I sent out message in a bottle invitations to DW, just to immediate family members and friends. I was kind of just spreading by word of mouth about the AHR. Well we recently went to FI's sisters wedding and saw alot of his family and friends we haven't seen in awhile. A couple of them came up to us and said we will be with you in spirit on your wedding day, and we mentioned the AHR and they had no idea and were so excited. So FI the next day decided he wants to send STD for the AHR. So I'm sending them out next week, since we are still 6 months until the AHR in February I didnt think it would be to awkward and wanted to get them out before my shower invites went! The wording for my STD is Nicole Plante & Scott Yakuboski will be married on December 2, 2010 Riviera Maya, Mexico beachside Please kindly save the date February 12, 2011 to celebrate our marriage with us. I will wear my dress again at AHR. We will be annouced in and do our first dances at the AHR, so I want to be in my gown for pictures and all...

I have been working with Ana ever since the move. She has been GREAT! She emails me and says Nicole I haven't heard from you in a week do you have any questions for me? Then of course I come up with a list! She replys to emails usually within the same day. I have no complaints!

Hmm maybe I got the pricing from WC info she sent me. She didn't mention anything about a $10 deposit! I'm planning on just giving her everyones names and what they want (hair/make up) If she mentions the deposit then I'll figure that out, hopefully she doesn't though. I wonder how many people they have working at a time. I have myself, 4 bridesmaids, FMIL and mother that need hair and make up. Wedding is at 2 so I'm not sure what time to set up appts for...I guess earlier the better...

I want to be like listen I'm a really good bride, I haven't contacted you once in 6 months since I sent my deposit. But now that we are 6 months out I want to get the OK before sending the save the dates!! Just return my call I promise it will be a 2 minute convo! I'm going to have to call her again tomorrow. Yes my WC got back to me and confirmed gran porto guests can go over without a pass, thank god! Thank you ladies for all the relief!! There is pricing on the Royal wedding website for SPAzul. We are 4 months out today, and WC told me a week or so ago she can book our appts now. Now on to the next project, trying to get the lady for the AHR to contact me back to confirm we are all set with the date we booked 6 months ago. I just wanted to be in contact and confirm everything before sending my save the dates, I left her a message a week ago now and no call back! I've learned with this wedding, if I decide on something expect the oposite!

For anyone already married or anyone who has looked into this...I'm in the process of working with Ana, my WC on booking appts for day of hair and make up. She said there is a spa at Gran Porto Real but the beauty salon is at Royal. Myself, mother in law and one bridesmaid is staying at Royal so that should be fine. My concern is my mom and the rest of the bridesmaids will be staying at Gran Porto, will they be able to go over to the Royal just to have hair/make up done without a day pass? I was hoping to have hair done at Gran porto since that is where the wedding is....but that can't happen

I am doing the classic package and was told my guests will not have an option i can only have one selection of salad, dessert and main course. I was also sent the menu that had all different options. I was told by my WC today that I don't have to select my options only from the page that says classic package, I can choose from any menu. Which I'm very happy about because I wasn't too sure on anything under the classic page. I'm getting married in Dec but I never asked about upgrading to hot hors d'oeuvres...I am doing a cocktail hour but was just going to serve whatever they normaly serve, no upgrading...

We are doing our AHR 2 months after the wedding. We are doing it at an American Legion around here about 200 guests. We will have the DJ annouce the wedding party and us a half hour after the start time and we will do our first dance then. My concern right now is how to word the invite...something about already getting married...I will send the invites a day or so after we get back from Mexico...

If I'm correct the tourist visa is something you get when you get into Mexico, you need to hang on to it with your passport.

These totes are great. I got them a couple weeks ago for my bridesmaids. I wanted to give my BM's a different type of tote other than the ones from the dollar store I got for everyone else's OOT bags.

Is this a stupid question.....now I'm thinking because of the above post...if we add international to our cell phones, we should be able to use them in Mexico right? We'll have service and all? The lobby bar is a great idea. Some of my guests are stay at Real so I would like to do a Welcome Night, the night before at Real. Can anyone give me any insight of the lobby bar at Real? Is it nice? We plan to only have about 30 guests...

Does anyone have a copy of the sched for a symbolic ceremony? Like the order an everyhing? I remember seeing someone post it, put I just went back many pages and can't find it. FI's uncle will be performing our ceremony and I wanted to send him that as an idea...

I just got my invitation for the site everyone is talking about. Looks good, like that may have their stuff in order now! Mine doesn't have anything on there, other than a welcome message from Ana. When she sent the link to me she said it is their new system to keep in touch, I'm thinking rather than e-mails. I was just happy enough to see our names and wedding date correct on the top! LOL The MI ladies had my date wrong every time I talked to them!
