  1. oh! just realised you're the same Donna from the Confetti forum! YAY! hello!
  2. thanks! it's fun to keep checking! the OOT bags are one the things i'm really excited about! is that sad?!
  3. did you find a big difference in prices at the other palace resorts? for us staying at any of the palaces were the same price.
  4. oh i see. i think things are different in the US (i'm in the UK) it's a real toughie. i would email the people you REALLY want there and tell them the details of the wedding, where it will be and an approximate cost, and ask them to let you know if they'll be going. say you have 20 people (10 couples) going, then ask your travel agent to quote you based on that. then if more people book then it doesn't matter really. or do you get bigger discounts if say 30 people book compared to 20?
  5. that's harsh. where are you getting married? have you considered talking to the hotel direct about discount group rates?
  6. http://www.society-brides.co.uk/imag...sley/1099a.jpg this is my dress, but my dress is lemon not purple (that's not me btw, unfortunately!!) some of the dresses on here are gorgeous!

    Hi!

Welcome!! do you know roughly where you'd like a wedding? the Carribean or maybe Mexico or maybe thailand or Hawaii? there's so much choice!! i hope you enjoy the forum xx
  8. i am not being sarky or offensive, i hope! i am just saying that i thought the wording was harsh! i am totally aware of the rules and totally agree with them and i think, as i've said, that this forum is great and full of helpful and wonderful information and advice. But, what i am concerned about, is that like in this discussion where we're just talking about opinions and not being offensive or abusive, am i being threatened with being banned? if so, why? again, i am not trying to be abusive or offensive, but i am just enquiring. i don't want to be banned at all! i am enjoying it here, but i just would like to know.
  9. no i know, but i just think parts of it were worded slightly harshly. sometimes as a newbie on a site, and this is a BIG site and it's full of fabulous useful stuff, but sometimes you don't really know how to work it. i just think they could of said something like 'unfortunately we can't have multiple threads on the same subject, if you go to xyz it tells you how to search and that might help, good luck' something like that you know? i just think " have a newborn at home as well...AND a 2 year old and i run 2 businesses. we are all busy. use the search feature this topic has been discussed at length. thread closed." is a little blunt and harsh. but that's just my opinion.
  10. i think those replies are quiet harsh. she was just asking. as a relatively newbie myself sometimes you're not 100% sure what to do.
  11. thanks! do you know how much shipping would be to the UK? (we're talking the fans right?!)
  12. thank you! unfortunately im in the UK, so with shipping these things are expensive but thank you for looking! xxx
  13. WELCOME! congratulations on your engagement! i looked at Thailand for mine too, but ended up in Mexico! enjoy the planning xxx
  14. a friend of mine is booking for 2011 and has been advised to wait until the new year for rates etc. you might just have to wait a little! i booked with a travel agent in the UK, booking direct with the MP was soooooooo much more expensive (although you get the bonus of the free events, but they're not really free if you're paying so much more, you know?!). some of my guests are staying in cheaper resorts in cancun, and have booked to stay at the MP just for two nights, over the dates of the wedding. remember 20% of your guests can be external (I actually negotiated and got 30%, and so far all of my guests are residents! typical!)
  15. i've got a price for a centerpiece, but it doesn't tell me the options etc, nothing for petals. i have the basic prices like this: Table top flower arrangement Starting Price $ 89 USD  Bridal bouquet Starting Price $ 146 USD  Groom’s boutonniere Starting Price $ 42 USD  Corsage Starting Price $ 47 USD  Maid of honor bouquet Starting Price $ 120 USD  Hair flower(s) (1 piece/unit ) Starting Price $ 32 USD but i don't know what centerpieces are that price, if that makes sense? does anyone have anymore info than what i have?
  16. i am trying to bring very little with me. if i can't get it over there, then i can't have it. basically!
  17. does anyone have the price list of flowers in 2010 at the moon palace? for centerpieces and bouquets? (I can't open attachments, so as a post?)
  18. thats such a bargain, such a good price!! i wasn't going to bother but i think i might for that cost! does anyone have a list of the prices of the flowers (centerpieces and bouquets?) i can't open attachements, so as a post plllllllease?!
