  1. I've been searching around and can't find anywhere that this is answered...Do any of you know how the bar works at the Dreams? In the package it said that the bar is included for the cocktail hour, but then what? They don't take it down right? Since it's an all inclusive resort, do they leave it during the reception? I saw Ana's pictures and it looked like the cocktail hour will be set up close to the reception at the oceana terrace and there was a bar there where they easily transitioned over from the cocktail area to the sit down table area. When I asked Yesica if it was open bar until 10:30 since its an all inclusive hotel she said "only during the cocktail hour"... so now i'm confused. Can anyone clear this up for me?
  2. I'm getting extra photgraphy because the package only includes the ceremony...and bringing most of my own decorations i'm thinking, but really that's it! We thought about adding extra music also with a DJ but now we are just leaning towards the trio during the ceremony and cocktail hour (which is included in the package) and for the reception just renting the ipod hookup and speakers and having my cousin DJ the playlist. Have you set a date yet?
  3. Congrats! This review is so helpful! Nice to hear everything went perfect! I have Yesica as my planner also and at times she makes me so nervous. I am using Dino Gomez as my photographer. Just getting things finalized with him. I am getting married in April and still haven't decided on hair and makeup but I keep hearing great things about Suzanne Morel. Can any of you tell me how much she costs? Also did you just take a picture of what you wanted and show it to her on your wedding day or did you meet with her in advance??
  4. Megan&Alan, where are you getting married? I am also April 24, 2010!! Congrats! I feel like all of the sudden it is coming soo fast and I still have tons of planning to do!
  5. When you say you are looking for the right price do you mean on the ceremony and reception total or are you including travel? I am getting married at the dreams and doing the dreams ultimate package and it is $2650 plus extras for music and photography and decorations etc...it will end up costing closer to $5000 or $6000 and then you still have travel and dress etc. Good luck let me know if I can help! I am getting married at Dreams in April 2010!
  6. Wow how fun! You gave me soo many good ideas! I love the photo booth and the sunset cruise sounds like a blast! Congrats on everything!
  7. Ohh ok it makes much more sense as a set up fee. I get it now. $29 per person isn't bad at all for a rehearsal dinner then!
  8. How exciting It's so nice to be able to talk to other people who have been married at the same place! This website has given me such a better understanding of how my big day will all come together! I cant wait!
  9. Hello Dreams Brides! I am wondering if any of you guys chose to do any of the theme packages (casino night, tequila tasting, mexican night, etc) and if so what did you think of them? I thought the cost was a little high for only one or two hours but some of these might be good ideas to incorporate for the rehearsal dinner...what did you guys do? Any thoughts or ideas?
  10. I think it's kinda weird that you have to pay for a private dinner when the resort is all inclusive. I think the buffet is a great idea!
  11. This review is very helpful! We have a lot of family coming from Kansas City also. I'm glad to hear that the food was good because that was one of my main concerns. Also, Dreams has a night club? Thats nice to know!
