My mom actually asked me a wedding question today, and I felt bad that I had to say that I would have an answer in a week or 2 because our WC does not return phone calls or emails....

I did a search of Amber's name and came up with stacks of complaints about her response time... guess we are all in it together. (she is personable when contactable...)

I am reading through the Beaches blog and NEED more posts!! I want to see all of the uploads, at this rate Ill be married and trying to post to see the photos!

La Fortuna is about 2-3 hours from Liberia Airport (where I would imagine you would fly into)... the best resort in La Fortuna is Tabacon, they have great hot springs, hikes and ziplines. Its about 3 hrs drive from La Fortuna to Flamingo. There are a lot of beautiful resorts by the beach. I think your trip sounds fun, the drive is safe and pretty (though smaller roads). The upside it that when leaving CR, you would be relatively close to the Liberia airport.... Pura Vida Alison

Hi February 2010 Brides... Congrats on getting married! We are getting married Feb 6, 2010... I am officially obsessed. I eat drink and sleep wedding and I had no idea thats how it would be... and enjoying the hell out of it too I must say. I love to plan, vacation and spend money! We have 60 guests confirmed (50 adults, 10 kids) at Beaches Negril. Both of our families and a bunch of friends are coming. My dress arrives for alterations on December 28th. No shoes yet. The bridesmaids have all ordered their dresses. My FI and I each have 4 nieces and nephews and they are going to walk down the aisle in front of me. We have ordered their dresses and shirts from Hawaii. My FI needs clothing (how long of a turn around time on his clothing??- not sure if I should be worried about that) I am working on the guest bags now. I got canvas bags from Promotional tote bags custom sizes and styles from cheap totes now with t-shirts and screen printing for a dollar a piece! Refurbished cameras for like 2.50 a piece. Sunscreen for a buck a piece. Emergen-C for hangovers. Engraved fans from off of theknot.com for cheap. I am going to ask the best man and matron of honor to keep a first aid kit for emergencies. Wanting to finalize the reception arrangements but the WC is not being very cooperative. So what are you guys doing for bachelorette parties? Are you having one at home or at the resort? Are your reception details finalized? Are all of your guests booked? (the smileys are so cute)

Re flowers, I was told we can do our own? I am not 100% sure if its because our wedding is during the transition between PB and MS, but I am rolling with it, they quoted me $75-150p centerpiece, $30p table linens. Also getting 10rooms booked for 4 nights helps in the costs. (15$pp) The per person amount is pretty consistent per service. The nice thing is the location is free. We decided to fly our photographer in. I found him through the Wedding Photojournalists Assn. Association of Wedding Photojournalists - WEDDING PHOTOJOURNALISM Beaches allows you to bring a photog is s/he is a guest (staying at least 2 nights). He is paying airfare and we pay his room. Not cheap but the one consistent I get from brides is the importance of photog. I love his stuff (Jeremy Igo out of Charlotte) Alison
