What about Bubba Keg? You can buy them at Canadian Tire (wait till they go on sale) and they're great at keeping drinks cold. This is what I'll be giving at my wedding. I'm just attaching a label to them.

I know how you feel. FI's parents are in the same boat. They say they'll be able to save up enough money (getting married Jan 2011) but my FI and I have our doubts. We're prepared to help them pay for it. It's important for both of us that they're there. I think if it's someone you really to be at your wedding then you have to be prepared to help them pay for it. It's not fair to expect them to pay for a trip that you know they can't afford..on the other kind, I wouldn't give them all the money. They do have to show that they are saving up some money for it. Good luck with your decision.
I agree...the band would be great but you have to look at how much it will cost. If it's going to put you over budget then just stick with the DJ, otherwise go with the band!
If you really don't want to go alone, why not ask both your brothers to go with you? If your close to both of them, and making a choice could hurt one of their feelings, I don't see why you can't have both of them with you.
I've had a hard time finding specific pictures of the wedding sites. The only pictures I've seen is through links that others have posted. If you do a search for "Iberostar Rose Hall Beach" you'll have to search through the posts to find them, I really don't remember where I saw them. I was initially going to book with GPJ but ultimately decided on the Iberostar. Good luck!
I think that they more notice you give, the better it is for your guests. I'm giving 12 months notice, but I certainly would've given more if it was possible.

I know it's still a long ways away but it's still a relief that have picked a resort and secured a date. Now I can start all the fun stuff!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Congrats and welcome. I got engaged in Sept too and am getting married in Jan. 2011. The hardest part has been deciding on a resort and actually booking it (a lot of resorts aren't booking for 2011). You'll find everything u need here though, good luck!
I'm using a 'My Wedding Organizer' that I picked up at a local large chain bookstore. It's a 3 ring binder and has everything you need. I also bookmark a lot of stuff online.
