  1. gorgeous! i am so happy we are going with lanterns, i LOVE the way they look Â
  2. i think they did a fantastic job on the dress! i can see where you would want the front pleated panel to come over a little farther, but other than that, i think it is great. Â ...and i would keep the train at the length it is, i think it would take away from the dress to shorten it.
  3. i was thinking the same thing. my body may be stockpiling right now due to low caloric intake (i think i am eating between 1200-1500 calories a day)...and i think a good cheat day will get me revved up again, but i think i will wait until friday or saturday. Â thanks for your input, amy!
  4. awww, man! i was SO going to come to the get together this month, but i am going to be out of town! Â i am going back on Ontario on the 26th to go dress shopping with my mom! Â bugger! next time ladies!
  5. i dunno ladies....the scale is not moving! i have not lost a pound since the end of that first week (and am actually up two pounds!), and am now into the third week. i have not strayed an ounce from that program and am eating good healthy food. what gives??! Â it is getting frustrating. i haven't even had a cheat day yet and i am gaining ...if i don't start losing again soon, i may have to abandon this program and try to find something else. BOO!
  6. nice photos, Boo...her tables did look lovely. i am using lanterns in lieu of flowers actually, it will sit on a palm leaf and will have fuschia and orange votive holders scattered around it and maybe some pink and orange rose petals. no clue about the dancing, sorry. Â amanda - i got my hair flower from another BDW bride, so sorry, i can't help you there!
  7. Boo! I could kiss you right now! Â I am also going to be putting Candle Lanterns on my tables and was planning on ordering off Ebay....but the site you just posted as so many more options that I love...including the ones I had been eyeing. And great prices, too! I am so excited, thank you!!
  8. Eryn, definitely share pics of the dress...just crop your head out! Â Welcome to all of the newcomers...and Lindsey, you should check out what Bill Levkoff has in Bridesmaid dresses. Several may fit your description...i love this one: Â http://www.billlevkoff.com/#/9/bill-levkoff-bridesmaid-dresses/bridesmaid-dress-style-633/1080/ Â it comes in a yellow colour as well, it just can't be viewed online. i thought of this one for my own dress. Â good luck! Â
  9. Eryn - I realized as soon as I saw your name that I didn't respond to your last email. I am such a twit. So sorry about that, I wasn't ignoring you! That is so exciting that you found your dress. I agree, the customer service at Cameo and the Parisian is awesome! Can we see pics of your dress?? Â Staci - welcome!
  10. my FI is very supportive too which helps IMMENSELY. he still eats his rice/potatos/bread along side with whatever meal we are having (and i just have the meat and veg) so we still get to eat together.
  11. thanks lisa! you are doing awesome too! you are right, it isn't that bad at all. the LOW GI days are pretty much what i normally eat anyhow. i really don't feel deprived. i am looking forward to cheat day for WINE! ...and maybe pizza....we will see what i feel like!
  12. Ahh, thanks Amy - I guess I didn't read close enough to know I could have one High GI food on a Low GI day. I think I will stick to the Low list too. I think I have become a little lax on portions the last couple of days and have been having more than my "palm" of meat/fish and more than "two thumbs" of nuts. I best be careful! But lord knows, I didn't get fat by eating too much salmon and almonds. LOL!
  13. my body is the same way...it totally reacts to the things i eat - so i have learned not to get too worked up about it! it is the week to week weigh-ins that make the most difference! i have just been looking at the meal plans...and i am a little confused. the meal plans for Low GI include cereal and pasta, which i don't think we are supposed to have until the High GI days. i thought that maybe they got switched, but the High GI meals include pasta too. hmmmm. way to tease a girl - pasta is a big trigger food for me!
  14. yup, i am doing the induction. this is my first time on this program, so i thought i would do it right, right from the start! having such a strict plan for a while helps me get into the groove to stay on the program, but lordy i am looking forward to that cheat day! i was up a pound this morning after yesterday's carbs - but i am not worried. i know you aren't supposed to weigh yourself everyday, but i am a weigher. i find it easier to stay on track when i see the scale and i know how i am doing!
  15. i am had a great first week! as of this morning i was down 8.5lbs! this was my first day intoducing some carbs - i have never enjoyed fruit so much! i am hoping my weight isn't up too much tomorrow after my fruit, beans and wholewheat wrap! good luck amy!
  16. i am doing pretty well, thanks! the first couple days have been easy enough, but it takes a little getting used to i think. i ate like a bit of a pig the weekend before i started, so my starting weight was higer than usual....but i have still lost 4 pounds since tuesday which is fantastic in my books! FI and i just got back from a jog too, so i am hoping that i can stick with this plan and be down 50lbs for the wedding!
  17. here are the recipes - the other file may have gotten erased when the site upgraded. CYWT Recipes.pdf
  18. i am starting today ladies!! just under 6 months until my wedding, and about 3 weeks until i go for another round of dress shopping! anybody want to join me??
  19. well, i have heard there is only one judge that services all of punta cana for weddings and he books up VERY quickly - so this sounds about right. sorry good luck!
  20. you are a rockstar!!! i am starting on monday...so this, my friend, is a cheat weekend!! i usually eat fairly healthy, but this weekend i am gonna giv'r!! hopefully i will be as successful as you, lisa
  21. i think orange would be a nice punch of colour. your worry of the blue blending into the sky and water is the exact reason i didn't choice blue or turquoise for my bridesmaid dresses. 100 days, exciting!! yesterday was my six month mark! eeek!
  22. so it seems that none of the US shell companies want to sell to little old me in Canada...so i was hoping that some of you lovely ladies might be willing to part with your finger starfish. i am looking for about 60-75 of about 4-5" each. i am, of course, happy to pay shipping....i will just be happy if i can get any at all! thanks ladies!!
