    So instead of wedding stuff...we finished painting our bathroom last weekend & this weekend we are hoping to finish painting our dining room. I wouldn't rush so much but apparently his mom & grandparents will be coming up for the "surprise" shower & this will be the first time they are seeing the house which has been a work in progress since october, ha! I definitely need the vacation : )

    Originally I wasn't going to have a shower. We figured people would be spending money to attend the wedding plus this is the 2nd wedding for both of us. My best friend & her husband canceled on us 2 weeks ago & I was so down about it so my FI told me that my mom is planning a surprise shower for me & I was to "act" surprised because she wanted to make me feel better about only a few people going. Gotta love mom, she's great!

    I found a cute white, brown & blue dress for my rehearsal dinner. FI also let me in on my secret bridal shower because he knows that I didn't want one (2nd marriage) so told me to be prepared and not to spoil it for my mom, ha! Now to decide what to wear to that.

    FI & I have a camper trailer & 2 dogs, we go out a few times a year in PA, VA and GA. When we go to GA we typcially meet his family that lives in FL & make it a week-long vacation.

    $70 is high. I am not sure what to do with my nails. I have none really, they are so brittle from washing my hands so much as a nurse. I am worried about acrylic because of the salt water. Any of you found anything yet?

    I'm in PA & getting married in May in Turks & Caicos. The resort wasn't too bad but the flights there cost a little more than they would to Mexico or Jamaica.

    We wanted to do something for our parents because this year is both my parents & FI's parents 35th wedding anniversary & it is also Mother's day the day after our wedding so we decided to let them choose, private candlelit dinner on the beach or couples massage. My parents picked the massage & his the dinner & they are both so excited about it.

    Yep, $50 to bring your own kit, we got one that we liked the shape of rather than the one the resort has. I also asked about set up (i.e. placecards, favors, etc) and they told me it would be a flat fee of $250 to do any set up so I just decided to put our favors in with their welcome bags. I don't think anyone will really mind & we are doing a dinner at one of the restaurants like Kelly.

    Finally got my wedding band today! This is my e-ring and wedding band. My ring has sapphires & diamonds FI's wedding band

    So, I've seen this mentioned in a few posts but just wondered how many of us play World of Warcraft with our FI's? My FI asked me to try it about 3 months after we met & he was so patient trying to teach me the game...now I am addicted but find it a great way to spend time with him and chat with other people all over the world. We actually have some really good friends we have met through the game we talk to or visit on occasion. So the real question...what's your class! Shaman

    Nephews are so fun! We have 2 of them (1 with my brother & 1 with FIs), 1 that is 2 years old & the other is 4 months and my brother has another one due this summer. They are great and just such characters. Congrats!

    I have gone back & forth on mine also & decided a short dress would be perfect. I won't be as hot and I'll match my FI's attire of a linen shirt & khakis (my dress is ivory so it matches his shirt perfect). Plus it won't be as hard to take on the plane! Ultimately though I think it is how you feel, if you want a long dress go with that otherwise this one is very cute!

    I love these but after reading this I have some security concerns also. We are staying at a large resort also so with 6 pools, 16 restaurants, etc...they wouldn't know by looking at this which one we were at unless we left a blank spot.

    Still haven't gotten mine back from the jeweler but my FI's I think is pretty cool. I will have to take a picture of it later today.
