Thank you very much! TA is out of the office tomorrow, but I'm calling first thing in the AM and talk to whoever answers and see what they suggest. Im going away with my FI's family this weekend for a funeral and I'm afraid one of them is going to ask, I want to have a solution to tell them without telling them the prices! I feel better after reading all of your responses, and talking to my mom of course. It will work out, I have a feeling will be moving the wedding up! All that means is less time to wait! <3

They paid flights full, but haven't paid anything to hold rooms yet. I'm thinking of changing to last week of November into first week of december..looks like about 250 a night! HUGE difference what the heck! I will pay the fee for anyone that has already booked that has to change the date...but the TA hopefully can get this taken care of. But of course I just emailed my TA and she is out due to illness so who knows when she'll be back!

Ok I am having major anxiety here, and need someones help! 2011 prices were just listed and they are ALOT higher than my travel agent estimated. We were hoping for Real around 300 a night for our guests that don't have a huge budget just for our wedding. They are listed at $574/night! I can't ask my guests to pay that. We have 11 people including ourselves with flights booked. My first thought was if I can't find anywhere in the price range I'll need to take a loan and pay all of these people back. Now I'm looking at the first week in Dec which is still in the price range, I don't think it's major to us to move the wedding up a month... My question is now all of these people with flights booked, would it be possible to just move the dates ahead...or would they be out the money and have to pay again? I thought DW was supposed to be easier than a regular wedding!!!!!

We booked our flights about a month ago...really good pricing. TA didn't think prices would go any lower than they were. I also dragged in all of my BM's and made them book the flight, I don't want to see people pay crazy amounts if they don't have to.

I am a January 2011 bride also! I have been getting so anxious waiting for room rates. My TA has us and some guests booked but don't know how much it will be. We have already booked flights. We are getting married at Real Gran Porto. The resort told me yesterday the prices will be out within the next few days...I have been checking their site 2x a day! lol But I think a lot of my guests are waiting to book until they have a price, which makes sense.

We are starting the ceremony at 4 and then doing a cocktail hour. We are only doing a semi private 1 1/2 ceremony. So our ceremony will be over at 730! I plan to get a white cocktail dress to change in to and we'll all plan somewhere to go after the wedding is oveer.

Anyone that is planning a 2011 wedding, I heard back from the Resort today that Cancun room rates are out, and Gran porto should be out within the next few days.

I'm not familar if it is normal or not to not hear from the WC's. I'm also going through a travel agent, but she doesn't get involved with the wedding end if it. (Which now I understand why!) So I refer all my guests to her to get rooms and flights booked, and I'm handling all the wedding stuff myself, which I like better so I know what is actually being done.

We haven't decided on a first song dance yet. I have picked a few but FI's taste in music is so much different! Everyone I have him listen to he says "Yea I guess"...I'm looking for a better reaction like "YES THAT'S IT!" LOL not sure I'll ever get that reaction though! My father and I will dance to I loved her first...can't think of the band off the top of my head right now. But I've had that one picked out for years now!

We went today and picked out bridesmaids dresses. I did tell my bridesmaids the one rule is no satin...but they were all in awe with the one dress that of course was satin. They were afraid to tell me, but I told them they have to buy it and wear it so if they all agree then we can do it. We have to have a deposit and the dresses ordered by June. So now I'm on a mission to find shoes to go with it! I'm still completely undecided on what the guys will wear. My gown in white with a pool blue corset backing. The girls dress is all pool blue and also has the corset back.

I hadn't even thought of a wedding gift for my FI...but the other day he mentioned he knew exactly what he was going to get me as a wedding gift. Which he is someone who doesn't know what to get for birthdays, or xmas unless I tell him exactly...but he said this is different because it's a wedding gift! I better get thinking what to get him...maybe a nice watch...and something else.

Im also a major planner. I mean I have my notebook of everything I need to do and when to do it...I guess with a typical wedding you're meeting with photographers, florists, cake people, limo people...and we don't have to do all of that...maybe thats why I feel like people are always so busy and I'm not... But when people ask me now I just say "It's fine...I don't really have much to do right now" Usually they just say Ohhh it kind of shuts them up...they don't have anything else to ask after that! lol

I keep feeling that I should be doing stuff....and I'm not. I feel like I'm missing something! Everyone keeps asking how my plans are coming...and well I don't know what to say! I sent my deposit to the resort...got my gown...sent invites...this weekend we are doing bridesmaids dresses...what else am I missing that I should be doing right now

Well the TA called the resort to confirm they still don't have Jan 2011 prices out and it's not a glich! But even when I asked the WC from there that I'm working with she said hopefully last night....idk whats going on!

I thought by now room rates would be out too, it's weird to me. We are also using a local travel agent, but even on the resort website it doesn't show rates yet. I asked my WC through the resort she said they would be out last night and they aren't still. My flight from Albany-Cancun was $445 roundtrip, with one stop each way...but no real lay over, go from one plane to another.

I love this dress. I don't think any of my BM are a size 10 though...but my gown has that pool blue in it, and I think my BM would look nice with the pool blue and white trim, which is opposite of mine. We will have to go try this one on!

Yes it is! Hopefully she is correct though! My wedding is 9 months away, I would like to get booking! Especially the way it sells out.

I e-mailed Carole today, and recieved a response within hours! She says for now she will be my coordinator, but she is training someone in replace of Suzanna who will be working with me with Carole's supervison later on. She asked me to pick my package already to get it on file. She also said the rooms rates for Real will be available later today!

PVBRIDE where did you get the wine glasses? They are very cute...and my MOH is a huge wine-o! lol
