i have fallen in love with a Priscilla of Boston dress, and i was so excited to see that Duosheng has some Priscilla's on it's page. mind isn't there, but is very simple, and i hope they could do it. for those who ordered from Duosheng, which contact did you use? there are emails for retail and wholesale - and i am not too sure which one i want! thanks in advance!

for me, my budget is the biggest stressor. i am happy to keep things pretty small, but my FI wants to invite everyone he has ever met!! ...we have a non-existantly small budget, so the fewer people there are..the better it would be for us.. he is also on Island Time and believes that there is no need to stress and it will all "just work out"....eeeek!

mayan, i am so sorry to hear about your crappy TA experience, and that you had to cancel your dream dress because of it. i am a travel agent, so i am taking care of all of my guests and our travel arrangements. that being said, the "Group Rates" i was able to get from my supplier seem way too high for me, so i may not even being going that way, and will just wait for an expedia-esque deal and book at that point! airfare is a really crazy science and it doesn't always make sense, and when i am trying to find a deal for all of my guests too, that's when things get a little dicey! i just wish that the Group Rates really were the best deals out there. whether i go the Group rate or not, I will still probably be booking everyone's trips (which earns me a bit of commission from the tour operators), but i will let them decide when they want to fly and with whom. i am just waiting for the flights for jan 2011 to come out before i decide anything 100%. so, if you ladies need a TA who understands the stress of planning a destination wedding, just let me know and i would be happy to help! i am IN calgary and i have booked DWs before! you can PM me for my contact info if you like.

I have a wedding planning business but this is nothing like a hometown party. hiya, i am a travel agent, so i might be able to help a little bit. first off, with the dominican, you don't have to be legally be there in advance of your wedding day, you could technically hop off the plane and get hitched. however, for us, it is ideal to have a couple days to get settled and meet with the WC, etc etc. i am getting married jan 2011, and just reserved my date with the WC...but i honestly do not know what day i will be arriving in PC. many of the tour operators (like sunquest or signature, etc) fly on fri/sat/sun....so i booked my wedding for mid week, based on that. because it is a little too early to know for sure what days these charters will fly, i am open to changing dates if need be (and i hope something will be available around that time). your other option, is to use a regular scheduled airline (like air canada), and check out what their schedules tend to be - if they tend to fly everyday or not, and go by that. i think you should know before May/June which charters will be flying out of T-Bay...that sounds pretty late to me. i hope this has a helped a little!

hi all! i am a Jan 2011 bride, and just secured the ceremony date a couple of days ago with one of the coordinators, Wardes. she has been great so far, emailing me back within a couple of hours. we are having a symbolic ceremony on the beach at 4pm, then will have dinner at the steakhouse and a party at the parrot bar/wet bar (depending on how many people we have).. i also reccommend the Facebook group to those who haven't visited it. it has TONS of great information, and PhotoPhil Steingard is there to answer a lot of questions.
