  1. There are already a couple of other threads dedicated to January 2011 brides...do a search and you'll find them.
  2. We're arriving Wed and getting married on Monday, just worked out to be the cheapest day to fly.
  3. We have 58 ppl booked right now, including us, but expecting closer to 80 by the time the big day hits.

There's a DJ that works with the resort so we're thinking of using him. The alternative is to just bring our own music on an ipod and either have him handle the ipod or just get a playlist all set before going, and just press play during the reception. With this option, we'd just rent the entertainment equipment and not have an actual DJ. Right now I'm putting together a playlist and deciding if it's worth saving a couple of bucks, or just not have any headaches and have the DJ do everything.

  6. We invited over 300 ppl (about a 100 we weren't expecting, but was just a courtesy to invite them) and we're expecting about 80 ppl to come. 56 have booked so far, and about 10 - 20 are waiting till the fall to see if they'll be able to make it, or they just want to look for their own deal. I didn't even get 50% of my RSVP's back, most ppl do ignore them. I found out mainly from my TA would had booked, and just from talking to others I know who's still interested in coming. Due to the large size of the wedding, we've decided on doing a private reception with a DJ and dancing. Even with this size we're budgeting $13000, max $15000. This price includes everything! Flight, accomodation, wedding, attire, gifts, photographer, rings, etc. I really don't forsee us spending more than that. The only thing with having a larger wedding is that I feel more pressure to make sure everything goes well and that everyone has a good time. Ppl are paying a lot of money to come and celebrate with us and I don't want to let them down!
  7. Everythign looks great...have a wonderful time and I look forward to your pics

Casa Blanca Bridal :: Collections or Toni - by Sottero & Midgley If I were to choose the first dress, I would probably get a sash around the natural waist. Thanks for any and all opinions! Regan I love the first one, very romantic and kind of sexy. I don't think it really needs a sash, but only seeing it could I give a real answer on that.
  9. you've put so much hard work into your wedding...your guests will really appreciate it!
  10. My FI has one and he loves it! His only complaint is that the buttons are too small (he has big fingers) so he's looking to get a bold or something similar once his contract expires. I have an iphone and he loves his bb more for texting and emailing, it's easier to type.
  11. My dress isn't tight so I was thinking of going with a lacy/sexy pair of boy shorts...comfortable, sexy and FI loves them on me
  12. I included all the pricing in the invite. I think my guests appreciated that because most ppl need to know the price before they decide if they can go, so only the ppl that could afford it contacted my TA. Just made it easy for everyone.
  13. when i booked, kids under 2 were free and kids under 12 had a reduced rate (about $500 less than what the adults pay). for the wedding package itself, kids under 12 are free and not included in the numbers.
  14. Do you have any pictures of the dress on you? I think it'd be easier to tell you which one looks good on you. Just from the pictures alone, I like the first dress best.
  15. The ring is beautiful...glad everything worked out for you.

What price did you get? Is it from Toronto? I got a group rate of $1416/person, and it also includes a one time price drop.

FI and I aren't sure if we'll have kids and ppl are already asking us that question...ugh
