kiwibride replied to Teira1031's topic in Post your Destination Wedding & Engagement Pictures!
7 Weeks tomorrow for me (monday)! It was 6 weeks yesterday until we fly out of Australia i am so excited. Who are you using for your photographer we are a bit concerned as ours is not answering any of our emails, my FI is going to try and call this week and if we have know luck i will start looking for someone else, a stress i do not need right now!! We are not spending the night together either, we live together as well but i dont want to see him for 24hrs before the wedding it just make sit that much more exciting to see him standing at there waiting for me! Not many people seem to spend the night before apart anymore! I like to still have some traditional elements to the wedding!! -
Welcome to the forum Shawna nd congratulations! Enjoy planning your dream wedding!

Welcome to the forum Karly, I am getting married at Dreams on 11th April my co-ordinator is David and he has been amazing always responds to me quickly. Our ceremony starts at 5.30pm at the Gazebo, we have hire Arturo Sotomayer who is an amazing guitarist, i am going to walk down the aisle to him him playing Canon in D by Pachabel, he will then play amazed by lonestar as we walk back down the aisle as husband and wife! We then have a cocktail hour from 6-7pm where we will have Arturo playing. Then we have dinner at the oceana terrace, for music we will just have an ipod. After dinner we have fire dancers coming and then we move inside to a ballroom where we have d.j ricardo coming from 9pm-1am, our guest are coming from all over the world and there was no way we could have the wedding finish at 10.30pm that is why we are moving inside so we can party the night away! Neysa Berman is my hair and make-up artist, her work is amazing, i also have her coming to give me a spray tan on the friday night and then her and her team are coming on saturday to give us all mani and pedi's and also do my trial. One of my guests is hosting a cocktail party for us at the One and Only on the saturday night so will be great to have my hair and make up done for that as well! I have booked Gabriel garcia as my photographer but i am a bit worried as we have been emailing him for the last 2 weeks and have not heard anything back from him, am a bit worried, it looks like i may have to book another photographer! I hope this info helps i will post reviews as soon as i can. Good luck with your business, what is it? I am looking at starting my own business after the wedding!! I would like to get more specific information from anyone who would like to share. What would you have done differently, if anything? How did you figure out your colors? Your music? Did you have someone play during the ceremony, cocktail hour, and dinner? Where was the reception held? Did you hire a DJ? Finally, did you get any group discounts for the rooms or the airfare? Did you have a reception when you arrived back home for people who couldn't come to the actual wedding? I've been so busy planning my business (opening next month) that I'm a little overwhelmed at all of the decisions still left to be made! Thank you in advance for all of your help and guidance! Love, Karly PS. I'm having trouble starting a new thread which is strange because I usually consider myself "tech savvy"! LOL!

I went to have a fitting last week and my dress is now to big around my boobs and waist and still to tight around my bum and thighs!! Typical. Dressmaker said she could let it out on the side a bit but i said no not yet as i really want to keep working on my weight! Have signed up for a 6 week challenge at my gym where they take your measurements and weigh you once a week to see how your going it is perfect timing as we fly out in 6 weeks! Dressmaker only needs 2 weeks to do the alterations so i have 4 weeks to do it, fingers crossed i get there!!

Ok so am having a stressful week! Really busy at work and i emailed my photographer last tuesday because one of the brides on this website emailed me to ask me if i had heard from him because she had tried booking him and never heard back from him and she had sent more than one email. I also have not heard back from him and it is stressing me out! Any advice on what i should do? I have already paid the deposit and only have 8 weeks till my wedding day, he has always been so quick at replying to my emails in the past! Victoria

Welcome to the forum I am getting married at Dreams on 11th April, David is my wedding co-ordinator, i haven't come across anyone else who has David as a wc but so far he has been great. I found it really hard waiting for my final head count and then when the rsvp date came and went and some people still hadn't responded was very frustrating!! Tammy is right though there is lots to do locations for your ceremony, d.j, after party? My photographer is Gabriel Garcia i met him when i visited cabo and thought he was great, his prices are really good. Good luck with all your planning. Victoria

Post Here if You Are Getting Married in Cabo!
kiwibride replied to ACDCDCAC's topic in Destination Wedding in Cabo
Hi, Congratulations and welcome to the forum! It is your wedding you cant stress too much about your guest the people who want to be there will be and remember it is also a great holiday for them with discounted hotel rates! We live in Australia and are getting married at Dreams in cabo on 11th April 2011 we gave all our guest more than a year's notice and have set up a website where i have posted any great flight deals that i have found from england and australia (my Fi is from england) we got a good deal on rooms as we were booking a min of 12 rooms, we used a travel agent from this forum. I am so excited about my destination wedding! Good luck! In researching destinations, we are very interested in Cabo. We have reached out to a few planners and are currently awaiting a preliminary proposal. While it appears positive that we may be able to afford hosting a wedding/reception in Cabo, we have a concern relating to guests. We would definitely want to give guests at least 11-12 months to prepare/save. But the concern i have is, how much is too much to expect someone to be willing to pay to attend. I definitely understand that some will and some will not be able to attend but for those that do want to attend and plan to save in order to attend, how much it too much to expect them to pay for hotel and airfare. -
