  1. Sorry you're having so many problems. for our wedding myself and our guests have just used any travel agent or website we've found which is cheapest. Booking direct with the MP was sooooooooooo expensive and i don't think the benefit of having free events is worth the extra costs to all my guests. We have 26 people coming to the wedding who are staying at the MP (most for about 10 days) so really we should be entitled to all the frills, but i can't be bothered to fight for it!

  4. the only thing i found is i sent an email asking for x y z and then changed my mind! haha! but they've been great. my wedding is in July and i have confirmed my wedding ceremony location, my dinner reservation at the restaurant i wanted, my photographer etc etc
  5. Hey i know the WC's dont contact you until 60 days before your wedding, but i also know you can send them details of everything you want, so they can look into it for you. i've got 6 months until my wedding and i have sorted most of the details now. just send them an email with your details of your date and time of wedding and what you want (i.e. beach wedding location, cocktail reception location, menu, private event details location menu, photography package and photographer request etc etc) even if they don't reply, they'll keep it on your file and will try and get you what you request

  7. ummm, i don't know what you guys call them, like the female equivilent to a batchelor party! a Batchelorette party! do you guys celebrate with batcherlorette/hen parties? we REALLY do! I have four in the UK before i go one for a weekend with my school friends to a suprise destination, one with another set of friends for three nights in Ibiza, one with my family at a spa for a weekend and one with EVERYONE for dinner and drinks and dancing at a mexican restaurant in London
  8. yeah me too, im going for the complimentary one and adding things to it. for me it worked out a lot more cost effective too.
  9. wow that's really late! that's great! when ive been to the caribbean before the sun sets so early! oh i am pleased! more daylight! YAY!
  10. im getting married at 4pm, as i've heard it's not as hot then and there aren't too many people on the beach, also, it'll give nice photo's before sunset
  11. we're having something at our resort, just drinks on the first night everyone's there. im going to coco bongo for my hen night though! i'd love a catamaran tour, a day one though, so im looking into that too.
  12. Free for the Huppa? that's great!!! thanks for letting me know! is there any extra costs involved in having the wedding on the beach? like i think i heard there was a $3 per person cost?
  13. we're not doing a site visit either, as Katie 2010 said, it's just too expensive from the UK. although i've NEVER been to Mexico before, so i have no idea what to expect! i kind of like that!
  14. i got this from cutiesrosie's review The day I arrived I saw a set up with a Huppa and flowers at the corners of the huppa. I didn’t really care for the flowers, nor the cost of them. The cost of the huppa alone like the one in my pictures is only $150.00 that is it. But if you add flowers to the corners, then it is $360. Then if you add flower pots in the aisle it gets up to $850. i don't know how to upload the pic she had, but go to wedding reviews and search for moonpalace, look for the one by cutiesrosie and it's in there.
  15. what an amazing and fabulous review, so helpful! your wedding looked gorgeous as did you! congratulations! x

We couldn't stop hearing from our guests that we had the best wedding EVER...and we had some hard to please guests. I couldn't agree more. If I could say one thing to you it would be DON'T WORRY!!! Everything will work out just fine. What amazed me was how organized the WCs were. They didn't miss a detail. Not one detail...and I had a lot! I keep dreaming about my wedding and want to relive it! Anyway, I promise to get my review done soon and post some pictures as well. Good luck to all of the upcoming brides. I seriously think you can't go wrong with anything you choose. Can't wait to share the details of our day. Mrseddy. sounds fabulous, can't wait for your review! can i be REALLY cheeky and ask for some details about the restaurants! im still trying to decide where to have my wedding meal! thank you! xxx
  20. You're welcome! it'd still be nice to get more reviews from others that had been there
  21. WAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! i dont know why it makes a difference, but in December i was so cool and laid back and now its this year im like a manic woman!

An important question: When they say a 50% deposit is due 14 days after confirmation....what is the 50%? Is it half of your wedding package....half of your travel....half of everyones travel? Can guests book through a website like travelocity or do they have to book directly through the hotel? Thanks. Yea MP brides! hey!! welcome! well it's easier if you go through a travel agent (TA) just for convenience. BUT, you get big benefits when booking direct with the Moon Palace (MP). if you book with the MP direct you get free events depending how many rooms you and your party book. It's worth speaking to a TA about getting a group booking, so you still get these benefits. although saying that, we looked at doing that, but it worked out about $300 per person more expensive!!! so we forfeiting the free events so that everyone gets a cheaper trip. then i let my guests book however they wanted, just so long as they're at the hotel on the day of the wedding. also, remember that you can only have 20% of your guests as non-MP residents (I actually negotiated this up to 30%) and day guests have to pay a $89 entry fee.
