My biggest worry is having enough time in the morning to get everyone's hair and makeup done and get dressed. My biggest stress right now (aside from getting to my dress fitting on time tonight!) is my wedding ring. The one that matches my engagement ring turned out to be a lot pricier than I was originally told. Not sure what I'm gonna do, and we leave in 5 weeks! What are you going to wear to the disco? I'm trying to decide. You should consider having a small privately owned place make your band. We were quoted a high price too for my band and then went to a mom and pop place and they quoted us 1/2 of what the other place did!

I can't believe it's almost here!! Today, my patients canceled due to snow so I went shopping and had a pretty successful day! I most likely have my shoes taken care of. I want them dyed 2 different colors so they are going to confirm with the dye-girl that she can do that and then call me tomorrow. I also found a back up just in case that doesn't work out. I got my earrings from Dillards and I love them. I got 2 hostess gifts for the girls throwing me a shower. Victoria secret is having their semi-annual sale and had TONS of swim suits in the store (that I actually got to try on instead of chancing it with online) so I found one that I liked finally and got an "outfit" that I thought I might wear for FI on Valentines day. I also found a veil that I loved, but haven't decided on what kind I want yet. I kind of want a cathedral length like this bride... kohler44's biography - Project Wedding Do you guys think it's too long for a beach wedding? Too windy? It's just so pretty, but I could totally go shorter too.

I have a hunch that with Valentine's day nearing, they aren't running as many. Have you taken a look at the 'brides on a budget' collection? As far as how many to get, I think every single person (43 not including DH and I) grabbed a handful of petals. You have fewer guests, so that's good and not everyone needs to throw them. You want a couple of good pictures and you can get that from just a few people throwing them right in front of you. If you have more questions you should call them directly. I spoke with someone there and she was very helpful and patient and explained how many cups I should get. I gave the flowers to Val at our on-site meeting and explained that i wanted a few scattered on the aisle and in the gazebo. She said the aisle would be hard to do b/c the wind might scatter them but on the stairs and inside the gazebo would be better. As always, I listened to what Val said:) We didn't have flower girls either. The petals were there before people arrived at the gazebo. 110 cups?!? Holy Cow. I thought you just made a typo when you said you received 30 free. I thought you meant 30 total. Thanks for the info...I think I will give them a call tomorrow. I called them once, and you're right....they are very nice and helpful over the phone. Thanks again.

I'm so excited to get the starfish after you. I'm glad it got passed on! That was a close call!

Also, the pictures were larger when I was editing them but when I saved the thread, they became thumbnail size. Any suggestions? Once again, I just want to thank everyone on this forum for contributing and making my dream wedding possible. I couldn't have done it without you! Enjoy! Thank you soooo much for taking the time to give us that wonderful review!!! I have 2 questions... 1. I am also planning on ordering freeze dried pedals from flyboynaturals.com. You said that you ordered 60 cups total for 45 guests and it was plenty....they no longer have the option to order 25 and get 5 free. You either have to get 20 and get none free or get 30 and get 4 free. I would double one of these and either get 40 or 68 cups. I will have roughly 30 guests that I want to throw pedals, would like them for the aisle, and reception tables. Did you feel like you had a lot more than you really needed or do you think it was perfect? 68 just seems like a ton, but I definitely don't want to run out. 2. You have roses on the aisle...who put them there and when. We will not have a flower girl. Are they placed before guests arrive, after guests arrive, but before bride and who did it?? Thank you so much again for the review!!!

To be honest I am starting to regret my decision for the price we are paying. Brooke, sorry to hear you're having a rough time with the coordinators. Do you still have Angelica? She's helping me, but usually takes 1 week to respond. I try to think long and hard before I press send on an email to make sure I've included all questions. And can you believe that we only have 52/53 days to go?!? I'm just so flippin' excited!! What do you plan to do with your free bouquet since you are bringing one down with you? Can we exchange it for something else?
  7. Hi ladies...I need some advice...so wedding starts at 2:00 pm. I wish is was later, but it is what it is, I guess. I'm not having a cocktail hour (don't want to pay for 1 hour of drinking at an ALL-INCLUSIVE resort), we are having a private function (I've somehow convinced myself that cocktail hour is not ok, but paying for a dinner at an all-inclusive resort is acceptable??), and I'm thinking that we will go to one of the clubs/bars to continue the celebration. So...any advice on the timeline? I only see 2 options... 2:00- wedding 2:45- champagne toast 3:00- pics 3 hour gap doing who knows what 6:00-private function (dinner, cake, some dancing if I can convince FI to pay extra for music!) 8:00- move party to bar (after we take a brief detour to our room so I can change out of my dress) _OR_ 2:00- Wedding 2:45- champagne toast 3:00- pics 3:30 or 4:00 private function few hour break 8 or 9:00 meet at bar neither sound that great to me because I feel bad for the guests to have a big break. I read a review on some website one time (i think Tripadvisor) where a guest at the hotel said that he saw a wedding taking place and then after the wedding was over the guests just kind of wondered around with nothing to do afterwards and he said it looked unorganized and awkward. I just don't want that to happen! Anyone else with an afternoon wedding? Any suggestions?

