  1. i heard back from Wardes lastnight too... ...sorry, no i don't have any experience with Yadilis, but i have heard positive things about her. maybe have a look at the Majestic reviews here. or join the Facebook "Majestic Brides!!" group...lots of reviews there.
  2. that's awesome renee! can i ask how much your rate was from toronto? most of my guests are coming from there, and i just want to compare with the rates i was given thanks!
  3. i have been dealing with Wardes, and she used to get back to me the same day - but i have sent two emails inthe last month, and neither have been replied to they must be super busy right now.
  4. wow, clgriffi7 - you look AMAZING in your dress. i would snatch it up for sure!
  5. the deposit and the time frame changes with each individual Tour Operator (Sunquest, Westjet Vacations etc). I am a travel agent, and we just got a notice that Sunquest now has a no-deposit policy now for weddings! just the bride and groom need to put down their deposit to hold the group price for up to 30 guests. any guests above 30 need to put down their own deposits. the majority of operators, however, want a deposit for each guest. usually there is a holding period of around 2-4 weeks... hope this helps! hope this helps!
  6. congrats Jade! yes, you will definitely want to book DJ Mannia prior to arriving - he is a very busy guy by the sounds of things! i don't have his contact info, but on the top right of this page, he is the second flashing block...maybe click on that and it will get you some info
  7. awesome recipe attachement...thank you for that. that definitely gives me more meal plan ideas for when i get this program started!

I quickly eliminated half of the store. Is anyone else concerned about how hot they will be? I know it's the most important day of my life and I want to look beautiful but I don't want to be sweating like crazy and uncomfortable all day. I want a dress that I can wear all day and have fun in. Any suggestions on what kind of material I should be looking for that is breathable?? I found one last week that I loved and I was so shocked because it was the complete opposite of what I thought I would want. It was plain and strapless but once I added some jewelery and a headband I was in love. I'm thinking I will have my dress picked out by Saturday night. So excited!! i am also concerned about having a really hot and heavy dess, so i am looking to stick to taffeta or chiffon and stay away from satin. most of the styles i like are taffeta anyhow, so i think i am good to go! happy shopping!
  9. natalie - you have TONS of time, don't stress
  10. i was thinking Party Packagers too, but i didn't know if they had them in Calgary. they will have them for sure. thanks for the tip on the pottery barn candles! i love the coral ones, but am not sure what i would do with them!!
