  1. I know how you feel too. My "friends" are turning out to be acquaintances, but people that were just acquaintances are turning out to be friends. Â Â
  2. Last night was P90X Core Synergistics and it was harder than usually. At least I got through it and finished it. Â Today is my 30 minute lunchtime Zumba class and then either yard work tonight if it isn't 96 degress again or P90X Cardio.
  3. to being organized : I try to
  4. Are you having an ipod or DJ? We are using both. We are having the ipod of the ceremony and the cocktail hour and then having a DJ for the reception. I have the music for the ceremony done since it is only one song while the guests get seated, then the bridal march, and we will walk back down the aisle with the traditional music. Cocktail hour is all Frank Sinatra, Nat King Cole, Barry White music and I almost have enough for an hour. The reception I am only giving the DJ a sample list of songs for dinner and dancing. I found the Music & Entertainment section of this site to be so helpful. Â All I have to do now if download it all onto my ipod. Â Our resort is doing that too. They call it a symbolic ceremony certificate or something like that. I love that I didn't have to ask for them to do something like that since we aren't telling anyone about the legal ceremony we are doing before we leave. Â
  5. Grrrr.... I wanted to work out last but because of FI I wasn't able to. By the time I had a chance it was already past 8pm and I go to bed at 10pm. And tonight we will need to try again to do yard work, so no work out tonight either. Â I never thought I would be so moody because I can't work out.
  6. My FI and I are getting legally married before and no one is invited. I am already worried it will take away from our wedding in Aruba and if I had my parents there it would make that feeling worse. Any time someone tells me they want to come to the wedding I say "Great! See you in Aruba!" And when they say no, the one at home I tell them there isn't one, we are just taking care of some paper work. I honestly don't care if it bothers some people. I am not going to have a bunch of people at the legal ceremony at home just to please them when it makes me feel horrible on my wedding day in Aruba. Sorry if that came out Bridezilla-ish.
  7. I did 90 minutes walking on the treadmill yesterday (I was watching a movie). Â Today will either be yard work or P90x.
  8. I just had my BD photos done last Sunday and I had Kamila Harris do it. She has a studio in Germantown but I believe she will travel to another location in the area. She was AMAZING! And she had a makeup artist do my hair and makeup and it looked so good! I would it over and over again it I could! Â Here is her website. http://www.kamilaharrisboudoir.com/ Â
  9. Yesterday was a 30 minute kettleball class. Tonight I want to do a P90x dvd, but I might end up doing yard work.
  10. That it is Friday and City Hall had a wedding appointment open up in September (they were all booked up) and I was able to take it! I was stressing about not getting legally married before our wedding in Aruba and I am so happy I got the date! I literally ran over there this morning after I called since they can give the appointment to any one that walks in and can’t give it to me over the phone (Thank god I work across the street).
  11. Concert : Drinking and dancing
  12. I just had my BD shoot last Sunday. I got there at 10am, they did my hair and makeup, and from 11am to 12:45pm we did the pictures and I changed 4 times. I think you should schedule 2 hours (definitely not an hour), but I think it depends on how many outfits you will have. We took a ton of pictures in the 2 hours and she even stopped to show me them as we were going along. I think no matter what you will be nervous in the beginning, but after about 30 minutes I really started to relax and have fun.
  13. What diet are you following? Are you working out? To go from one size to another is about 10 lbs or so and since your wedding is in November you have time to lose the weight. If you aren't writing your food down I would definitely start doing that. You also need to find a way to relax and reduce your stress in another way other than eating. I also eat when I am stressed so I know how frustrating it is. I found that working out actually helps me calm down (it is a proven stress reliever). I also love to do yoga and/or read a good book to calm me down. I actually bought the right size in my dress and then gained weight so it doesn't fit. I have about 5 more pounds to go. It is really upsetting but if you put the work in and really try you will lose the weight.
  14. Thursday August 26 at 1:55pm – Eating Saladworks at my desk at work, trying to cool down from my kettleball workout class I did during lunch, and making my computer look like I am working but surfing BDW.
  15. say yes to the dress : Bridezillas
  16. Lol! I feel bad for the guy who married her. I know that my FI will put me in my place if I act like a bridezilla. I watch Bridezillas and I don't understand how some of these woman are getting married!
  17. Hey everyone! I just started P90x for the second time on Monday. I did it a year ago but only did 60 days. I was reading on here that some of your FI’s are doing it with you and I am jealous! I could use the extra motivation. So I only have 54 days till I leave for our wedding so I won’t be able to finish the full 90 days but I am going to try my best. I am kind of doing the lean program. I am still doing 3 workout lunch time cardio classes during the week and substituting the cardio days for the treadmill. I love the cardio dvds, but it has taken years of walking and jogging to get to where I am now and if I stop it will go away. So tonight is Shoulders & Arms, and Abs.  Goal: Lose 10lbs in 60 days for wedding and get toned arms for strapless dress Start date: 8/23/10 Plan: Lean with modifications. And I following Weight Watchers.
  18. Last night was 50 minutes on the treadmill for a light jog. Â Today is a 30 minute Zumba class at lunch and then the P90x Shoulders & Arms and Abs dvds.

  20. really weird woman sits next to me at work : Nope. I have guys in the cubicles around me
  21. I know I have seen people use vendors/stores on Ebay. Â If I think of anymore I will let you know.
  22. Thanks so much Ann! I will PM Tammy! Â I know that I have two Etsy vendors (so far) that have been great and I would love to give them props and tell other brides about my great experiences with them.
  23. I am not sure if I should say congrats or not. You might just be worrying about being pregnant too much and it is freaking you out. I have done that a few times and thought I was pregnant but I wasn’t. I think your plan on going off the pill after the wedding and using a back up method is a good idea. I heard that it can take from a month to a year for your body to adjust to being off the pill and it all depends on how long you have been on it. It will be about 12 years for me so that worries me. I am scared that I will be one that needs a year for my body to adjust and in that time the longer I am not pregnant the more I will stress about it.
  24. I am not sure where to post this, but this is my best guess. For the Wedding Vendors, I wanted to know how we go about adding a vendor? Can any member add a vendor or does a moderator need to do it? I wanted to add my BD photographer and my resort. Â Also, this might not be possible since there could possibly be a ton of entries, but what about Etsy vendors? We could have just a section on the Etsy vendors members used. When looking for someone to do something for you on Etsy it might be helpful to see who past brides use and liked. Just a thought.
