  1. We are going to buy the MOH dress and shoes (although my sister is adimant she will buy her own) and then depending on if my other bridesmaid can make it or not i was going to buy the dress and shoes and maybe get her to pay for her own hair on the day.... is this the sort of thing others are doing?? It's hard knowing what to do for the best...
  2. We are only having FI, bestman and father of the groom in the suit so we will buy for them. Then i need to get a similar suit for my son ( i bet that will be the hardest part)

I thought about getting a nice khaki suit and tie for my FI and then have the GM where just khaki dress pants, white dress shirt and matching ties. THoughts? I dont want to ask them to buy a whole suit. OMG Bonnie - July... wow they better get sorted soon, ha ha! I dont know if i could leave it that long to pick important things like that. I will kick Dan up the butt to get his sorted hee hee! Lindobride14 - I like the idea of the suit for FI and then the same colour pants and white shirts for GM. We were thinking the same sort of thing. Dan has seen a nice stone colour suit he likes so he's going to try that on. They do it in linen also but what are ppl's thoughts on linen looking in the photos?

I just knew it was the one and when it finally arrived, I could not have been more thrilled and in love with this dress!!! Such a pretty girlie dress I LOVE IT!!! Can't wait to see a picture of you in it! )

  6. Ha ha well for those of you worrying about turning 30 i'm going to be 33 in September!!! AARRRRGGGHH!! But i am young at heart. I will say i am 21 forever hee hee!...... As for the photos, my FI would not be expecting anything like that so it would be a nice surprise for him if i could build up the courage to do them. I wonder how much they would be?..... And as for the kids finding them. I'm not to worried. I'd be proud if i looked good in them, lol. I hope they airbrush, ha ha ha ha! I think he will get me something but only because we've talked about wedding gifts. If i didn't mention he wouldn't have even known about them.... I suppose alot of men don't really know about the little things that go with a wedding! Well Dan doesn't anyway, lol

I was thinking about chain/braclet like Bonnie, (it's Dan's 30th this yr so i've bought him a designer watch like he did for me on my 30th, as i would have got him this for his wedding gift) He's already got loads of cufflinks etc... But this is a lovely idea. I wonder if we can get them done in the UK. I'm not to body confident but i would love to have something like this for Dan! What a great idea. What is your favourite look? They are all so pretty/girlie! Your FI will love it!!!!
  8. Very pretty dress.. Rachel - definately try the hoop your be surprised how much lighter it makes the dress feel... We're marrying under a gazebo (not on the beach) so i'm sure Ambrosia will be fine..I'm so excited!!!
  9. OMG i've missed so much.... I'm laughing at this though.... we've gone from talking about hair flowers, to hotel rates, diet, dogs, bridesmaid dresses and baby food! lol...how random. So funny!!!! It's lovely we can all talk about anything and everything!! ) That is now 3 of us with the same date (28th May 2011) ;o) Girls waiting on prices etc i totally get where your coming from. Us Uk girls getting married in May can't book anything yet either. It's so frustrating.... US and UK are so different though. Our prices are out up until the end of April 2011 so we are just waiting on the summer prices to come out. I would be so upset if i had less than a yr to go and still couldn't book. I hope you all get your rates soon x

I figured if i got some small Aqua (light blue) diamonds, Like the kind you can get for sticking on your nails etc, I could dot a few about on the flower petals and it could possibly be my hair flower? What do you think? Here is the clip part : Here is the flower : I just need to have some sort of hair trail to see what it looks like in the hair now... x OMG Nicy that is lovely! I love it.... where did you get the flower from? I want to experiment with a flower for my hair! It really is lovely i bet it will look great! Oh and by the way your website is great. Those photos are lovely of you and FI. You look so happy it really add's that personal touch to your site. It's perfect!!! Well done hun!
  11. Nicyx, awww it's sad you live so far from your family. I dont know if i could be so brave and move away from mine.... We live within 5mins of both sets of parents and all my friends are local. My sister lives the furthest which is only 40mins away...... I wish you luck with your hen i'm sure you will find the perfect place for everyone. And we are here for you to chat to ) x I also have a few different groups of friends, completely different to each other. I'm just hoping we all mix well on the hen, i'm sure they will they are all lovely in their own right! When i went dress shopping the samples were 8/10 so they were ok for me, but my sister is a bigger girl and she commented that it would be horrible for her to try dresses on that small. So i do think they should have a few different sizes in stores. Because we are not all the same are we girls...... mexbride83 good luck with the dress shopping let us know how you get on! I am OK with my diet but i love to hear advise about it! I am opposite to Bonnie i LOVE my carbs. Bread, pasta, pots.....yum yum. But i believe eat what you like but in moderation. Maybe i'm wrong but it works for me. If i told myself i couldn't have something i would just want it all the more. I dont pig out and i always watch my weight. I'm not tiny but not big either. I would love to lose a few inchs but it's not the end of the world for me. My FI loves me and my love handles, hee hee.... I will step up with the exercise though as it makes me feel better for it x Linhy - 9 months!!!! Yipppeee!!!

