Some are for the next couple months, some I even specifically searched up to end of year and still I'm getting these types of prices compared to the outrageous ones people are being quoted. I just can't see what accounts for such a significant discrepancy. I'm really frustrated with it, I have no idea why the discrepancy! My TA says it's because tour operators have caught on to the DW trend and aren't offering the discounts they use to, they know they can charge more and people will go. I'm online checking prices for different times of the year and the prices are way less then what I'm getting quoted so far for the wedding...I really hope they go down soon!
  2. I'm really trying to keep it around $1500 pp too...let's see if we can do it!

I too am waiting anxiously for rates ...I dont want to shock my guests either with 2K+ for a week!! I told them I was hoping for no more than 1500 for them to pay ..So we will see. That's the same thing I've told my guests...my FI and I have capped pricing at $1500. If it ends up being more then we'll have to change resorts
  4. a lot of brides seem to be getting married there : Mexico
  5. I'm interested in these too..can't wait to see the rest.
  6. I'm getting married Jan 9, 2011 at the Iberostar Rose Hall Beach in Jamaica. We chose January because my FI will be done school in Dec so it's pretty much the earliest we could get married, and the beginning of Jan is a fairly cheap time to travel (compared to the rest of the season). The pricing hasn't come out yet so we haven't booked the flights, resort, etc but we were able to secure the date with the resort; will have to wait about 1-2 mos to see what the prices will be. We sent out our STD's this past Jan and once we get the confirmed price, we'll out the formal invites. I've also already bought and ordered my dress and booked a photographer. I'm getting anxious though...I just want the pricing so I can book things!!!!!!!!!

Also do any of the 'Iberostar Beach' girls know if there is poolside dancing available as offered at the Suites? Ohhh! That's a good question! I'd love to know that too!
