me an email and I will forward it to you. I sent you my email address. tt
  21. I feel strange about it as well, but my friends told me to shut it. I guess I did go to their showers and I also traveled for their weddings, but I don't like all of the attention. So, they are throwing me one in August. They asked me for a list of guests and it is pretty much everyone is from the invite list. The exception is three co-workers, I didn't invite them to the wedding because they told me they couldn't travel...but I know it would have upset them to be left out of the shower. The other strange thing is that some people have asked me about where I'm registered for the shower. Huh? We only did Honeyfund because I was told by friends and family that I "HAD" to register somewhere. Is a shower registery normal? tt
  22. Congratulations and thank you for the review. You've got some great advice for all desination wedding brides. Seriously, I'm starting to think I need to write out color-code, bound, pictue-filled guides to my wedding weekend for the coordinators. Maybe with a pocket sized version that hangs from a chain...like a necklace. Ha ha. Just kidding. Kinda. Thank you again!! Xoxo, tara
