After the ceremony we all strolled down Benito Juarez to the water and they followed us and played. It was totally awesome. Highly recommended. After reading the reviews and recommendations my wife was more comfortable using Doranna than the resident hairstylist at Xcaret. Doranna invited us to her house in Tohoku for the trial. My wife totally loved it but was worried the hair wouldn't stay on the day of the wedding because of the heat and we were also performing a high intensity routine that consisted of salsa, contemporary and tango. But Doranna was awesome and my wife's hair remained sturdy for the whole night. A+ easily for Doranna. Freelance Italian Hair Stylist in Mexico - Doranna Hair Stylist - Playa del Carmen - Riviera Maya - Cancun - Tulum Citlalli Rico and Gerardo Rivera (Claudia Rodriguez Photography) Picking a photographer was probably the hardest thing. I initially wanted Elizabeth Medina. We are so much into color and we just love the way Elizabeth Medina makes everything pop. However we also wanted a videographer so we looked for a company that offered both services. After much research and reading and reviewing portfolios we went with Claudia Rodriguez's team. Citlalli, Tamara, Jerry and Jimmy were such an awesome group to work with. They were very attentive to our needs and our guests needs. Very patient, professional and charming. You can tell they love their work and work together as a team. We had them for 8 hours originally but extended them another 2. Great workers and great people. A+ all the way. I love the dress! It's so pretty! I LOVE LOVE lace! You can't go wrong, it has the spanish feel too:)! When I first started dresses on I said I wanted no lace....I tried on a ton of dresses and none of them felt special until I tried on my lace dress:)! I am also wearing my Mom's mantilla veil which is lace so it will be a special day for me with her veil on Here is a link to a girl who wore it and also a link to the website. The web picture isn't that great but I got lucky and found my dress on this girl while I was looking for photographers: Nicole & Chris’ Wedding | Ringling Sarasota FL Binaryflips Photography Orlando Wedding Photographer | New York | Connecticut | Sarasota | Naples Weddings Bridal Gowns, Wedding Dresses by Tara Keely - Style tk2917 -

I am very excited for our wedding. We have put so much thought into everything that we are doing. I hope our guests love everything and have a wonderful time with us. Engagement We were engaged 5/17/08 at Belle Mer in Newport, RI. He picked this day because it was exactly one year from when he “knew†he loved me. The previous year I had my wisdom teeth out and I went to NH to stay with my mom. Benny had gone to NYC because it was the last weekend before his parents went back to DR. He was so worried about me that he got on Amtrak from NY to Boston and then took a bus from Boston to NH to be with me. Where it all happened!!! Telling the world!!! HAPPPYYYY! We made her website Corinna Raznikov Photography (under urban engagements we are pics 7-9) The Rings-Benny designed my ring and I LOVE it. We found his ring when we were in London (his favorite place on earth) last year at Thanksgiving. Save the Date-DIY (materials from the Papersource) Hi Congrats everything looks great! Can you tell me where you got your invitations? What parts were DIY? I'm not the craftiest but I'm hoping to work something to keep pricing low. How much were yours? Thanks!!!

Hey girls I just wanted to ask those of you who went on site visits....did any of you girls have a problem with bugs? When we went in May we found 3 HUGE insects in our room. Apparently they come out of the mangrove due to the heat and find their ways into rooms. The guy said they had just fumigated....needless to say it freaked me out because these things were LARGE. We were told that this wasn't a normal issue and they would make sure nothing would happen to our guests when they came. Did any of you guys have that issue?

