bra bags...cute gift to give to BM's
RonNMel replied to mrs.timpone's topic in Buy / Sell / Trade Archives
They are so cute! Would love to buy them for my bridesmaid, but the shipping to Canada is ridiculous! It more than doubles the price!!! -
Overwhelmed and need some help
RonNMel replied to snow88's topic in Wedding Etiquette, Traditions, to dos
There is only a 2 months difference between November and January. Since both dates are more than half a year away, I doubt the extra two months would make much a difference in saving money. Even more so if the prices are much better in November. Also, January comes right after the Holidays, so any extra money they would have saved might end up being spent on Holiday stuff anyway. If the difference is not that significant, than I would choose the date based on another criteria. -
SHE is doing our invitations for free on her own time. I know I've been a tad pushy about getting them ASAP. I didn't really mean hate me, I was just kidding/exagerating. Though she probably is slightly annoyed by now. LOL It's all good though, she has done an amazing job so far and we will for sure give her a gift to show our appreciation. :-)

I'd love to hear back from some of the people who got married this winter. :-)

Carribean Lover, would love to hear about your bachelorette party. :-) How was it? What did you do? Where did you go? Ewok, I prefer Mariés to Unis. How about: - Nouveaux Mariés, le 7 avril 2010, Négril, Jamaïque - Nouvellement Mariés, le 7 avril 2010, Négril, Jamaïque Yeah, Saying "sur la plage" might be too much if you have a picture of the beach. As for my news, our invitations are almost done! The letter part (which looks more like a brochure now) is done and we are just waiting on the Boarding Pass (sort of a STD). So excited! And kind of impatient... His cousin must hate me by now! (J/K) LOL

The last few reviews today have been so bad. I know, I know, I should just ban Trip Advisor from my computer, but it's hard! Breathe, breathe, you have chosen a gorgeous resort and everything will be ok.

I actually like your runner up even better for a destination wedding (ok, maybe the background is influencing me). It just looks like it feels very light.

I'm very thin and have been all my life. Then suddenly 4 years ago I gained 15 pounds in one year. For my size, that's big. One year later I lost it all again due to stress. Lately I've been noticing that my jeans are getting a little snug in the thighs area. That's where I noticed it first last time, so now I'm worrying that I'm gonna gain weight again and that my dress won't fit! I *am* much more happy this year with my FI than before I met him, and he looooves to eat, so that could explain this new weight gain... as long as I don't gain more than 5 pounds I should be ok... And you're so nice, saying you'll come back to cheer me up. I guess the grass is always greener on the other side: you wish you had more time to prepare, I think I have wayyy too much time. LOL
-
Thanks. I don't know when my fitting will be, but I'm guessing it won't be anytime soon. I've heard it takes a very long time to receive a Maggie dress. But even when they receive it, I don,t think I'll have it altered right away. My wedding is in over a year, so I prefer to get it altered closer to the date. My weight barely ever fluctuates, but I don't want to take the chance... Can't wait to see the pictures Ewok!! I should probably take the # of that seamstress as well as of the photograph you were talking to me about Carribeanlover. By the time I need both, you girls might not be on the forum as often anymore. Your weddings are coming up so fast!!! I'm jealous.

Travel Mugs - Printing Options
RonNMel replied to Crystalballl's topic in Wedding Registry, Wedding Gift Bags, and OOT bags
It is insulated travel mugs, or just big plastic cups with a handle? -

I think I may throughout the pink...I was trying so hard to keep it there. You're welcome!! If you really want to keep the Punta Cana (and I would, we go through all the trouble of getting married down south, we should celebrate it. ), maybe you could write it just below the date? Don't forget to show us the final product!!

Ring Appraisal??
RonNMel replied to courtney_b00's topic in Destination Wedding Dresses, Wedding Attire & rings
Hope you can get this thing sorted out!! How long does it take to get a rind appraised? Do they have to keep it for a little while? I'd be nervous about leaving my ring with a stranger for a night!! -
I like the first one the most. I love how the feather is so light and flowy. The colors go very well together. The only thing, the pink at the bottom kinda looks out of place. I only noticed that part much later, as it doesn't seem to be *part* of the monogram. Some suggestions could be: - A slightly darker pink - To include the same kind of pink somewhere else in the monogram, maybe in the center of the feather? Or add them to the feathery lines going outwards (sorry, hard to describe that part) - Instead of writing it all on one line, writing "Punta Cana" over "Dominican Republic" - Make the Punta Cana & DR words closer to the rest Hope that helps!

I say skip the STD and just send the formal invitation really early. yes, some people might put it aside and forget about it, but most people who want to be there will appreciate having more time to book their trip. Then they might put the actual invitation aside, but they will have a full trip book, they wouldn't forget that! And you can always call or email the others as a gently reminder to give a response when it's been a few months. What a lot of us are doing is sending/giving a little something (like a welcome letter, or "get ready for..." booklet) much closer to the wedding date to get everyone excited about the vacation again.

Wow! The votes for all the options are all so close together, none really stand out as really good or really bad. :-) Thanks for all the input everyone!! It confirmed what I thought, they all look so great, I couldn't go wrong. Depending on the lighting and my mood, I prefer different ones. But ultimately, I had to make a decision, so here it is: In last place, option C. When I look at it alone, I really love the lighter blue, but when put next to other colorful items, it sorta loses its *pop*. Tied for second place, options A & B. Like Ablj mentioned, I love how it reminds me of the sand & ocean. FI prefers the white lettering, but I like both. Our final choice is option D. I'm really a bright color kind of girl, and this is just so vibrant! We have called it "sunset". Thanks again!!
-
Hahaha That's just awesome!!
-
What resorts are on your list right now? What are your main *must-have* criterias? Maybe we can help narrow it down. :-)
-
FI's cousin just finished out monogram and she did an AMAZING job!!! The only problem is, she gave us such great choices that it was very hard to decide which color scheme to go with!!! I'm having second thoughts now... I'm not saying right away which one I chose, I want to hear your opinions first. She will use both the stamp & the circle shape for different purposes. Our colors are turquoise/blue, orange and pink. Option A Option B Option C Option D
