I agree, you HAVE TO HAVE TO HAVE TO do want YOU want on your day... you will not be able to please everyone. Tell them its Coral!! If that's what you want. My sister wasnt to happy about wearing pink but tough! I am a pink freak and i wouldn't change that for her.... I think all of us on here have had some sort of upset with our plans and you have to just think of your day and what you want and stick to it. Sod everyone else. This is one of those times when you get to call the shots and be selfish and have exactly what you want...as for the preggers BM you could buy her a floaty loose dress and then it will fall over her growing bump ;o) x Sam i feel for you. I feel i have started a family rift too but all we've done is plan our wedding the way we want it. You will always upset someone. Your future SIL is being selfish and childish. Dont let it get to you. There is always someone that wants to cause a drama and it hurts when its a family member but you have nothing to feel bad about. My dad isn't coming to my wedding because he wont do the long flight! I was upset but over it now. I wouldn't change my plans to suit him and you shouldn't to please SIL. Its nice your MIL is sticking up for you over it. Just shows SIL is in the wrong. I think i would otherwise i'd be stressing all day. I can't wait to see all your pix ) we cant get in our room till 4pm but we dont need to really as not gonna decorate it, have to use their caterers so it'll only be to set up the cake really.... x We are sitting here trying to teach Scarlett how to use Harrisons DSi (he never uses it) as the other little girls coming to Mexico with us have them and they are taking them on the plane so thought it another way to entertain her for a bit. Plus dvd player, colouring etc etc... I think i'm gonna attempt to take her to the cinema this week to see Tangled. She's never been before and not sure its she's still a bit young but gonna brave it and see how it goes. She might get a bit restless but i'm sure it will be an adventure for her... Good god i've just had a mcdonalds and have my dress fitting tomorrow. What is wrong with me. Better go for a run and burn it off ............(NOT) lol x

Sounds like you've had a lovely day! So glad you still love your dress!! My fitting is monday and my BM has just text me, her cousin has just bought the same dress!!! Bit of a copy cat but i'll take it as a compliment! ) Its a lovely feeling paying it all off x

lol, its funny isn't it. A girl (not really a friend but someone within our group of friends) said to me "why Mexico then" so i said what i normally do... and she was like 'oh right' looking at me odd. She got married in Oct 2010 at Turkey Mill in Maidstone... so i said to her " why did you get married at Turkey Mill? Been there before? special meaning to you? her answer.... NO!!! and she just looked at me stumped!! Exactly i thought!! ;o) Why look at me funny? Does it matter where in the world we get married? HELL NO, each to their own! Prob just jealous, stuck up cow!! ha ha

Yes i feel the same, i've been on this site for about 18mths now and it only feels like yesterday i joined. It is crazy that so many ppl i've spoken to for over a yr are now married and my time is coming up so fast. Very exciting though. I will be sad when its all over (

Wow Nicy that is even sooner then! When you are partying at your AHR i will be packing to go to Mexico ) seems only like yesterday we were waiting to book, the time is flying... i will feel so sad when its all over. Been on such a journey on here ) I know what you mean with the DIY stuff. I am well and truely DIY'd out. lol. NO more for me now. I'm done. Pretty much everything is sorted for the wedding now so just gonna concentrate on the build up to the holiday (which we paid off yesterday and paid off the wedding package). The only thing i will need now is Thank you cards and i think i am just going to buy some and write them out. Welcome Ashley nice to have you join us. So many nice girls on here i'm sure you will find the site so useful and not only that its a great place to come and chat and let off steam. Fingers x'd you dont have any problems with your planning but most of us have and we help each other through it. I think i top the list for top whinger hee hee ;o) Definately two of the hardest things were chosing a hotel and the photographer. Research will get you there and you may even find one through this site ) I am SO tired today. Scarlett is going through a NOT sleeping stage and its doing me in. A bit ratty today. Going out tonight with the girls and have a feeling i'm going to get wasted ha ha. Let my hair down time ) Have any of you girls had ppl ask you 'why your getting married in Mexico'? (or other countries)... So many ppl have asked us and its now getting on my nerves. Its the same with them all.... "why are you getting married in Mexico, have you been there before?" my answer is "no but we know ppl that have and only heard wonderful things about it".. then they look at you like your a freak.... honestly though girls most of my friends that have got married over here have never been to the place they got married before, never stepped in the venue they said their vows and had no meaning to them.. so whats the difference in us going abroad to get married? Its our choice... if we got married over here it would have been Cooling Castle but only cos we've been there once before and liked it. It has no other meaning to us! End of saturday morning rant! Mine is at 10am. I can't wait. Its been over a yr. I miss the girl hee hee... i hope i still love her too ;o) One of my BM's and my mum are coming with. My bikinis look gross on. I am starting on the sunbeds early as i have my hen in April and will wear a bikini then in the spa. I think my flabby bits wont look so bad when they have a tan ha ha ;o) It will be you soon hun! So excited to be trying it on again ;o)

