First you need a new doctor. A doctor shouldn't ignore your concerns about health, that's why we go to them. And if you don't know already you need to find out why your legs swell. Sparkpeople is a great website (and free)! Tracking your food will be your best way to find out more about your eating habits so you can find out what you need to change/work on.

Hi everyone! It's been a week and I thought I would see how everyone is doing on the program. I know I had a great week until Friday night and I was lazy with dinner and cooked a Chicken helper that was 8 points (I only get 21pts and I had no WP or AP left). Then Saturday I ate well just ate a ton. Sunday I ate well, but then I made cupcakes. BUT I made the cupcakes with cake mix and diet soda and the icing was reduced sugar. One cupcake still came to 5pts and I had 2. Then I had a Skinny Cow ice cream and I WW Smart One dessert. Grrrr… I am mad at myself. If I just stayed on program this weekend my weight would have gone down. I have less than a month to my BD photo session and I wanted to be down 15lbs by then. So how is everyone else doing?

Hmmm... I guess I will have to do the hair and makeup thing, but use a different salon that I usually go to. The salon I use is down the street from our house and it's closed on Sundays and he knows it. How long does a BD session take? 2 to 3 hrs?

I say Friday. That is when our wedding is and a lot of people are either staying from Wednesday to Monday or Thursday to Sunday. I think it is better to be able to spend some time at the location after the wedding to relax.

Well right below all the wording on our invites we put “Reception immediately to follow” so people knew we were having a reception. What if you put “Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres to follow” or something like that? For the AHR wording, I don’t know. We didn’t put anything about it in our invitations and we are only sending out invitations for a dinner (not a full blown reception) with regular party invitations. We added a card in the invites with our TA, resort, and booking information for our guests. If you are doing something like that you can put on there that you are having an AHR.

I just don’t want to be fighting with my veil during the ceremony.

Oh my, I started reading Tammy’s blog and it seems like there is so much to know! My FI and I bought a house this past March and it is covered with flowers, bushes, trees, and plants of all kinds. It was an older couple that lived there before us and they loved to garden. Now I have some beautiful flowers blooming but I don’t know the first thing about gardening! I always wanted to grow my own produce and have a garden but I don’t know the first thing about it. So how did you learn how to garden or are you just good at it? I would do smaller photos. We are going to put wallet sized pictures in the thank you cards.

Ok, so my BD session in a month away and I am starting to try and think about what I am going to tell my FI I am doing that day and I can’t think of anything. What did you tell your FI that your were doing that day? At some point I have to tell him I got my hair done since I will come home all done up, but what else should I say? I don’t really want to use a friend of family member as an alibi since I don’t want anyone to know about it. And it’s on a Sunday so I can’t say I have a doctor’s appointment.

wendyjd - what about stickers? You could order personalized stickers and put them on the cups or maybe Staples has some type of sticker paper you can print on and do yourself. Welcome amandamarieb!

Ha! That is so funny we ordered the same one! Oh, $26 for shipping is alot, but it really is a good frame. I ordered one from linen n things but it opens on the side and I don't think it will work for the ceremony. I was thrilled when I found a frame that was actually made for a sand ceremony.

I wish I could help! The only thing that calmed me down was thinking of the money and expenses and knowing that I need to fit into a wedding dress but I know that once we are married I will be going nuts with baby fever!!! Good luck!

I am doing a rose ceremony, but to honor the mother's. The officiant will hand my FI and I a rose during the ceremony and say a little something, then we are going to give the roses to our moms. We are going to do something like this: Officiant: "We open this ceremony with a symbolic gift of beauty and gratitude to the women who gave the bride and groom life---their mothers." (I then give the roses to the bride and groom who then present them to their mothers with a hug and kiss. Sometimes, as they embrace I have heard a bride or groom whisper in their mother's ear , "I love you, Mom.") I’m sorry you are having trouble getting in touch with you WC. Maybe they are just busy this time of year. I know they prioritize the emails by when the wedding date is. I emailed my WC a month ago and even though he hasn’t answered any of my questions, he has emailed me a few times already apologizing that he hasn’t been able to respond and will soon. Welcome hopelesslyblissful! That’s great you got your photographer so cheap! I think pictures are so so so important in a wedding. I was looking into hiring a photographer, but the pictures that my WC sent me from the 4 photographers from the resort, I decided to go with one of them since the pictures were really good.

What about the clip on extensions if you really want longer hair? They have some really nice ones out there and you won't have to worry about ruining them since you can take them out. You still have a little over 4 months so you can try and grow your hair and use the extensions. I don’t know how short your hair is, but I’m sure there are some cute hair styles for brides with short hair. I would look for those hairstyle magazines for some inspiration.
