Hello fellow September Brides! We are getting married on 9.3.2010 at Excellence Playa Mujeres, my fiance proposed to me on the beach at EPM. We loved the resort so much we thought it would be lovely to go back and get married there. :-) We have been to Mexico 7 times now (yes, we have been toghether for 6 years) and we always travel around this time of year. The weather has been great, last year we had an afternoon shower around 3:00, but that was it. We have gone in October and it did rain, they said that it was the rain season. So hopefully we will all have lovely warm sunshine for our weddings. I just mailed out my STDs and I emailed them as well with our wedding site info. My dress will be here in February too, can not wait. I think I covered it all here. May I ask what you guys are putting in your welcome bags? Are any of you that are having your ceremony on the beach, going to have parasols for your guests? I did not know how many to get, I am sure not everyone will want them and I will not have room in my suitcase...advice? Hello Thope: I went with Del Sol Photography, Vincent will be shooting our wedding. The office manager is Melissa, she is great. They worked out a payment plan so I did not have to pay it all in one huge chunk. They do not charge you travel since they are in Playa del Carmen. Elizabeth Medina charges you travel and you have to put her up in a hotel room the night before and her prices were higher. Hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions. Good Luck. Shanna

Thank you s_katrese & MSG518 for the nice welcome and you helpful advise. :-) I too think it will be easier to take care of all the legal parts here and have the symbolic in Mexico, that way we would not have to worry. I was thinking to use the ceremony as our anniversary date as well, that helps to know that I am not the only one. Thanks again for your insight and I am sure that I will have more questions soon. Hello All! I am new this forum and I am a EPM bride to be and I have to say that your post have been so helpful. My then boyfriend and now fiance vacationed at EPM this past August. He asked me to marry him on the beach there, right past the wedding gazebo and palm trees. So, we are going back to get married on the very same beach, I am so very excited. We have not picked the location, beach or gazebo yet, any thoughts from any of the brides that have been married at EPM? Also, are there any of you that are getting married via courthouse and then having the Symbolic Ceremony at the resort? If any one is or has, what date to you use as your anniversary date...the legal date or the date that you had your ceremony? Thank you in advance for your help. Smiles, Shanna

Hello All: My name is Shanna, I live in the Dallas, Texas area. I am getting married on 9.3.2010. We are getting married on the beach at Excellence Playa Mujeres. We got engaged on the beach at Excellence Playa Mujeres on 8.27.09, so we are so excited to get married there next year.
