  1. I have been on the daytime excursion to Cayo Blanco, but has anyone heard about having the actual wedding on the catamaran and reception on Cayo Blanco? This sounds very romantic and something I might be interested in, has anyone heard about this? What would the cost be like? It doesn't sound like something that you would book directly with the hotel, if it is possible does anyone have contact information for this?
  2. Ken, I found this website which is exactly what I was looking for. I do believe that this vendor is actually on this site because I've seen postings from them from time to time. The Guayaberas do come in yellow as well as white. Guayabera Shirts: Beach Wedding Shirts | Guayaberas, Linen Pants, Boys Linen Shirts, Mexican Wedding Shirts.
  3. I'm not sure if anyone remembers the movie "Dance With Me" with Vanessa Williams and Chayanne, but the song from the soundtrack would be perfect and is quite easy to Salsa to (not too crazy fast). 4. Does anyone know if any of the resorts in Varadero do this? A beach reception is such a great idea!
  5. I was just wondering those that have already had their destination weddings or if anyone else knows, what did you do about those wristbands/bracelets? Obviously you don't want them in your wedding or TTD pictures. What does the resort do about it?
  6. Thanks everyone, yes Cuba is beautiful. My fiance is actually Cuban, so I need to find the best place to accommodate my family and friends from Canada as well as his family in Cuba. So far there has been great info on here.
  7. AlexBride I have stayed at the Melia Varadero 3 times in the past year and I think you will be quite pleased with it. They do allow children. When I was there in September (low season) the rooms that were not is use were being re-furbished and all of the furniture replaced. Speaking to some of the staff at the resort I have heard that the are doing some renovations around the resort as well during the low season to upgrade. I might have in my computer somewhere in my computer pictures of the wedding gazebo that I could send to you. Hope this helps. (I might end up getting married there myself).
  8. Did the wedding coordinator at ILA mention up to how many weddings will happen in one day? I understand obviously by how many brides on here are posting there will be several a week, the only thing I worry about is an assembly line of weddings happening in one day.
  9. Hi there, My name is Amanda and I am planning on getting married in Cuba in April of 2010. My wedding will most likely be very small. I suppose I will be one of those "Last minute brides" since I still haven't chosen an exact date and I'm planning on getting married in April. Notice I said last minute not "Shotgun" (not that there's anything wrong with that) I can't wait to go through this forum to get advice, tips and support.
