I think to stay true to his familiy traditions, we may exchange the engagement rings at our legal ceremony and then exchange the wedding bands at our DW. That's cute....i never thought to buy my honey an engagement ring!!

Hopefully my weight loss roll will keep going by the time I go dress shopping!!!! I'm jealous!! Congrats...I sure do need to do the same! -

We weren't really expecting to find a house right away, it just happened to fall on our laps, so we couldn't resist. So in the next 3 and 1/2 months, we have to pack, move, finish planning the wedding, there's hunting for the men (in oct & nov), thanksgiving, christmas, new years and then the wedding (we leave on Jan 2)! I think I'll go insane but it'll be so much fun!!!!! We take possession on October 1st and have the whole month to move in as we don't have to leave our apartment until October 31st. This is such an exciting time for the both of us. There are some things that we want to do in the home before actually moving in. We want to remove some carpets as there is hardwood floors underneath. Painting will also be done as it's a lot easier to do with nothing in the rooms. As a lot of you know, my aunt is making my wedding dress and I started a thread to show the progress of that. Well, I thought that I would do the same thing here. Show our progress in the house, before and after pics. Kinda like a home renovating/decorating thread! I thought it would be fun to share ideas. I don't have any pics with me as I'm at work, but I promise to post some very soon. We plan on starting reno's next weekend. (YIKES!!!) lol I just wanted to share my good news...I'm so happy right now! Life is good!

Llily, I've been on for 2 days and I'm already printing stuff to put in my binder! I'm so happy I found you guys!

Renewal of Vows (ROV) and Symbolic ceremony, for pricing purposes, are the same. It sounds like you would rather a symbolic ceremony considering you are calling it your "real wedding." If you ask specifically for an ROV, the wording in the ceremonial script may change a bit (i.e. "would you 'continue' to take 'said bride' to be your lawfully wedded wife..."). Thanks a bunch...I never thought of doing it twice. We've already purchased them -- so we can definitely do that. Symbolic ceremony...is that wording different??

Hi, We're in the DC area...both of our families are from JA, so we're not looking for a resort -- instead we'd like a local ceremony & reception for approx 200 ppl. My father has a nice home in Iron Shore -- not far from Mobay and he's said that we can use it, but I will need plenty of help ...eyes & ears for me, since we won't be able to get there for a few months. If any of you ladies have any good recommendations -- we sure would appreciate it! -Melissa
