Ugh - our direct flights both to and from our wedding were canceled by AJ as they wont be flying to Chicago after april. So, we have to find another airline entirely and now will have to have stop-overs. And we have to add an extra night at the resort so that we dont completely lose a day. Travel was the one thing I WASNT worried about...now I am.

we arent having a wedding party - originally my FH wanted his best friend to be the BM, but once we realized he might not be able to make the trip, we scrapped the whole idea. we also arent sure how many people will be there and didnt want more people standing up front with us than there are sitting in the chairs! i have to say, i was pretty annoyed with how my friends took the news. two of them were writing to each other on facebook about how lame i was for not having bridesmaids. ugh - so i took that to mean i made the right decision.

hey tiffandmarv! we are getting married, on monday, may 31st, 2010..memorial day! i should probably get that updated in my profile... Has anyone done ceremony in the morning and reception in the evening? We are doing the ceremony at 11am (in case people need to fly back the same day) and the reception at 5pm (for the sunset and dinner and all that good stuff). But I'm not sure what to do with my people in between other than tell them to have lunch and take a swim...

I just scanned it and emailed it back. Yeah, it sounds like they are still just trying to get caught up with everything and everyone. Hopefully, the communication will improve once they have a better handle on all of the upcoming events.

I was able to secure my wedding date a few months ago (and then reconfirmed once they switched WCs). Julian sent me a wedding request form that I filled out and gave them credit card info for the $300 deposit. From my understanding, it's the $300 and that form that secure your date. Its at the end of that long brochure-thing called Palladium Weddings Jamaica. I'll try to post the link here. I finally heard back from Nina too...I think she must have just gone through all of her emails on Thursday night and replied to every single one. I actually got the same email twice. ha! Luckily, I also got an email from Lori yesterday confirming my date and asking for all of our docs. That was a stressful few weeks, but at least now I can get excited again... yay!

YAY!!! Congrats! It sounds like you guys had a great time! I can't wait! Thanks for the info on Nina...we were all going a little nuts wondering if she dropped off the face of the earth. Also - that is AWESOME that you were able to give them a list of the guests and they put them in the same villa. What a great idea! I thought that since we decided not to reserve a block that we would all be scattered to the wind!

Ahh! Hi again, Lisa! I have emailed 3 times in the past week and a half - first time on 10/30 and most recently yesterday afternoon and have heard nothing back. I've emailed the weddings email, the reservations manager email, and then the guest relations email. And nothing... I'm curious too to hear if anyone has heard back in the past 2 weeks. This is really starting to freak me out...

Hi Lisa! I'm getting married about a month after you on May 31st. I tried to re-confirm my date, time, and reception time after I heard of the WC change too... Sent the email last Friday and still haven't heard anything back. I guess I'm not too worried since it's so far off and I have all of the confirmations from Julian. But geez... Does anyone know if there is going to be another new WC or if Nina is (relatively) permanent?
