  1. Here are our girls...Cali (Italian Greyhound) and Abby (not so mini daushund) These are my past babies (Greta & Tilly) I miss greatly : ( And last...Lilley who is a dog I rescued and now is spoiled rotten by my parents
  2. Is anyone else doing this... Last night I was sitting here at my computer with my "to do" list & seriously just thought...I am done, ha! I want to be at the beach now...get married and have a great vacation...heck with all the planning. But then I look at everything and I am happy how things have turned out (bags, dress, etc...) and sad that in 2 weeks it will be over. Ugh, emotions...why can't men be like this...worried about all the details & just for 1 day it not be me.
  3. They were the medium bags from Vista. Jeremiah LOVES chocolate so I had to do something with chocolate and I am a nurse so we wanted a little something that showed things we enjoyed. The only thing I am disappointed with were the key card holders. I couldn't find the lock top ones in a small quantity & I couldn't see buying 50 when I needed 10 so I found an open option from staples but they seem a little big to me.
  4. I just posted my OOT bag pics & my pre-travel brochure. I don't have much else to post...I am almost finished with my welcome letter & my music list but not yet, hopefully this weekend I can finish that. Next week I am on the road for work so I'm stressin a little more than normal.
  5. Awesome! Thanks Krys! My grandmother loves email, ha! So we can update her everyday & make sure things are ok.
  6. This was the pre-travel brochure I sent out in March (about a month & a half before the wedding). I removed some of the clip art & pics in order to get this to post on here. I send it with a flip-flop luggage tag (one for each traveler) and our personaized chocolate bars. Pre Travel Brochure.doc
  7. So these have been done for about 2 weeks but I just haven't gotten around to taking pictures of them. I love them. I gave my parents theirs last weekend & my mom called & loved it...she said it was like going to the Oscar's (granted everything is a lot cheaper than those gifts, ha) We got the bags from Vistaprints - they turned out nice I think. We left our names off so people could use them more after the come home. This is our bags with everything in it except for a few snacks. We did a cabana towel, flip flops, underwater camera, disposable camera, bug spray, shout wipes, tissues, notepad, pen, personalized cup, hand sanitizer, suntan lotion, first aid kit, Hershey's candle, fan, key holder/lanyard, Nurse Kit (includes advil, tylenol, benadryl, zantac, pepto, imodium), Chocolate Kit (large chocolate bar & a few mini bars with personalized wrappers), and wine charms (these are our favor but we decided to just put them in our bags. What do you guys think?
  8. I was wondering if anyone traveling to T&C knows if wi-fi will work with a laptop. I originally didn't want to take it but my grandmother is watching our dogs & we want to check in with her and our cellphones aren't compatible. Thanks! Chrissy
  9. I think Delta only bumps you for a fee & if they have extra seats. FI's mom got our tickets with her frequent flier miles, you would think that would be enough, ha!
  10. I ordered ours through Vistaprint. They are canvas bags people can reuse.
  11. Hi Liam! Welcome to the forums!
  12. My weaknesses are pizza and chips. I try not to buy them but on days that FI & I are working long hours or doing house remodeling all day it's so easy to order that pizza. I found that packing definitely helps so I don't buy the junk but it's so hard.
  13. Congrats! Definitely check out the subforums for Hawaii & Mexico, you will find a lot of information in each that might help you make your decision.
  14. Congrats & welcome to the forums! You will find a lot of great information here!
  15. FI & I wanted casual so we found him a linen shirt and khaki linen pants...he loves it which I think is so important.
  16. We are staying together. We have been through so much together in the last 5 years that we feel that this is a ceremony to make things "official" but we already are committed to each other & spending every day together. But I am probably going to boot him over to his parents room to get ready while I use our room, ha!
  17. Does this give your nails length or just make them thicker...sorry I'm a nail noob. Being a nurse for so long & not being able to wear nails I just never keep up : )
  18. Thanks dpitre! I can't believe it is 2 weeks until I leave. I am so exicited!! I got all our travel docs in the mail today and it's just hitting home how close we are until the trip of a lifetime : )
  19. Hi everyone. I will be traveling to Turks & Caicos in 2 weeks and am on some regular meds, no narcotics but things like my birth control pill. Does anyone know if I need to have anything special from my doctor to get through customs? The meds are in their prescription containers. I saw an old thread from 2008 but nothing recent on here and with some issues with security in the past year I wanted to see if anything was new. Thanks! Chrissy
  20. Good luck Janine! I think if we had more people going I would definitely go the DJ route but we have 10 of us so I thought a more intimate dinner type wedding would work better.
  21. Kelly, it is definitely scary... I too have failed multiple times but FI & I decided when we get home that we are going to work hard to get in shape so hopefully I can get pregnant. I may look at the challenge. Good luck!
  22. Hey Janine! We are just going with a CD of music. I have a small number of people going so we are doing a 1 hr private cocktail reception and going to have music at that (first dances and all) but after the cocktail hour we are just all heading to one of the resort restaurants for dinner instead of paying for a private dinner. This way people also get to choose what they want to eat. So Ipod or CD is what we decided on rather than a live DJ.
