  1. Yeah I think there are two ways you can go here. If you have some extra wiggle room in the budget and $200 isn't going to put a big dent in it, I would probably go ahead and pay for everyone's lunch. That being said, if I was a guest at your wedding and I was well aware that I was to bring $10 for lunch that day, I would not be offended by it. I would gladly pay it!
  2. Just sent you a PM! Hoping you still have 3 left!!! They are adorable.
  3. Wow these are beautiful. Gosh, you ladies that live in the US just have the best choices for online purchases! I don't know of my OOT budget allows for these but if they do, I will look for another group order!
  4. I am using the passport idea for my welcome booklet. I am doing it in Microsoft Word and I changed the page layout to photo size (4x6) This way all I have to do is print the pages off on 4x6 paper (photo paper or cardstock) and can put the pages in a small photo album. My brain can't handle it any other way (making sure all the pages fold together properly in the right order etc!)
  5. I picked up a few of these for my BM's and myself. I thought they were really cute and too expensive to use for all the OOT bags, but a nice little Bridesmaid gift nonetheless. Lug Life CV Straps > All-Purpose Totes > Travel Accessories - eBags They are on sale right now for $15.99 until the end of the day. After today, they will be $19.99. I got the crimson. Love!!
  6. Yeah thanks for the heads up. Wonder if Canada wal-marts will have a similar sale. Let's see a pic!
  7. I am trying to choose between these canvas bags or the natural looking button bags from Dollarama. The Dollarama ones are double the price, but seem a little nicer...
  8. So I ordered three of those Lug bags and the total came to $65.53 USD. That's including tax and shipping. I did have them shipped to my cousin in TX, because I didn't want to worry about shipping to Canada but there is a shipping to Canada option!
  9. I saw a great deal for the Lug Life Clearview Beach Bags today online. I bought three of them, one for me and two for my girls. They are going to be the bags I use for their OOT bags, as well as some extra gifts for the bridesmaids. I was tempted to buy the travel wallet too but am leaving that for now. The Beach Bag is usually $34.00 and it is on sale for $15.99 (today only) After today the price goes up to 19.99. Still not a bad deal. And I have wanted one of these anyway. This is the link Lug Life CV Straps > All-Purpose Totes > Travel Accessories - eBags Echo, yeah I am pretty sure these will just fit in an envelope and not cost more than a regular letter. Thanks again, and msg me when you have them and I will pop a cheque in the mail to cover your costs.
  10. Gosh there are some great ideas here! I wish I had bookoos of money to spend on my two bridesmaids! I am on the look out for those Lug see through bags (perfect beach bags) on sale and I plan on filling them with some cool things. Thanks for all the ideas ladies.
  11. I love those free make up trials! I don't think I could spend $50 at Mac though. I am not a fan of their make up. Sephora on the other hand...
  12. I love primer. I use it underneath my mineral powder foundation and sometimes even just on its own. I really like the Arbonne primer, it makes my skin feel like silk and really keeps the make up looking nice and fresh. I can't believe I have gone so many years wearing make up without primer!
  13. I definitely could tell they were pearls, so no need to worry there!!! Cute theme. Also, you figured out how to post it....how did you do that? Because I didn't know how!! Did you have to save it as a picture or was there some other way to do it?
  14. Hey that's sweet of you! That would be great if you wouldn't mind. I can paypal you the money to cover the cost of them and the shipping probably around 6 bucks or so. Or I could also mail you a cheque. If they have two of each, bridesmaid and flowergirls, shoot me a pm and we can exchange info. Thanks!!!! Also...I am looking to order some of the hibiscus coin purses from Oriental Trading Company and having them shipped to my cousin who lives in TX. She said she will put them in the mail for me as a gift (which a company will not do) to save on the stupid brokerage fees etc. I wouldn't mind ordering some for other Canadian gals and shipping them out, as long as the cost of the purses and shipping is looked after (easily done with paypal)
  15. MarieSam, these look great. What is the trick to changing the colours? I would like to use my wedding colours and I am usually pretty good with word, but changing the colours of these shapes is alluding me...Thanks!
  16. Wow that looks absoltely fantastic! What program did you use? Powerpoint? I love the font in your names and the palm trees. Well done.
  17. Good idea. I thought it would be cute for me and my two bridesmaids to have some bling on our flip flops!!!
  18. These are fantastic! I printed out your labels and started cutting them out the second I saw them! I bought a bunch of stuff for my first aid kits today and didn't know how I was going to pull it all together. Now I know! Thanks. Just a tip too, I am using those travel bar soap holders from the Dollarstore to hold my first aid kit items. They were only .50 each, so I thought it was a steal and I would be able to personalize them myself with whatever I wanted to put in them!
  19. I think in this day and age, with people living together before marriage, having kids etc. people need to move with the times and realize that newlyweds need more than just pots and pans and dish towels as wedding gifts! LOL. Your idea of registering for a couch is just fine...perhaps people can give you gift cards to put toward it or a big group of people can go in on it.
  20. That's a great idea...people will love taking water pics with those!
  21. Went to Dollarama today and found some OOT goodies. My Dollarama finds include: Mini Shower Puffs (3 for 1.00) Kleenex Packages (10 for 2.00) Lens Cleaning Wipes (20 for 1.00) Anti Bac Hand Cleanser (3 for 1.00) 4 oz shower gels, comes in a 4 pack in different scents! ($2.00 for the 4 pack) Waterproof Bandaids (1 pkg of 20 for 1.00) Plastic cases (you know, those ones that are used for bars of soap when you travel?) They are 2 for 1.00 and I plan on using those for First Aid kits and fill them with bandaids and advil, pepto and other first aid stuff! Decks of Cards-$1.00 each
  22. Even though my wedding is not until Feb. 2011, we decided to start stocking up on stuff for OOT bags little bits at a time, that way our bank account doesn't take such a big hit all at once! I found my cups at Michaels on clearance. They are white and say Eat Drink and Be Married on them in teal. They were 4.99 for a ten pack, so .50 each. They are 2 for 1.00 and I plan on using those for First Aid kits and fill them with bandaids and advil, pepto and other first aid stuff! Decks of Cards-$1.00 each I did see those bags and liked them. But I want to take my FI to see if he likes them. I know I can get canvas bags for $1.00 each, so these ones are literally double the price, even though $2.00 is still cheap!
  23. Count me in too! I can't do much right now, am 20 weeks pregnant. The doctor has advised me to follow the breastfeeing guidelines for Weight Watchers and work out as I would like. Baby is due in July and I have seven months after that to lose the flab and look good in my dress!