I remember Becks naming someone a while back. Has anyone else booked yet? At first I was thinking, wow, why spend the money to bring your own, but it's starting to seem more and more worth it. Assuming you pay for 3 nights stay and flights, that's only about $1000 for travel. I guess it would depend what they would charge for the weekend... I am using Susan from Robert and Kathleen Photographers. Their work is AMAZING! My friend used them for her wedding last fall. New Haven Lawn Club, New Haven, CT: Lisa & Alex's Wedding Story - Robert & Kathleen Photographers I looked into local photographers in Mexico as well but at the end of the day we felt more comfortable using someone in the U.S. and we also wanted to be able to get our Engagement shoot in NYC. They weren't cheap but their package deal was definitely worth it since we're getting coverage at the rehearsal dinner and the wedding day plus our engagement session in NYC.

Our date was locked due to another wedding but we really wanted to get married at the Xcaret chapel so we shifted everything one day. We really are so in love with the chapel so we shifted a few things around.. The person I talked to is an event manager there her name is Aura. Let me know if you want her contact info.

Hi Girls!! For those of those who are intersted Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe is completely gorgeous. FI and I went down this past January for a site visit. We were between Riviera Maya and Puerto Vallarta. While we were down there we reserved our date at this church for 11/13/2010. We decided to have our wedding in Riviera Maya a few months ago and somehow forgot to cancel our date with Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe. Anyhow - we called them last week so the date is now open for anyone who was looking to get married there on that date. The church is just breathtaking and perfect. You are all going to have an amazing ceremony!

We Love chef Oscar he is amazing and the entire staff including Luis and Allibe they are awesome! If any of you need any info about my provider’s I’m more than happy to help. That way I can make my 3 month research worth for more people. We all are in a budget right? I have info about: DJ Makeup and Hair Flowers (the best in Cancun) Photographer Rental in chairs, table cloth and lights Let me know if you need any of them and will send it. Good luck and relax Avi Hi Avi! So glad you decided to post on here and so happy I found you! For those of you that don't know the Hacienda Tres Rios has a fan page on facebook and the cool thing is that they post a ton of pics. This will be helpful for those that haven't been to the resort. Avi I can't wait to hear how your wedding goes in August! Question - is it common for everyone to get charged in US dollars? When I visit other places in Mexico and central america it isn't this way. I am curious how much they are hiking the prices for people that are not from the Cancun area.

You did an amazing job on everything!! I like the idea of the post cards instead of a guestbook. My FI and I love to travel so this is a great one for us to use. Where did you buy your maracas and the fan? How much were they? Were the invites hard to put together? I'm not crafty :{ How much was the total in the end? We're figuring out whether we should tackle this on our own or not.

Becks my outside wedding coordinator is Lissette Velez. She works with Celebracion Cancun. Let me know if anyone wants her contact information. She speaks perfect english. We met with her during both of our site visits. Her company does charge a fee but I think they are flexible with how much coordination you want. We are having them do most of ours except with the exeption of a few vendors.

We had previously been working through TA Jill and she's been so helpful throughout this whole process that we preferred to use her for our group contract. The resort said that this was fine but at the last minute they put an extra clause in our contract which stated that any guest who did not book though Jill's contract would be charged the FULL menu price (ie $60 plus bar cost) for private events. We were obviously upset but thankfully Jill was able to negotiate and get this taken out of our contract. We signed yesterday :-) I think that there is definitely peace of mind that you get by using a great TA but just keep this in mind before you sign a contract with the resort. Our TA had no problem getting the same perks for us that we would have gotten going directly through H3R. Also, our contract says rooms, not room nights. As for appetizers...Allibe told us that Oscar would put together a selection for us and that we could either have them sitting out or passed. It doesn't seem like the have a set appetizer menu that you select from. You can also do a signature cocktail if you would like and there is open bar at the cocktail hour as well. They also serve all of your guests a glass of champagne when there ceremony is over. Hi Becks! I emailed you our contract let me know if you got it:)

The part that I'm still not sure on and is different in everyone's contracts is Rooms or room nights. Ex: one person could stay for 5 nights which would = 5 rooms... This might help the ones with smaller attendance at their wedding...but I think some contracts are stating ROOMs not room nights Have any of you heard what type of appetizers/hors d'œuvres they offer during the cocktail hour?