Hi Kiwimel, nice to have you back. I really wouldn't stress about your dress. It is so beautiful. I love it. My dress is not beachy at all. Nothing like i thought i would go for but i love it and no matter where in the world i was getting married it is most definately 'the one'... your's is perfect and if you love it then its right for you ) I need to get my travel box too. I must order that... I wasn't planning on doing the whiteboard but i do think they are a great idea and i'm sure your guests will love it )

I had a sunbed today and the site in the mirror was vile!! I have orange peel thighs and i wanted to throw up!!! I'm planning on wearing my dress all night. I'm not changing. One of my friends got Married in Mexico in Sept 09 and she got a second dress in Oriental Pearl. Ivory knee length quite plain but lovely. If your looking for ideas under £200 maybe visit there...?

Oh that's good at least you know they take lovely pix! What a result for you ) we have a friend taking pix at our AHR for us so saving some money there for us ) My dad started making our wedding cake!!! AARRGGHH makes it that little bit more real.... (my dad makes the cakes and my sister decorates) also saving us some pennies ;o) Roo - OMG i didn't even think of vista for the tshirts. Great idea!! I'm glad they were a hit. I'm hoping mine are too. I know if it were me and i was going on holiday for a friends wedding i would love it. Bringing everyone together... lol lol lol....well i did get MIL from HELL a size 16 but they do come up on the small side so chances are it might be tight and being white not to flattering...OOOPPPsss what a shame!! hee hee....what can she say though??? NISH!!! If she dont wear it, it will only make her look out of order! My friend coming has apparently made us all black hen night vests for the hen in mexico and i know they are small and MIL is not one to show her arms or wear a vest... can't wait to see her face!!! OOOOOO meow! Oh i dont care. The old witch deserves it!

They were dirt cheap honest. I got the vests (for me, BM's, etc) and tshirts (for the mums) out of Primark. Vests were £2 each and T's were £2.50 each. The transfers were from ebay.. this is the seller i got mine from. She will do whatever you want and to go on dark or light background. I just trimmed mine a bit more so you couldn't see the background colour so much although it was white ;o) I had to do 11 in all so thought it was good. I finished the tops today and packaged them up in pink packing and put a note on them that reads 'please wear me for your journey to Mexico' lol Just hope everyone likes them and i got the sizes right ) I am SO excited about my dress fitting!!!! Its been a whole year and i really wanna see my dress again ) gom4good you have done lots.. have you seen any of your friends photos before? Maybe ask to see some. It would be lovely to save so money but you wont get the day back and photos maybe your only memory ) Good luck with your BM dress shopping. We also have 23 going. On the 24th May. I've been doing a bit more DIY today. I've made all the girls tops to travel in. Vests for the younger ones and Tshirts for the MOB and MIL from hell... just didn't have sizes for my BM's and SIL so will have to get them another day... Gatwick here we come, lol.......
