This is great information. I hadn't thought about it being chilly at night. Guess I've been so busy with all of the other details, this one totally slipped by me. I am putting together a letter for all our of guests, and will be sure to remind them that it would be a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater.

Thank you to all for the posts! I've received a few quotes for TTD sessions. There is a pretty big range, $600.00 to $1,800. I love Del Sol, but unfortunately they are probably outside our price range :-(

Hi all! We are getting married at Dreams Cancun on February 23, 2010. We are using the resort photographer for the wedding, but we would like to find a photographer to do some TTD shots a day or two after the wedding. Hi! Welcome to BDW. Tons of information here. I am getting married at Dreams Cancun on February 23rd...

Hang in there! I had the same issue and almost moved my wedding as well. Seriously! The invitations were printed and I was about ready to pull the plug anyway because I could not get a reply from the WC. I was told Claudia's mother was very sick and passed away?? So she is/was very behind. My TA finally called and spoke with the sales director, I got really quick responses after that. Although, now I feel a little guilty for complaining while the poor WC was dealing with the illness and death of her mother... YIKES!!

Just found out from my WC that they don't have cigar rollers anymore (guess based on some other posts, that they had some issues with them). Looks like we will have to go with a cigar bar instead :-(

I have lots of pictures of the ceremony and reception sites. If you want to send me an address, I will send them to you...

We aren't doing a site visit either. We tried, but couldn't get a good price because we were looking to travel over the Thanksgiving weekend. So... we are completely basing our decision on pictures and reviews. The first time we will actually see the resort will be when we arrive. Little scary, but kind of exciting too! It does help that all the pictures and reviews have been fabulous!!

We aren't having a cocktail reception either. Figure with the sit down dinner and cocktails at the reception, no one is going to be hungry afterwards :-) Also, like others we are having it at an all-inclusive resort, there will be a little time between the wedding and reception, but there are like 7 bars they can choose from if they want a drink between the wedding and reception...

I am going with a similar color scheme (turquoise & brown). I like option #2 also, it will go well with the contemporary look of your venue. Which I love by the way :-)

My FI and I are thinking of hiring someone to hand roll cigars at our reception (Dreams Cancun) has anyone or is anyone doing this? If so, who did you use, any information you could provide would be awesome!!
