Hi Ladies - So grateful I found this thread! I took a drive in today and got 30 for $2.25 each. I think they may charge less when you go in person. I wish I lived closer so I could go more often but I got a few for myself as well ; )

Becks - I am in the process of finalizing favors and menu/place cards things like that. We met with the florist and our wedding coordinator back in September so they have an idea of what we want and are visualizing for the ceremony and reception. As far as the welcome party we are doing it at the beach between the river and the beach so we will be surrounded by water:) We are using the white chairs that the resort has for that event and are doing a really laid back welcome party. We are thinking of having candles surrounding the river and beach for a romantic look and just simple flowers or shells in vases. As far as the wedding, that's where I"m having an issue with the chairs. I wanted to do something different so it would look a little more formal for the wedding day. I wanted the silver tiffany chairs but seems so hard to find them in the area For the menu - what kind of appetizers are you guys doing? We haven't selected that yet since we never did tasting on those. We have a big Italian/Spanish family so they are very much foodies and we need to make sure they are well fed; ) Let me know what you girls are thinking. I told Luis when I met with him that I wanted a Tres Leches cake and we got quoted about $200 - are you girls all getting charged for the cake? For some reason I thought it was included?? I also asked him for a personalized drink for us as "something blue"

Has anyone heard of Father John McCormick? I just found out the priest we met with in May - Father Jeffrey Jambon got transferred to the US! So now we are in search of a priest again :**( Our coordinator told us about Father McCormick. Please let us know if any of you have met him or had a mass done by him. Thanks -

Wow that sounds like a good deal. I think the lowest quote I got was $450. Can you send me their contact information? Thanks so much! -
I actually just heard from her today. I reached out to her to ask her a question about chair choices. Seems like they only have those white ones. What were you looking for? Maybe one of us can help? Tomorrow will begin my one month countdown! Time flies ladies! I'm so excited but so nervous because there is still so much to do.

Has anyone used CancunCd? I got their info but want reviews from any previous brides. We are thinking of using them. -
I'm actually from Stamford but I live in Norwalk now!! Can't believe everything is getting so close!!! So exciting! The only issue is I feel like I have so much to do!! Where are you ladies honeymooning? We are thinking of Excellence in Isla Mujeres but wanted to spend a few days in the Riviera Maya too. Any good suggestiosn w/a good beach? We've been to Secrets Maroma already and loved it! But we wanted to try something new.

I hope everything worked out for you girls with the Mexicana issue. We actually had to switch our flight out because our flight got cancelled!!! The airline had a schedule change and so the direct flight we were on got cancelled..UGH! We moved our flight one day earlier though so I think this will make us feel more at ease and is probably better. How are the rest of everyone's wedding plans going? One month to go!!!!!! Crazy but exciting!

Hey Girls- I just wanted to let you know that I went to the Hacienda Tres Rios with my Mom to finalize some wedding plans. The property is still as gorgeous as ever! I will upload pictures this weekend for you girls. We finally decided on our definite locations. We are having the welcome party on the beach next to the river so we will be completely surrounded by water (beach and the river). Our wedding will be on the main terrace similar to the video on the HTR website. Luis was VERY helpful! I love meeting with him because he is really just great. I also gave him a picture of the cake we wanted which he will be sending to the bakery. We were told that this is an extra charge of $300. Were you guys quoted this as well? Also- we have decided on our dinner menu! He said he will also give us a vegetarian option. I love that it's so flexible. Â Who are you guys using for hair and make-up? Has anyone heard of Katia? Â Also - if anyone wants to work with my wedding coordinator she is AMAZING! Her company is Celebracion Cancun. It is an extra charge but in my opinion definitely worth it!! Especially in my case since I will be getting married in a Church outside the resort. Her help with the flowers was really great this past weekend and also incorporating my ideas. The hotel pretty much does the basics but I feel like it's just catering. Getting an outside coordinator allows for a lot more creativity.

So glad you had such a great time! We went on a day site visit to ERM back in December and we were really impressed. We have children going though so we decided to go with Hacienda Tres Rios. For our honeymoon though we are thinking of the Excellence!! I loved it and it seemed so relaxing. The only hting that worries me is the reviews I read about the power outages and the hard beds. Did you guys experience any of this? Are the beds comfortable? We are going on our honeymoon so that would be important! Â

Zuniga Deco Cancun - Prices
Future Mrs. M replied to Ravywedding's topic in Riviera Maya and Cancun Wedding Vendors
SO the tree painted w/the candles are only $40each? I think that sounds like a good price! Do you agree? I've been quoted crazy prices for just flowers but it could be that they escalated the prices for me. Let me know if it is $40/each and if you think that is a good price or not for the tree w/the candles for centerpieces. -
My ceremony is from 2:30-3:30. The cocktail hour will start at 5 and reception at 6. We're getting married in a church so we figure that guests will get back to the hotel around 4/4:15 and may want to freshen up before cocktail hour. I think it's not a big deal to have a small gap between your ceremony and cocktail hour. Your guests will be in a beautiful location so an hour or 2 won't make them upset. Â

Hi Girls!!! Â For those of you who got married in May/June - do you girls have any insight? How did your weddings go?!! I'm dying to know. I hope you girls had the wedding of your dreams. Â Â Is anyone having their wedding or welcome party at the beach? I'm having the welcome party on the beach. What are you girls doing about lighting? Does the resort provide it or are you getting a vendor to provide lighting?
