I don't ever think of going to the courthouse as a our wedding, I considered it taking care of paperwork.

Just curious to here everyone else's opinions. We legally got married 3 month before our mexican wedding and didn't tell anyone. I didn't want to go through the hassle of getting bloodwork in Mexico or getting our marriage certificate translated from Spanish to English. I'm very glad we did it this way. I told Dulce that no one knew we were doing a symbolic ceremony instead of a civil ceremony. Everything was perfect. Just an FYI: if you get married first and do a symbolice ceremony in Mexico Dulce needs a copy of your marriage certificate.

I Just used J&S and they were great! I rented to the ipod station, speakers, microphone. They introduced us and worked my playlist, it went off without a hitch well worth the $ and almost as good as a DJ.
  5. I went with ASP because it was smaller, I believe ASP has aomething like 1200 room and Moon Palace has something like 4000 rooms.

Its the side I picked because of my little niece ,but I wasn't sure if I would have picked it otherwise. I am glad i did! Loved the cove side, wouldn't have done it any other way! I showed my FI the pictures of the Dinner. They did an amazing job with presentation. How did you like the 3person band? Would you do it again? Spend the extra money on it? The mexican trio was great my guests enjoyed them, they really set the mood for the rest of the wedding, I would def hire them again. We only used them for 1 hour. I also am interested if you did the package. I recall you saying in a past pictures that you did add ons with the complementary package....Also, did anyone say anything about Del Sol being their? Who all came.I did do the complimentary package and just added on what I wanted. No problems getting Del Sol in, I just made sure to ad dthem to my guest list and o purchase their day passes. Congrats again! If you don't have time to respond I understand. I am sure your a busy lil bride =) I cant wait for your review

I though I was going to have to walk down the aisle with a high ponytail, lol. But they were so much fun and kept me calm while ASP fixed the problem. Everything worked out great!

That was a concern of mine too but it worked out fine, all my guests stood in the gazebo and watched me arrive and when I got closer they sat down before I arrived. Also Matt from Del Sol got the photo of me arriving and the videographer captured me arrived so thats what was important to me. But yes everyone said they could see me just fine.
  9. I got a mani/pedi the day before the wedding at ASP with beatriz at the salon and she did a great job!
  10. We wanted to keep everything in the same general area, ASP is very big and I did not want to have my guests walking all over the resort for the different parts of our wedding. We did everything on the cove side and by the way there was not one kid out during my wedding! I think I saw 3 kids on the cove side the whole time I was there. We had our ceremony at the Coba gazebo. I like the surroundings better then the other gazebo, it was just beautiful. I had planned to have my cocktail hour on the pandero terrace until the day before the wedding. I changed it to the maraca terrace because it was just too hot to stand outside without some shade. I didn't want my guests or the food to melt. The cove side was much more quite in general then the spa side so I was very happy to have chosen all my events on that side. And then dinner at the cove terrace. I loved all the locations!

It was fantastic!
  12. Here is a few pictures from our trip.. Picasa Web Albums - Rhiannon - Jackie & Mark... Of course once I get the Del Sol professional pictures I will post them for you ladies. Also if your not sure if you should get the DVD or not def go for it! Mine came out great, I have shown it to a ton of people who were not able to attend our wedding. So happy I got it!
  13. Just had my wedding and wanted you all to know the topic of conversation was my custom cake topper of me, my hubby and our dog. EVERYONE commented on it and said how much they loved it. I posted it in this thread a couple pages back. Lynnslittlecreatsions was the maker.
  14. I'm back my wedding was wonderful!!! Loved Del Sol, loved Fernando Fuentes (Make up/hair), loved Dulce (wedding coord.) Full review to follow in the next couple weeks.
  15. Do you think the electrical outlets at ASP are standard? I won't need to bring any outlet coverters, right? Leaving on Thursday, have sooo much to do!

I was worried the flower might catch on my dress and be annoying but I walked around the bridal salon for a few mins and wasn't bothered at all. Plus they're super comfy! Love them!

I also filled out 2 or 3 online forms they sent me regarding Wedding Day Details. I'm using Fernando Fuentes for Make Up/Hair. I emailed Del Sol and they reccommended Fernando and also Sol's sister.
  20. Does anyone have pictures of cakes from any of the Palace Resorts?
  21. Hi!!! I'm leaving next weeke for my wedding in Aventura Spa Palace. Yayyyy! I'm using Del Sol, (Matt) for my photographer, very excited about this their work looks amazing. I booked them back in December. As for my invitations, I'm having a small group, 15 people I sent my invitations back in October. I have done all my planning with Dulce via email.