But I see you'll be wearing it in May so that makes me feel better - lol! I would love to see pics of you in it! Yes it's the new 2010 range. I fell in love with it in a magazine and as soon as i tried it on i knew it was "the one"! It is beautiful and fits in all the right places! So comfortable! Yes it is a big dress but i wanted to feel like a princess and Ambrosia made me feel like that. I will have a hoop under it so i have room around my legs for a little breeze, hee hee!! I think you have to go with what is "you" though. A straighter dress just doesn't suit me. A friend of mine got married in Mexico last yr and had a more fitted dress and she said it stuck to her legs in the heat and was so uncomfortable. So everybody is different i suppose! Destination or not it had to be Ambrosia for me, lol. Good luck in finding your's! Oh i haven't got a photo of me in it but when i go for my first fitting i'll make sure i take some! )
  13. Hi Carly We are booking Barcelo Maya Palace. It is a gorgeous hotel with stunning grounds. They have a beautiful gazebo (we will marry there) and they also have a chapel. Family friendly too ( i have to kids myself).... Worth taking a look. Good luck Hotel in Riviera Maya - Puerto Juarez Hotel - Barcelo Maya Palace Deluxe Hotel - Barcelo.com

May 4th..yeehaw Me too )... I think i'll go with baby pink instead of hot pink. What do you think? 6 weeks! How exciting! I have a friend who's due today. 3 due in June, 1 in April and 1 in May!!! A busy baby year for us, lol May 4th!!!!!!!!!! Yah!!!! So happy for you!
  15. Tiffuhhknee, congrats on your house, how exciting!! We too are waiting on flight prices (..... it feels like forever waiting now! Josietoms - Fingers x'd we have the nice weather on it's way, it's lovely out today! Although a little windy in Welling. Walking Scarlett back from playgroup i nearly had my head blown off hee hee!! 10lbs i'm sure your lose that in the run up to the wedding ) Nicyx - I feel like all i say is "i'm waiting".... ppl keep asking me if we've booked yet and i'm like "no not yet" it's soooooooooooo frustrating! When we've booked i'm posting in cap's on my facebook page WE ARE BOOKED, YAH!!!! lol....... I to want to go ring shopping! I need to sort out a day for mum to have the kiddies so FI can go shopping. (you can't concentrate with kids around, especially at Bluewater shopping centre)! lol
  16. Rachel your dress is lovely. I have a Maggie dress too ) love her designs. Mine is called Ambrosia! I love it!
  17. Wow Linhy & Bonnie you have been busy!! I love your STD's they are so sweet and perfect for a destination wedding! Linhy your welcome letter is great. It's lovely how your tying all your theme together! So creative and clever! I'm thinking of doing my AHR invites in chocolate & pink! I think brown and pink look lovely together. I will probably do a pocket fold invite so i can put RSVP's etc in the little pocket and keep it all together! I'm not doing them just yet though as i want Mexico booked first! I was going to say the same thing as you Bonnie about shipping the bits out there as Linhy seems to have so much to take, lol... It'll have to be minimum for us as it will cost £££'s coming from the UK!

Bonnie, Michelle, & Linhy - Thanks so much for the compliments! I feel very comfortable in it, which is the most important thing. As I mentioned before, I bought it before we changed our minds and decided on a DW, and I was nervous that is was too formal for a DW -- but eh, whatever, I love it!! Bonnie it is a lovely dress... Tara, i agree - go with what you feel if it's "the one" then it's meant to be. My dress is really big but i love it so i got it! A straighter dress just doesnt suit me. I wanted to feel like a princess in my dress and the one i have definately makes me feel like that ) Ooo i hope my MOH (sister) does a bridal shower for me! I'd love it. She arranged a baby shower when i had Scarlett so maybe she'll do one for the wedding.... (a few hints might not go a miss, hee hee)
  19. Mischaka - well done on the weight loss! Less than 11 months..aarrggh scary and exciting!! I need to loose around 14lbs. I know nearer the time it will probably fall off with the stress/excitement etc... but i am watching what i'm eating anyway but then i think we all do that dont we?.... Bonnie - is that your dress? Or one you like? It's very pretty! You look tiny so you dont have to worry about loosing weight. Lucky thing!! lol Tara thanks for the info i will defo try the biotin pills! I am growing my hair so will try anything.

I have a big train on my dress to but i'm going to have it shortened a bit! I'm not going with a veil maybe just a flower in my hair but undecided! BTW a friend of mine got married in Sept at Iberostar Maya and speaks very highly so you have made a good choice! Nicyx - Can you imagine us when we've booked, lol. Couple of nutters! Oh and hello to all the new brides!