I can't remember where I got this website from...I think Brooke... Realistic Silk Wedding Flowers, Natural Touch and Silk Bridal Bouquets Here is my inspiration bouquet that I gave them... An important question: When they say a 50% deposit is due 14 days after confirmation....what is the 50%? Is it half of your wedding package....half of your travel....half of everyones travel? Can guests book through a website like travelocity or do they have to book directly through the hotel? Thanks. Yea MP brides! Like Woodsylou said, there's advantages and disadvantages to both. We chose to book through a travel agent to save our guests money instead of save us money.

My mom sent out 260 invites and got 190 replies and had over 350 ppl show up at her reception. Don't know why we bother with rsvps when guests ignore them anyways! Oh god, I hope that doesn't happen to me! I'm sending out 165 invites (320 people) and am really hoping for no more than 225 or 250. I would freak out at 350!!! Shouldn't happen as long as they all read the RSVP card which explicitly states how many seats we have reserved for them. I feel like I don't want them to go to waste since we hardly get anything else included there!
  12. I have the same issue going on! I think I'll have them both...one on each side, but haven't found a way to tell my dad yet...
  13. Hi ladies!! Just curious...for those of you getting round bouquets...what size are you going with? I'm leaning toward 10", but wondering if that will be too small Thanks! There are beautiful bouquets on here by the way!

I agree...it would be really nice if we could all meet up somewhere later in the year and talk in person:) Very funny! I see where I stand, he claims thats not what he meant. On a happy note last night we went to Justin's xmas party and they did a raffle and we won the big prize of a 32" flat screen tv... i was like...sweet early wedding gift from the company! So as I write this he is setting it up. Susie- Glad to hear you put the little snot in her place! We already knew that the Feb brides thread is the best thread there is!! I can't wait to see if we can meet up after the weddings and share photos and wedding videos somewhere! You are on top of things, girl! I need to work on the script as well as order my sand ceremony things. I got tons of OOT bag stuff this weekend though, which is good! Will they read our script at MP...I thought I heard something about them not doing it or is that just for civil ceremonies? Flower question for you guys----I am ordering my bouquet this week and really don't know what size to get. What are you guys getting? I'm getting a round one and I'm thinking 10"...is that too small?? I don't want a huge one, but also want it to be a decent bridal bouquet size. Also, those of you taking yours are you carrying it on or checking it?

  17. She did match the inspiration great! It looks good! I'm gonna search this weekend for some samples as well. I think I want mine similar to the blond in the #1. I'll email her some soon. Thanks for the photos!!

So a more specific question for you. What kind of spray is she putting on your hair to hold the curls? I want mine half up/down as well and I am sooo worried about the humidity. I know some people use...I think it's Redkin Hotsets...what does your sister recommend?

We couldn't stop hearing from our guests that we had the best wedding EVER...and we had some hard to please guests. I couldn't agree more. If I could say one thing to you it would be DON'T WORRY!!! Everything will work out just fine. What amazed me was how organized the WCs were. They didn't miss a detail. Not one detail...and I had a lot! I keep dreaming about my wedding and want to relive it! Anyway, I promise to get my review done soon and post some pictures as well. Good luck to all of the upcoming brides. I seriously think you can't go wrong with anything you choose. Gotta have that paperwork on time! I was thinking it should be about 20, but with the amount of close family and friends my FI and I have collected over the years (some of us have been friends since we were 5 years old) how the heck to I narrow that list down and not hurt people's feelings? How many people did you guys have at your showers? Have you considered having separate ones for different groups...ex: friends and family at different ones. The only problem I see with that many is that it could be a little overwhelming for the person throwing it. My friend recently offered to throw a baby shower for another one of our friends and the list she gave had 65 people! After a minor panic attack she decided to recruit a couple of us to help her with it. With three of us it was no big deal, but if there's only one or two people it could get kind of pricey for food, drinks, decorations, ect. If there's several girls go for it!
