Hey do you mean the music for the ceremony or for the reception/cocktail hour? my WC said we needed to look for 5 songs for the ceremony, these were: 1. waiting before you arrive 2. bride walking down the aisle 3. signatures 4. song when the minister pronouces you husband and wife 5. walking out if you have an ipod for your cocktail/reception and you're not paying for a DJ package, then it just plays and it's your responsibility. you can have a cheap DJ package which is: package 1 $1495 Four hours DJ, Sound and lights 2 speakers 1 wireless mic 8 LED's lights and consoles Package 2 $995 Full 2 hours, DJ, Sound and lights 2 speakers 1 wireless mic 8 LED's lights and consoles Package 3 $385 Full 4 hours self cd or Ipod music system 1 speaker CD player and mixer Package 4 $220 Full 2 hours self cd or ipod music system 1 speaker cd player and mixer for package 3 and 4 there is no dj, so you have to have a designated person to do it for you. personally, if you're considering 3 or 4 i wouldn't bother! i'd purchase an ipod docking station with speakers, then you can plug that in. it might cost about £150 but you get to take it home with you!!

I did ask about doing a rehersal dinner and where we should make our dinner reservation.... still waiting! Hope your wedding planning is going well. How many bridesmaids do you have? Whats your color theme? Are u doing and hands or sand ceremony? (I'm doing both) As for the GHD question- I would just invest in a converter that plugs in and adapts to our electric. Thats what I had to do when I went to israel & egypt and it worked out great! what a shame. so you still don't have a restaurant confirmed for your dinner? how many people do you have? where do you want? my plans are good thanks, i've only got one adult bridesmaid coming, and two flower girls. our theme is lemon and navy. the boys are in navy suits, my big bridesmaid has a navy dress. my dress is lemon What about you? what is a hand ceremony? We're doing a sand ceremony but i don't really know too much about it. how are you doing it? who's doing the 'reading' part of it for you? I read that the converter still doesn't get the UK GHD's hot enough. i might just have to invest in an American paid of GHD's. do you know where i could buy some from? x

FutureMrsMolton - have you had more satisfactory service now? do you feel a bit better about it all? i hope they have helped! I have a very random question. I use GHD's over here, but i understand the power in the USA and Mexico is different to it over here (in the UK) so i wondered, do you guys have GHD's over there? or if not, what straighteners do you girls use? i think it might be better for me to invest in some that will work over there!

Thank you. because we didn't do any kind of group booking, we all just booked individuallly, we aren't entitled to the free events, but im going to try and get them, once i have everyone's booking details. i might actually leave that job to one of the ushers, he's like king of the barter people! haha! thanks for the advice!

I tried to get my TA to put a higher percentage in the contract but she said it doesn't matter b/c they usually don't give people a hard time. Is that true? I was so angry at my fi for picking a place that no one can afford... why is MP so expensive he assures me it is worth it and that everything will be wonderful. I hope he is right! Hi i negotiated it up to 30% and got her to put it on an email, so i can bring with me just incase. i was thinking at the weekend, if you did exceed your allowence, couldn't some of your guests just turn up and buy their own entry tickets and not mention your wedding? and then come and join you? or would that not work? im lucky as so far only 4 of my guests are external. and yes, i think it will be worth the prices

I am gonna look around for another place....wrist bands are tacky! i stayed at excellence playa that was more upscale i guess Hi and welcome!! i think you need to do lots of research to get a resort you really love. personally the Moon Palace is so perfect, they have been fabulous with me and i would highly reccommend them. the wrist band thing doesn't bother me at all, but that's just me. If you aren't keen then i think you should definitely look around at other venues. i get married in July 2010 and have had great customer service from my WC and have everything i wanted, given to me. It's sad to hear some people had an awful experience, i hope it gets better for you FutureMsMoulton. x
