February 2010 brides
vdaybride replied to shellk's topic in Destination Wedding in Riviera Maya, Cancun & surrounding areas
This site was going bonkers, I was trying to post last night..but no dice! Well girls, I am super pumped and ready to "marry" my honey..AGAIN . We still have not finalized the menu and his best man/men are not confirmed. I didn't shop for dresses to wear around the resort, but I have a fancy red dress that I will wear for the "informal" rehearsal dinner. I am excited and exhausted at the same time. I still don't have my make up or hair planned out and this has been a thorn in my side!! Happy birthday Krista!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Susie miss you girl! I got my sand ceremony vase in the mail today and all I can say is "what the hell was I thinking?" it is so tiny. I must not have read the description well -

I guess you have to weigh the pros and the cons of both types of metal.. Platinum shine/buff every three years or re dip (possibly for a fee) every 3-4 months due to a yellow tint. I am sure even yellow or dull..they are beauties!! I found a GREAT cleaning product that gets your ring looking like new all shiny and sparlky within a matter of minutes!!! You may have heard of it is called razzle dazzle their website is Liquid Jewelry Cleaner Jewelry Polish | Razzle Dazzle Professional Cleaner they also a "magic cloth" that you can get, this rag is like an instant buffer for your rings.. it works Gooooood. For us platinum girls, you can have your ring shining all year round. It is safe on all metals. I LOVE my cloth and it lasts FOREVER...the dirtier it gets the better if buffs. I am serious.. Happy cleaning girlies!!

I am sooo confused as to what to do with this hair of mine.. I just got a relaxer and I feel that my hair was over processed and I only have a few weeks before the wedding and I feel like it is shedding like crazy. Yes all the drama of our hair does indeed make me want to slap somebody. My stylist is going to to some clip in pieces for me for free and is invited to the wedding, but she does not have her passport in hand and I walk down the aisle in 18 days!! Soooooo aggravating!

I don't think you are bad. It's your day!! The only thing I can agree with the family on is the invites. Some older people aren't internet savvy and won't feel included by receiving the email invite. With that being said, I feel like I WASTED a lot of money going the traditional invite mailing route. Some people didn't even bother to send back PRESTAMPED reply card..what a waste! Glad you didn't even bother girl!! good for you! Don't let them pressure you into doing something you are not comfortable doing!

I hope the dress comes in and it is ALL that you imagined. In the mean time, go hit those sales up!! You could find "the one" it may be there just waiting on you! Good luck!!

I originally wanted platinum, but even that has to be dipped regularly! my ring is platinum and I have had it for 3 years and I never had to have it "dipped' in anything, I think your jeweler wanted to close the deal so he just told you that. I have never heard of platinum having to be dipped. He might have meant it needs to be buffed because over time it can look dull and loose its shine. I had mind buffed after 3 years and its all nice and shiny again. Platinum is chosen often because of its durability. Caroline24 at least the store is willing to do it for you for free. Can you imagine having to pay each time you had to have it dipped!?!

Honeymoon Phase...what honeymoon phase?
vdaybride replied to Karen Aucoin's topic in Just venting or funnies
Marak! you are too funny. Karen, first let me say, I am so sorry that you seem so unhappy so early into your marriage. I must get to the point..if he was this way before you got married, what made you think that signing a piece of paper would change him.. Men!! Maybe you need to have a sit down with him and voice your concerns. It seems as far as he is concerned, there is no problem. He probably feels that "I have been doing this all along and she hasn't said anything, let me continue and see what else I can get away with. Maybe try couples therapy or at least a few good relationship books. I wish you all the best!! Sending a big hug with this message -
