Then I can talk to the WC at Azul Sensatori and see what dates in May of 2011 are open. YIKES! I am an event planner so it's not like I can't get everything I was planning to do over 2 years done in 1 rightLOL Question for you ladies; I have had 2 WC's contact me from AS Tiffany Borowsky and Cécile Alix. Did anyone have good experiences with one or both? Thanks ladies! I would be Lost without you guys! I am one of those mentioned that had a terrible time with Tiffany. From the very beginning I thought she was slow to answer and was terrible with the answers she gave. I tried bullets and numbering and she still would miss my questions. She didn't know AB very well which was frustrating for planning reasons. And then there was a big fiasco at the end which was a combination of her fault and the resort's.

Also you have to have a private guest list for anyone coming to your suite because it's escort only to those suites which is pretty cool. I paid $2,000 for the suite and I'm having everyone bring a bottle of alcohol and a mixer, get some hor'derves and done! Fuuuuuuuuun!

Congratulations! BBGE made our short list of resorts we considered. It looks fabulous!! Happy planning!

I used Amol's as well and loved the maracas!! A couple words of advice: let them air out as soon as you get them because they have a very strong chemical smell. Also, pack them very carefully. The paint is fragile and will chip or scrape off if the maracas knock against each other during travel. Congratulations on this great find! Lori- These maracas are not small at all. They're much larger and more substantial than most out there.

Okay Lindz, I'm gonna temporarily jump back on the To Do bandwagon. See Amy, this is why you should be soooooo grateful your AHR is being planned for you! Do you have a lot of Vegas planning you need to do? Taylorwd's To Do's 1. Finalize head count 2. Finalize with the baker 3. Order keg 4. Price a margarita machine 5. Order banner 6. Put together a wedding slideshow 7. Put together playlist 8. Decide on a guestbook 9. Brainstorm the menu 10. Finalize with the rental company 11. Make final decision on renting a van/driver 12. Find a cook

Lindz, LOVE those pictures!!!! My favorites are 5116, 5317 and 5339. You look hot in all your pictures (you're going to be a GORGEOUS bride!) but I especially love that pink outfit. Nice!! Onto the photog issue: Really, what's up with blocking you on fb Who does that to a client? I agree with all the advice you've already gotten. You need to be very firm, possibly threatening, and get something back out of her. The only possible reason I could think of for her behavior is that May is probably one of the busiest, if not the busiest, wedding month where you are. At least it is here in Texas. I've been having a similar, though not nearly as difficult, situation with the photog who did my boudoir, and it's because she's overwhelmed and overbooked herself. Do you live near her? Does she have a studio where you can pay her a visit?

Wow that's a lot of money, Chong, just for that!! Mine and my MOHs bouquets were 50 each. Even though they were the same price, mine was much much larger. Huge really. The boutonnieres were 25 each. Same with corsages for the moms. You must be getting some really stellar flowers! I know they raise prices every year but the price you gave seems a little out of control. If you throw in all the decoration flowers I could see it, but for just your stuff, no way!

For you AB ladies, I was just reading on tripadvisor that AB is about to start construction in August. More than what I just mentioned about the spa. Apparently they're revamping the rooms and expanding the resort to bring the total count to 128 rooms (adding 30 rooms). I think it said Aug-Dec 2010. Most of our AB brides on here don't have weddings until 2011, but Sara's (dirtymartini) is in November this year.

When we did our site visit we were transfixed with the Villa but ultimately have decided against the villa in lieu of the suite for more privacy. Haha, I WISH we had stayed in the Suite!!! It was out of our price range. We stayed in a Deluxe room, one of the middle ones that juts out the farthest on the second floor. It was very spacious and we loved it! Only no jacuzzi tub Right now hair/makeup/nails is done in a converted suite, Room 701 if I recall. By the time you have your wedding the brand new spa might be open. It's set to open in 2011. Lucky you!!!

I've been to even small weddings where they had no rehearsal and there was a lot of confusion. The bride doesn't see the confusion b/c she's off waiting, but I've seen it plenty of times as a guest. We did one but our situation was different. Since my brother was our officiant we didn't need to involve anyone in the hotel and just set it all up ourselves. Also do flowers and stuff have to come from LOMAS? Ginger, I had my hair/makeup done at AB and was overall very happy. I give a detailed account in my review (under my siggy). A bit of advice is to definitely get a trial done! It'll be the best money you spend, if nothing else for peace of mind on your wedding day. Anyone that comes on the property that you pay for wedding services is considered an outside vendor. You're welcome to bring in a MAC artist and use someone besides Lomas for your flowers, but you have to get approval and you'll be paying the outside vendor fee ($500) for each of them.

Nice job on the shutterfly spread! In your pictures it looks like you guys were having so much fun! I love it!! For the whole group shot, did you really have that many people go on the cruise with you? If so I'm impressed! Same here, we've been trying to return to a normal life. Every weekend I send out some thank you's, and I already took my dress to get cleaned. I was hoping to sell it but they couldn't get the stain out. I gave them permission to try a really harsh chemical, so fingers crossed! Other than that we're in the throws of planning our AHR. I went decoration shopping today, and we have a cupcake tasting tomorrow. Mmmmmmmm.

What are you walking down the Aisle to?

"She" by Elvis Costello. Adapted to the violin. -
Oh fiiiiine! *hmpf* I was hesitant too, and a little taken aback, when Andrew posted my link, because if you skip the slideshow you get access to all 900+ pictures, including one of me from behind in a bikini (thanks for that Andrew!). But I quickly got over it b/c the pics are so fun to look at, and now I freely share the link and shrug it off! I thought about doing something with the images once he sent them to me, but I've been doing so much proofing, reviewing and editing lately that I just don't have the energy to put something else together. So people are getting the watermarks, LOL!

Does anyone know if they charge more for holidays? I am thinking Memorial Day May 2012 because we will only need a symbolic ceremony and according to them they only perform those M-Th Congrats on choosing the resort!! That's often one of the most difficult things about a DW. I've never heard they only do symbolic weddings M-Th. Plenty of brides at AS have had/are having symbolic ceremonies on Fridays and Saturdays. It wouldn't make sense for them to restrict you like that. Either that's a brand new policy for 2012 or someone is giving you wrong information. I don't know about charging more for holidays, sorry. 2012 prices probably don't come out for a few months, right? Hang tight and talk to Amybermuda and Renee when they get back. They're both there right now having Memorial Day weekend weddings.

I mean they work for the same resort but seem to all have different answers for all of us. Ugh! LOL, this doesn't surprise me one bit! At one point my WC said we were confirmed to have our reception at Spoon. My response was, "Um, Spoon? Isn't Spoon at Azul Sensatori? We're getting married at Azul Beach!" I used to ask her all kinds of detailed questions about the resort which she was never able to answer. Turns out she'd been on a tour of AB a couple of times but had never spent any real time there and has never stayed there. No wonder she wasn't familiar with the layout!! Having a Karisma wedding is so wonderful! -- except for this one issue.

Wow, what a great happy ending!! Congratulations to you!!!!

Congratulations on your engagement! And wow you've already got the date and the resort. Those are two of the hardest things so I'd say you're well on your way!!
