February 2010 brides
vdaybride replied to shellk's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
Krista I completely understand.. I also decided to let my guests handle their own travel arrangements.. the average savings for my group was $700 by doing their own arrangements. I think the guests will be fine. When you use an agent you could still end up getting scattered around the resort. Also, having a little separation from your guests could be a good thing when you look at the grand scheme of things, it is you wedding time and also precious bonding time with your honey.. who wants drunk uncle ralph knocking on the door playing games at 3 in the am? lol I referred my guest to the site www.bookit.com. THey had some of the best packages when compared to the popular travel sites. -

I am going with the free bouquet and bout for me and hubby which I was able to choose 24 black magic roses for my bouquet. I need roses on Vday!!! he always gives me 2 dozen red roses and my wedding day should not be any different . I ordered 2 BM bouquets, corsages for the moms, bouts for the Groomsmen for $50. THe BM bouquets are $30 and $45 at my resort and though my girls are special to me I would rather pay $15 for real touch bouquets (same size as the $30 bouquets from resort) for them. They can hold on to them after the ceremony or I can take them afterwards and sell them lol. I can't take any real flowers back on the plane as it is not allowed from Mexico.. I don't see the reason to waste the money on real flowers that you will have to throw away before you leave. Unless you are brave enough to attempt to smuggle them back home. I have heard of brides doing this, but I haven't heard nice things about Mexican jails so I won't risk it...hahaha -

What a great honest review. I also chose a free package and decided to add on my extras. In the end you really do save a lot of money by customizing it to your needs. Congrats on a wonderful wedding! and on being a Mrs. -

I ordered my real touch bouquet from a seller on etsy, her prices are great! Custom wedding flowers bridal bouquets and more by jdleggans I informed her that I may refer some brides from this forum, just mention that you are a February bride from this forum and she will "rush" the order Susie all I can say is WOW! that girl has some nads on her, the stepdaughter must have been talking trash about you to her for her to feel that she could speak to you that way. Congrats to you for not itch slapping her because honestly, they both deserved it. She better be lucky she wasn't at my house because she would have been hitch hiking home that night! Shells, I am so happy that it was just the car that was hurt and not you or your FI Teneil, I completely understand how you feel!! I feel like I have accomplished so much, but there is still lots to do!! How in the world do women plan these things without forums like this one!?!?! I feel truly blessed that you ladies are here for me and each other, I get all misty eyed thinking about how difficult this important time in my life would be if I didn't have all the love and far away support that feels like its right next to me! Thanks ladies! February brides ROCK!! -

I am sorry that you are dealing with this so close to your big day, but make sure that she knows that you are there for her and keep her in your prayers or positive thought place. Go off and have a wonderful wedding. -

Hi Shells, sorry u are not feeling well. I hope you are better now. I guess there is a body of water between us because when I tried to get driving directions from my resort to yours.. it wasn't an option lol. I would love to meet for drinks and hugs . Susie- I hope your foot is better, I don't want you hobbling down the aisle!! The countdown is real now!! I was able to get a lot of time consuming last minute things done which is a great feeling. I am back to work on Monday ;/ I need one more week off to be completely done with wedding planning. I am waiting on emails I sent out looking for a cigar roller, transportation companies, sunset cruises for February 15th, and finalizing flower selections. I decided to have fake bouquets made for the ladies and bouts for the gentlemen and wrist coursages for the moms. I hope they come out good! Keeping my fingers crossed. The entire order was less than $50 including shipping..I will post pics when I get the order. -

I seriously love you girls! I hope you have the best NYE ever.. we are so close to our big days! Shells-I am going to look into how far we will be from each other. I am soooo game for a meetup to shop. -
I have a minor confession..me and my honey got married 2 weeks ago, but I can't bring myself to tell my parents. I don't want to "spoil" my wedding day for them.

I wouldn't add an expense for a hotel room unless there is a specific hotel that is special to you and your FI
