I think our entire wedding is going to be untraditional so I think the short dress fits. I just wish I hadn't spent the money on the other one, ha!

So, I dragged my FI out shopping yesterday (he hates shopping!) and we finally found our wedding bands so I am super excited! I will post pictures of mine as soon as I get it in but his is a Tungsten ring that he loves. His is brushed silver with a band of blue down the center. The blue matches my sapphire & diamond engagement ring which is what he wanted. My band is an anniversary band with small diamonds that match the diamonds on the sides of my engagement ring. I more thing off the list, Hooray!

Hi there! Just wondering if there are any other brides or brides to be that wore or are planning to wear a short wedding dress? I have looked at a ton of dresses & actually bought one I am not in love with but I keep going back to a short dress I bought that I intended as a reception dress. My mom thinks it would be fine to wear for the ceremony as well and would match my FI's khaki's and linen shirt. Any thoughts?

Hi everyone! So, we are finishing up getting everything for our OOT bags & I really wanted to incorporate something from my FI. He grew up in CA & loves to visit there to go hiking in Yosemite & Kings Canyon so I would love to put a little Sequoia tree kit in our bags but am not sure if you can do this going to Turks & Caicos, does anyone know? My FI has seen my dress...mostly because I had a dress dilemma & couldn't decide which dress to wear. But either way he would have seen it before the ceremony since we are doing photos the day before.

Ivory is a little more on the yellowish side, this is almost a diamond white. I tried to take a picture but it just looks white, ha!

Ok, on another note...I too am very nervous about my pictures. I always hate my photos...I have gained a lot of weight over the years & I just don't feel like I look which is nuts because why can't I just look like I feel, lol. FI & I have been doing the elliptical, watching what we eat but I still won't be "skinny" for the wedding in 2 months so pictures are making me stress. We hired a professional photographer but I am still stressed!

As for clothes, I love lane bryant & lands end boot cut jeans...my FI Loves me in the dark ones...you know...for the butt look, ha! As for shirts, I always seem to have a hard time, I have a big chest but my waist isn't as large so a shirt may fit me in my chest but look too baggy at the bottom. Any shirt places you guys have found?

Yep, we are doing a champagne toast, that's a good idea. I wonder how much the resort will charge us to do that...

Ha, I wish my family had the same sentiment finley. For us, this wedding is a splurge, period...we have both been married before & seriously just were going to do a justice of the peace type wedding but we really wanted a nice vacation. We are so excited about it! I can't wait to swim, walk on the beach, snorkel, drink, eat & just have fun with the few people that did decide to join us!

This is something I am so worried about...I normally burn with high SPF sunscreen on and my FI has fair skin as well. He refuses to go tanning with me but I am definitely going to start soon to have a little color before we go.

We were hoping for my best friend to be my MOH, no bridesmaids...and I was really hoping for my FIs brother to come & be his best man...well my MOH swears she is coming but hasn't gotten her flights or anything yet and my FIs brother told me Friday that he can't afford to go. At this point we both just have said, if they show, fine but we aren't going to let them ruin our wedding/honeymoon and we certainly aren't paying for them. It amazes me though how people are...we said from day 1, if you can't afford to go we understand but don't wait to the last minute telling us you can go then canceling.

I am hoping to put them together before leaving & having them all in 1 suitcase. I only have 10 people coming with us so I don't think that will reach our weight limit but I will definitely check.
