February 2010 brides

Good luck with the prego attempts, but I will NOT be on that bandwagon haha.. we have a 5 1/2 year old munchkin together and while she is such a joy and as smart as a whip, I need at least 1 or 2 years being a Mrs. before I go through that again . I will send good preggo vibes with this message to you beauties!! whoooooooosh lol -

That does not include makeup or hair or an album BUT she has her own studio so you do not have to rent a hotel and she has some accessories already and you do not have to all come in on the same date to get the discount. I am not advocating anyone...but I feel bad when I see a photographer's rates quoted in a vaccum. Also, who knows what deals have been cut with others and it really is not fair to put someone....the photographer or the bride... out there like this...this is why I asked for private messages. Maybe I am sensitive because I too have my own business (not wedding related) and if my clients were to begin to compare prices over the internet..forget it!! Each situation is different and we have no idea of knowing each circumstance and package. JMHO and not meant to insult anyone at all. Bottom line...myself, Saphire and others are loooking for a boudoir package that is reasonable. I COMPLETELY agree!! I have a private practice and LAWD (yes I said that lol) knows that I don't want all of NYC sending messages all over the city about rates they were quoted. I regret even adding her prices to the forum. In the past I have PM'd that response, and I should have done that in this case also. Let me state I DO NOT RECEIVE ANY KICKBACKS FROM RECOMMENDING JENNIFER OR ANY OTHER VENDOR I HAVE CHOSEN TO WORK WITH. At the end of the day, I want people to refer me and my business if I do a good job and that is exactly what I CHOSE to do with my photographer. I was more than pleased with the service and the end result so I was sharing the love. Money of course is an issue in this economic climate, but I am not going to let the cost of something dictate what I will and won't do, but that is just me. In any rate, as I stated before, good luck with the search.

Resorts to Avoid

All of the El Dorado ($500 and 3 night stay of vendor) 2. Azul resorts ($500 and 3 night stay of vendor) 3. The Royal PDC (not sure how much, they just hopped on this bandwagon) 4. Barcelo Maya ($500 and 3 night stay of vendor) 5. Palace Resorts - do not allow outside vendors I think the other girls are right though, it is a personal thing what will be prioritized. Some common things I hear as priorities are: Price in general Price for guests Geographic location - travel effort for guests or simply the vibe of the area, think Cancun v/Tulum...totally different. Adults-only or family-friendly Level of privacy for ceremony/reception How many weddings are performed p/day "High Heel" friendly &/or appearance of gazebo % of guests that MUST stay at the resort Quality of the beach (seaweed heavy, rocky or the other end...Maroma-style) Activities in the area That's all I can think of off the top of my head. Good luck hunting for a location! I'm right there with ya what a helpful, thoughtful reply!!! I am not even getting married there and I feel like that was helpful info . -

vdaybride replied to 1elephant's topic in Destination Wedding Planning Journal
Everything looks great, congrats on being a Mrs.!!! -
Use the search function and type in bag tag templates (or a similar search term) and see what results you get. The threads with the red paperclips would be good ones to search. Good luck

Is it safe to rent a car and drive in Cabo??
vdaybride replied to Patti's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
thank you for this helpful information!!! -
I can definitely relate!! I too always wanted a DW and when I started planning surprisingly no one made any negative comments on my side of the family (I have a VERY opinionated family) but on my FI side, the comments were flying. My FI really didn't care that some of them were upset because at the end of the day WE are the most important people that plan on attending the wedding. If noone but us showed up, we would absolutely be fine with that!! Try not to let the negative nellys get to you. This is your special time try to enjoy it and don't let the naysayers spoil allof the joyous planning days ahead of you.

Also, I needed some larger filler items for my bags and found these frisbees...I think they'll be fun for the beach in between activities! Tricia!! Oh my goodness, I LOVE it!! it looks great. Nice choice, I know it was soooo worth the wait after seeing how nice it looks. -

That working for an airline thing comes in handy. ***If there is anyone else in a Jetblue Destination city (Orlando-- Ali?) we could probably get you there really reasonable too. I swear to you we are dancing out of our ceremony to "Nothings going to stop us now" the 80's song from the Mannequin, because we love the 80's music. The country song "will you marry me" for the sand ceremony. walking down the aisle to the italian song "Con Te Petiero" and no idea for the kiss song yet. Any ideas.... almost anything goes here.. its so random!! lol Also just to inform you- we are going to Krista's wedding. Notice I said Inform not ask. lol I have the back tattoo and one near my bikini line... somewhere along the way of life I forgot that I am going to have a kid and that shamrock tattoo on my bikini line is going to look like Slimer from ghostbusters after that! lol I still have the belly ring and working out an hour a day is finally starting to make it look ok again. Lol-- do some extra box lifts with the tree when you pack it to.... As for my xmas decorations... they were put away on Dec 31st. I have this thing about having last years things out to start the new year- it has to be a all worrying about the new year ahead not something from 2009. i'm weird. Inform away honey!!! count me all the way IN!! I am planning to work on the music this week. There are a few Michael Jackson slow songs that make me weak in the knees. I wouldn't mind incorporating one of his songs into the ceremony somehow.
