  1. Took 5 minutes just to load this feedback page... and that was after it timed out the first time. I hope this will be fixed soon because I'm finding that I don't want to post or even visit very much as a result of the problems with double posts, time outs, or just taking too long to simply get logged onto BDW.
  2. Here's the spa price list. Its different than the first one I got... originally it was 750 & 850 pesos. Now its just 75 & 85 USD. Let us know when you're free and we'll meet up! TRIPTICO SPA para novias.pdf

I'll post it when I get home tonight. they have Bride Hairstyling and "Gala Hairstyling" (whatever that means?) Yes! Raye... Kelly is letting us use her laminator for lugagge tags after you're done with it so as soon as you finish, let me know and we'll meet up again!
  4. I was just wondering this! I think my girls would like their hair done... I was thinking of paying for it but based on the price list that I got from Eugenia just for styling, I may be changing my mind. 750 pesos to style... seems a little much to me?

So.. if you didn't pick the pier, then that would be your location. She didn't send you the same stuff? We're getting married on the 26th there... we should meet up at some point since we'll be there the same time!!!
  7. There's actually 2 bars with Tulum names. There's the Tulum lobby bar AT the Tulum hotel and then for some reason, they have a bar at the Akumal hotel that's called the Tulum bar! Confused the heck out of us why they'd call it that!
  8. Good Luck Suzie!! Can't wait for pics! There's free wifi in all the lobbies!
  9. -No veil -No garter/bouquet toss -No DJ at reception, we're using an iPod -No rehearsal -Invitations not sent out, people still booked anyway -No flower girl/ring bearer -No assigned seats at the reception. -No engagement party -Not seeing each other before the ceremony (we're getting legal here at home and will be doing our pics in the afternoon and then parting before the ceremony on the beach) -No borrowed, blue, old...
  10. Most of the airlines are accommodating but if all else, you can lay the dress along the top of the luggage in the overhead bins. But if you have the $$ to buy an extra seat, by all means do so!
  11. Hey ladies! not sure that I ever posted in here but I'm getting married April 26 at the Gran Bahia Principe on the Akumal beach! We've got mostly everything done other than choosing the flowers and deciding on our OOT gifts. I've ordered my dress from a seller on Ebay and FI is going traditional beach wedding attire for men.
  12. Hey ladies that have been married here... I need some opinions. We're really trying to decide on the cake flavour. I've read that the 3 milk cake is good but we're torn on that and just plain vanilla. I'd love some reviews on the cake if you have had it?? Thanks!!

  14. You need to host the picture somewhere... I use photobucket. You upload the picture there and then copy the tag with the link her and voila!

Does anyone know exactly were that ceremony in the video was. Is there a particular beach area that you have to ask for to get it there? It's called "the hammocks" on the Akumal beach side. It's called this because the rest of the time there's no weddings there, they have hammocks hanging from this structure Here's a pic of the location we got from Eugenia who is the WC for the Akumal

That's our wedding location exactly! We're doing the hammocks too. It was kind of surreal seeing that video and realizing that it will be us in a few short months! I cried!!

Can anyone shed light on any issues (do they ensure its a 5 year renewal or anything like that). I am just a bit confused about how this occurs. I see the packages on the website, I just do not find them really all that informative. Just looking for some suggestions! Thanks!! My understanding is that anything that's "symbolic" is basically a vow renewal of sorts. Its still a wedding like any other but there is no signing at the end and ALOT less paperwork. That's what we're doing. We're getting legal here at home and doing a Mayan Blessing down there.

  20. So true! The seller I was going to use suddenly had nothing in their ebay store and when I questioned them about it, they said that they had no money in their ebay account to list anything. eep, that makes me wayyyy too nervous! I already got an email back from gianinarbridal and they said the same dress I was quoted for $350 from the other seller was $120! I'd have to pay shipping of $59 but its still way cheaper than the other seller!
  21. After the comments about Gianinarbridal, I've also contacted them for a quote. The seller that I contacted previously wants to complete the transaction outside ebay and I'm not really comfortable doing that. Paypal might protect me but I still want the added protection of ebay.
