I love the books....way easier to fit all of the information there than in a brochure. Those ended up coming out great!!

We are doing a champagne toast right after the ceremony, then a cocktail hour while we take pictures, and then we are doing cake cutting right when we get to the reception. I think it sounds fine to do it right after the ceremony. Especially if you aren't doing a cocktail hour before dinner.

wow how unfortunate! I think I will take a carry on...I'd rather them take stuff out while I am standing there and can see what they remove than have them burn all of my stuff!

You can handle planning it but you may want someone to help you coordinate the actual day itself. Will cut down on soo much of your stress!

I am getting married at the Dreams also and my WC didn't even mention about choosing our officiant. When I asked her about what I needed (legal ceremony) she just said "I'll take care of the judge and minister for you, don't worry about that." She sent me a very basic ceremony script but I added a ton to it based on help from other threads on the forum. I still would love to know how yours went if you'd be willing to share!!

Ok so I'm way further into my planning and have a much better idea of what I'm doing now. I'm doing the ultimate package with my ceremony at the gazebo and then my reception will be at the ocean terrace pool. I LOVE the gazebo setting and I think it will look so pretty in my pictures! The only things I am spending over the package is: - renting the ipod speakers ($275) - adding photography and TTD session (around $1800 but depends on photog) - buying flowers for my wedding party and adding some decorations to the gazebo through Dreams florist (around $500) - I'm buying a sand vase for a sand ceremony and a cake topper, cutters and flutes for toasting (all of that around $400) - The only other expenses I have really (aside from travel) are invitations ($200), his ring, the rehearsal dinner ($29 pp), his suit and my dress... I am also doing OOT bags but that is just a little something extra and my choice to spend that. And don't forget about your thank you gifts for parents and wedding party! If you ask me, the package saves a TON of money!

I am having a legal ceremony and having the blood test done. It is costing $200 and there is someone who will come to our room the morning after check in to draw the blood. Really shouldn't be a big deal at all I don't think.

I am in the middle of doing mine right now and I need someone to stop me! I have gotten so much stuff I have no idea how to even put it all together and get it there! I'm sure my guests will LOVE them though!

I am bringing all of the simple things...votives for the tables, crystals for my flowers and the centerpieces, all of the out of town or welcome bags for the guests, any ribbon, sand vases, etc......

We're getting our groomsmen nice robes and having them monogramed. Maybe some sort of cigar or flask thing as well! We thought it was different and everyone can use a robe. (at least all three of these guys, haha!)

Here is my ring: It is a 3/4 carat on top and 1 1/4 carat in the band underneath. My wedding band is a carat in diamonds to match the engagement band.
