Seeing those pictures of his face is going to be priceless!! Good thing your photog was there to capture it! Nice choice for the last picture! I didn't see too many of yours (only from your planning thread) but of the ones I saw I think that one was my favorite! Sooooo classy and way sexy!
  2. Amy I'm the same way!! I'm sooooooo excited for another bride on here who's booked my photog because I know just how amazing the pics are going to turn out! Chris takes some damn fine photos--don't you just want to take your pictures all over again?!! Or better yet, let's relive our wedding days!

Because I scheduled my shoot so close to my wedding, I still don't have my book. I just sent the revisions back last week so hopefully I'll have it really soon! I might give it to him when we have our AHR. I think we're staying in a hotel downtown so that'll be a good time. BUT, hubby LOOOOOOOOOOVED the pictures I had printed for him!!!!! I gave them to him in person on our wedding day while we were having breakfast on our balcony. When he opened it and I explained the reasons for doing the shoot for him, I made him cry!! One now sits very nicely displayed by our bed. The other is in his underwear drawer so he can see it every morning

  5. OMG Amy 10 days!!!!!! And 9 for Renee!!!!! You must be jumping out of your skin!

I could definitely be wrong though!

  9. Register on the Lomas Travel website? Never heard of having to do that. Why do they want you to?
  10. Jenna, we're still doing the party barge. We wouldn't even consider not doing that!! If I wore my dress it would only be for an entrance-type thing and by the time we pulled into a cove I'd have my swimsuit on. Even though we've invited a lot more, it seems like we may only have 30 guests or so. I'm thinking burgers and chicken on the grill, make our own side dishes, keg of Fireman's 4, a few champagne bottles for a toast, and a cupcake tower (if you can call 30 a tower) with an itty-bitty but pretty cake on top!
  11. We're still trying to work out the details of ours. Cake, cupcakes or what? Our wedding cake tasted good but looked terrible, so there's a part of me that wants a 'real' wedding cake this time. Wear the dress or no dress? I just got it cleaned to get a stain out and want to sell it, so if I wear it I'll probably have to clean it again... Catered food or make our own? We want it to be as wedding-like as possible, especially for those coming from out of town, but we also need to keep the cost low. Lots to do but still waaaaaaaay easier than the wedding!
  12. Amy so stunning!!!!! LOVE EVERYTHING! What a gorgeous bouquet! I am so thrilled it was the most perfect day for you--no one deserves it more after all that planning you did!!
  13. Katie WELCOME BACK!!! Aw, your brother's pics are wonderful!!! Everything looks like it was perfect! I love the second to last picture of you two in front of the palm tree. So sweet! Oh, and the back of your dress is sooooo pretty!!!

I do PR so it was a client's from an event... basically a retractable hook on either end of a self standing poll.) We bought this great polaroid type camera that prints out mini photos that have an aged feel to them. We are going to leave the camera on the table next to the booth with directions on how to operate. We are going to bring a box of props for people to use in their photos. Then we are ordering antique looking placard frames that fit the mini polaroid-type photos. So not a real photo booth by any means, but a make-shift one...I hope everyone likes it but I know my friends love to take pics of themselves so it should work out. The thing about hanging the large frame from the gazebo on the sky deck is that there doesn't seem to be a beam that runs horizontally except for the one in the very front or the one in the very back and I think it would look best in the middle. Maybe if I bring heavy duty wire we could hang in the middle by attaching the wire to the beams on the outside of the gazebo. Hmm. Maybe I'll have to give this more thought. I really love the photo booth you're making!! It sounds like it's going to be awesome and you'll walk away with really great memories Certainly wire would work. The gazebos are really heavy duty. I can't speak personally for the one on the Sky Deck, but wouldn't the minister usually stand in the middle under it? Would you all just step forward a few feet? Hanging the frame is such a neat idea!!
  15. I know, really quiet! Kind of amazing how quickly it happened. I was used to not being able to keep up with all the chatter. My AHR isn't until June 26th. Anyone else?
  16. Amanda, LOVE your ideas!!! I think you can pull them off, including hanging a frame from the sky deck gazebo. You're making a photo booth? Do tell. I like Amazing Wedding Cakes!
  17. Oh Amy that is too funny! LMAO! Okay it's only funny because it worked out. If it hadn't I wouldn't be laughing. I'm soooooo glad you got sun your whole trip. Good call on the fondant. I have no doubt using buttercream contributed to our cake not looking so great. Well, that coupled with a really terrible cake decorator! Maybe I watch too many cake shows and was expecting too much...
  18. Ah, thanks Amy for the clarification. No FB at work so it'll have to wait

Possibly through the headphone jack. I don't recall seeing a USB output on the TV.
  21. Oh yeah, AmyB, but you can play music through the TV's. Sweet flatscreens. We had all our wedding music backed up to CDs so we just listened to that in our rooms.

We were late for 4 wedding appointments before we realized ours was 20 minutes slow with no way to change the time. Of our guests that tried to hook in their iPods, none worked. We had a late night session on the beach! They absolutely don't mind. They shut off the lights at night, but we ran across one of the security guys and he turned them on for us. It's nice soft blue lighting.
