Question... I was thinking about doing Parasols as well but we are getting married in a gazebo... would that look stupid for the BMs to have them while they are in the gazebo?

Well no relationship is perfect and there is times when my FI wont tell me things (not big though) but it bothers me at times. You and your FI sounds like my relationship (we are in our early 30's and have been together for 3 1/2 years). If you had only known him for a short period of time I would say be cautious but since you've been with him for a while and should know him pretty good I would just say go with your gut. It sounds like your relationship is strong enough to by pass this issue. Also we all know that men mature later than us! :-)

Karenk77, I'm sorry to hear about your situation and hope everything works out. The best advice I could give you is to analysis the events. Also how long have you been together? Has he kept something from you before? As for the gambling debt, you mentioned that this was in the past, how long ago did this happen? Sorry if I missed that post if you mention that timeline. Dont rush on making any decisions but do think about the situation. This could be a glimpse of how things could be like in your future (especially if he has a gambling problem). This could be a blessing in disguise but if you think this is just a one time deal then I would say forgive and forget! I know it's easier said than done... Sorry if my response goes back and forth but I really dont know your complete situation. Trust your gut!

Hi Future Mrs. Rell! I'm hoping there will be more of us on here (Aventura Brides). I saw a thread were there was a lot of information about Aventura and it has been helpful. I know that some brides have been contacted by there onsite coordinator 6 or 7 months prior to their wedding. I decided to go with the Sapphire package and think we will have around 25 people in our wedding (picked the package for the pics and video). I have been working with the first contact wedding coordinator from the palace resort and here is the link to view there wedding pics and video: Palace Weedings Photography I guess I could have gone with the free wedding package and bring in my own photog but thought we couldnt have one but from looking at other threads it looks like it's doable.

Nice to hear I'm not alone! Likewise we are going to have two AHR (one in OHIO and one in TX, and maybe one in Denver where we currently live)... so that would be THREE! I was thinking about taking one of the pictures from the wedding and put it on a photo announcement card then include a separate stationary card with the AHR information on it. What do you guys think about that?

Congratulations! I think the Riviera Maya is a great place to get married and more affortable for your guests. One thing you want to do is send Save the Dates out as soon as possible if your planning to have people come since May - June is 6 months away. Also if you need a travel agent you can go to Wedding Destinations and Planning | Destination Weddings .com and they are very helpful and will book travel for your guests. They also have information about resorts on their website and they can help you choose the destination that works best with your needs. Happy Planning! Cristi

Congrats and welcome to the forum! The great thing about Mexico is that there are TONs of all inclusive resorts to choose from. It really is the way to go! Good luck with planning and if you need any help you can also go to Wedding Destinations and Planning | Destination Weddings .com. They are travel agents that primarly focus on destination weddings. They also help with picking a place that will accomodate your guests budget and they will also work with the onsite WC. We are getting married on June 26, 2010 at Aventura Spa Palace. So far I havent heard anything bad about the Palace resorts and I have stayed at Cozumel Palace before. They are great there! Happy Planning! Cristi
