Andrew you did such a fantastic job and I am TOTALLY jealous Taylorwd I don't remember if you talked about this earlier in the thread, and if you did I am SO SORRY, but remind me again: did you bring your own fabric for the chair ties/aisle runner and just pay the set-up fee, or did you rent them from the venue? I'm looking through my package trying to get a feel for our budget and I don't know what would be more cost-effective. And I know we've all heard 100 different quotes on prices for set-up, etc...so I'd love to hear directly from you if you don't mind Thank you Celina!! We are just over the moon about our pictures. I'm sure Andrew would jump at the chance to shoot your wedding in January We used their fabric for everything. Colored fabric costs more than white, fyi. Our jute runner was $40, the pink fabric draped over the wall was $75, the two white pieces of fabric over the beach gazebo in the background were $75 each, and the chair fabric was $4 each. Why the jute runner was only $40 but the other, smaller piece of pink was $75 is beyond me! The set-up fee we paid was $40 onsite to the WCs. My understanding is that that was only for the decorations we brought with us (mostly reception stuff). There shouldn't be a charge if you're not bringing anything extra. I agree, looking at everyone's pictures is so much fun and definitely adds to the excitement. AmyB asks a good question, what month is your wedding? Our ceremony was at 4:00 and sunset at 7pm. We did that on purpose so that we wouldn't have long shadows in our pictures. For us it was: 4:00 Ceremony 4:30-5:00 group pictures 5-6:30pm our pictures 6:30 Reception start

Nice teasers sasse75! Really beautiful everything! Suzy, I LOVE the gazebo you got married in!! We're doing an AHR but it's not until June 26th.

Thank you!!!! I'm back and just trying to catch my breath! Things will be much much better after this week, so maybe we can discuss this weekend a good time to get together?

Welcome Mirelle! You should contact one of the TAs on here by clicking at the very top of the screen. They're all specialized by DW location and will be able to give you all kinds of options depending on your wants/needs. Choosing the resort/location is often the hardest part, and I can't imagine having had to do all of it myself! Mexico will definitely be your best bet if money is an issue.

They are about 5 minutes apart in a car and a 10-15 minute walk down the beach. We walked down and took a stroll through AS b/c we were curious. But I really, really just think they got mixed up. It would make no sense to send you to the smaller of the two resorts. AS has more restaurants and is better able to accommodate even small groups. AB only does one wedding a day b/c it's so small. It would be a huge inconvenience on AB for you to go there.

This thred is just amazing & you ladies are all soo helpfull, thinking of Katie & Amy, hope all is going as the imagined! Just wanted to check something our TA has said, we have booked a beach cermony @ Sensatori, with the gold wedding package, but she has said that we have to have the reception at Blue International restaurant @ Azul Beach?!? Can't really understand why this is? Only have a small party 9 adults & 1 child (incl bride & groom) so not like we can't fit into one of the many reception areas at Sensatori!? Has anyone else experienced anything like this? Thanks girls & happy planning! Congratulations!!!! Is your WC Tiffany by chance? Only asking because when we were in the process of confirming everything, she said she had us confirmed for Spoon at Sensatori. Mind you we were getting married at Azul Beach. Turns out she just got mixed up on our resort. My guess is that the same happened with you. There is no way they would move you to AB. Their policy is that you have to get married and have your event at the resort you're staying at, no switching.

We had it on the Blue Terrace, but they are no longer offering that as an option for a private event unless you have 80 people. It sucks for all future brides because it's the perfect location, covered but still outside and with a lot of room. I too would be worried about being cold on a November evening! Hopefully you'll hear back from your WC soon about what your options are. I don't have the updated list of locations or I'd tell you myself. Sand ceremony picture frame box

I haven't read through the previous posts, so someone may have already said this. We just used the Umbra frame for our sand ceremony and it did not work! Well, it worked fine for the ceremony but started leaking pretty much right away. We've since dumped all the sand out and will do it again. We're going to glue in the back two panes and are confident that will solve the problem. This frame came from another bride on here who used it over a year ago, and she said it never leaked for her. I'd love to know her trick! -

Yes, 50 minutes from AB, and the same from AS since the two hotels share the same access road. We were going to bring CDs with music for the boat, or plug in my mp3. Mark had said the format could be mp3, ipod or CD.

BYE AMY!!!!!!!! Your two years of planning is finally over!!!! I know you'll have just the most fabulous wedding with lots and lots of sunshine the whole trip! I cannot wait to hear all about it when you get back. You'd better have some teaser pics ready b/c you've got a lot of not-so-patiently waiting brides on here!

Do you guys have a lot of vacation time left? you only did 1 week in MX this time around, correct? Actually we did 10 days in Mexico and I used up every bit of my vacation time! I even dipped into unpaid time by 1 hour. But lucky for me, while I don't get many vacation days per year during the time I'm working, I work for the school district so I get plenty of time off. It just is at designated times, like the summer, spring break or the holidays. I've decided that after you get married you should have a mandatory 3-4 week vacation! We spend months and months or even years planning for this one day, get super stressed for long periods of time, lose sleep for weeks and months, and then all we get, if we're lucky, is a one week honeymoon. Hmmm, doesn't seem right!

We would go back to our resort in Mexico. We can use our credit at any Karisma property in the Riviera Maya, but we love our resort so much that we don't want to try another one.

Hi May brides!!! I just wanted to pop in and wish you all luck with your upcoming weddings! Us April brides are all married as of today, so now it's your time to shine! HAPPY WEDDING DAYS TO COME!!

I want to do the wedding day all over again. There is no way I'd do the last year of planning over again! I'd have to elope, LOL. Even knowing how great the wedding day would be, I'd still have to elope!
