  1. Ok...Seriously confused? I have the pearl package and added colored sheers $150/ea ($300) and two hanging corsages $60/ea ($120). The exotic gazebo is only $220 for basically the same thing. I didn't get it because of the candy cane look? So should i change it in my contract to the exotic gazebo? Were you able to have the sheers in a color? Please let me know b/c i have to pay soon too!
  2. I love the look......i'm interested on what people think and know about clip-ins
  3. chong, wow good to know didn't even think of that. Did you use an ipod or CD? If CD how did you add the additional song......iguess we r taking the the laptop so we could burn CD if need be.
  4. It sounds as if your TA didn't block off rooms and leaving it up to everyone to get a room at whatever the listed price is at that time. My TA blocked 15 rooms. We told all of our family and friends that knew for sure they were coming to book within that 30 day window. Any rooms left in block we paid the deposits for but as the rooms booked the money went towards our rooms ( swim-up suite fam side and then honeymoon suit after wedding for rest of our stay). Our guest that booked had 90 days before travel to pay. Anyone wanting to book after 90 days the rate and availability was not guaranteed. We came out with all our rooms booked and an extra one. Just need one more. But like the others said the ones who want to be there will book early. Just check if your TA has a block set aside with a set price for all your guests. PS used www.destinatonweddings.com Great Investment!
  5. I totally understand. It took my FI a long time to get it together but i just kept leaving the sites up on the computer and eventually after he saw my bridesmaids were done he got on the ball. It all works out just don't stress. Our groomsmen are wearing yellow linen shirts and white linen pants. My FI is wearing a white linen suit with the same yellow shirt as the groomsmen. It looks really nice. FI even bought the pants. We purchased them from www.islandimporter.com We had to do custom orders cuz his groomsmen are pretty tall. great service and received items sooner than expectedQuote: Originally Posted by Chapa Are any your grooms wearing just linen shirts and pants? 6. I was thinking of doing my oot bag differently. My wedding is in Feb 2011......less than 2 months! Most of our friends coming is using this as their second honeymoon. My theme is "destination love" ( corny but cute). So i wanted to add aromatherapy bath salts, lotion, candles but i think my resort has them in the rooms so instead a room spray.........lol. Trying to add cards but Fi says that doesn't go with the love theme. What you all think. What bags did you find everyone liked.
  7. I am definitely reusing! My TA said the same thing so I plan on using the everything. I just need to see how it all comes together!!
  8. So just catching up......when are you going to new york to purchase? Any time soon?
  9. I found a web company www.weddingslinen.com and the organza sashes were $0.60/ea in yellow and light aqua ( whichi think is closest to tiffany but let me know what you think). The sashes in satin were $1.09. I sent them an email asking them to let me know which satin sash # code was closest color to tiffany because you can never tell on the computer. They did email me the organza color info for the runners. I am so willing to share since i will most likely not need them any more. Let me know...... Then i won't feel bad buying both colors (lol)....Yellow organza sashes for ceremony and then using Tiffany for the reception tables and chairs. I was thinking of putting the bridesmaid bouquets as center pieces and then maybe vases of lemons....something simple. Though these are all ideas not sure yet. Hard to visualize everything without seeing it in person! Anywhoo sharing the tiffany runners and sashes is a fabulous idea! Let me know....
  10. My colors are Tiffany blue, Canary Yellow, and Hot pink as an accent color. I'm having a hard time figuring out how to incorporate the colors without being tacky lol! Here is the run down.....Bridesmaids (2) are wearing tiffany blue chiffon dresses, Groomsmen (2) wearing Yellow linen shirts with white linen pants. The gazebo sheers at the ceremony will be yellow. I didn't think the two colors together would look right. From pics the yellow is beautiful and my favorite color. At the reception i would like to incorporate more tiffany blue but how? Programs are in the tiffany color like my passport invitations. I decided to buy my own chair sashes and table runners b/c i just couldn't justify $4/sash. I will have 40 guest. Here are the options I came up with... 1. Buy 20 yellow and 20 tiffany sashes. then have the 8 tables alternating in color....meaning 4 tables tiffany and 4 yellow. 2. Buy all yellow and find another way to incorp the tiffany......but how? without excessivly increasing price. the pink is in the flowers....ok i'm lame thats all i have.....HELP!
  11. ok...my TA just told me today that the resort is sold out and any other guests would have to stay someplace else. WOW... didn't think that would happen in february. Nervous about how everything is going to work since my DJ (DJ is FI sisters' boyfriend which works out for us) is now without a room and i don't want to pay another $500. Last minute people are irritating. But do you ladies know of nice resorts near by?
  12. Ok.... thanks. I will call my girlfriend so we can check it out. Now being new to this is it in the hair store? Should i be going thur a salon for all this? So lost, therefore, may be a bad idea but i have 2 months to work it out....Wow that is soon! Also having probs posting pics sorry.
  13. Hey ladies, This is what I am trying to acheive for my wedding. I have never had a weave before so unsure of what I should do. I love to swim so it needs to good hair lol. Any suggestions how i can make it work?
  14. I second that!!! That was the selling point along with 24 hr room service and mini bar. My family loved it when i told them that!!! Plus, I was told grey goose was there by my WC/TA.

  16. Hey ladies I'm back after a long long break and boy am I nervous about everything. I am sooo thankful to you all for posting and sharing all your beautiful pics and reviews. It really calmed me down especially with the wedding fast approaching. I have a few weeks to finalize everything so i've started second guessing everything. I must say that you all have helped tremendously. I just hope my day is as wonderful as yours. Questions....1. Does anyone know about the mosquito situation in february? 2. I didn't plan for a cocktail party should I? I figured with all the wonderful bars around lingering guests could stop by one on the way to the reception. Is this a good idea or way to laid back? if it sounds okay where should i suggest them to stop that on the way to the plaza? I want to add it to the programs. 3. How was the flow of the wedding? well thats all for now but more to come....Thanks ladies Were getting married February 19, 2011 at 5pm at Azul Sensatori

  18. Hello ladies, Noob alert! lol I have been looking into finding a nice TTD dress for the right price. I must say thank you to you all for posting pics and your experiences. I am truely getting stressed as time draws near and budget gets smaller. If, you don"t mind me asking how much are the Gianinar dresses costing? 19. I am in awe of your invitations. I keep referring to this thread for more information. They are stunning. At my sisters place trying to figure out the page layouts and dimensions now. She is more computer savvy than I am. What size is your passport again (all folded)? 3.5x5.5 or 5x7?

I wish i could do a site visit and have an idea of how things will come together. Also glad to hear Ivan was cool. I have him for our wedding also. Were getting married February 19, 2011 at Azul Sensatori! So need to lose weight too! Sleepless nights, eating on the go as I prepare for this board exam and then top it off with stress!!! I know I've gained at least 5-10. Soon it will be all over and hopefully the weight will come off as easily as it came on. Goodluck ladies!!
  23. Steve&julia, Hey I saw you on the AS ( azul sensatori) site and I guess great minds think alike. I am trying to decide on if we should switch hotels for the honeymoon or not. The choice is stay in honeymoon suit at AS for entire stay or switch after the wedding to ELD marmona or casitas. FI wants to be reassured that if we move resorts it should be better than the AS. From the sounds of things you did what we are thinking about doing. Is ELD CASITAS better, the same, or worse. Is it worth us changing? what room did you all get at AS and ELD? Have pics? Sorry so many questions! Its way past my bedtime but very interested in what you have to say about the whole experience!
