Hi and welcome to the forum! We're getting married at the Pier House June 26. We went down this past November to check out a few hotels and make our decision. They do have a small, private, topless private beach, but that is the area that is where the wedding ceremonies are held, so when there is a wedding, it is closed to sunbathers. They do have an additional adjoining private beach that is not topless, so there may be people on that during afternoon weddings. Pier House is in Key West, but when we were there in November, the Pier House, itself, was very quiet and relaxing (even though it is on Duval Street), but the craziness/touristiness of Duval starts about a block away for anyone who wants it.

Hi! Congratulations and welcome to the forum! I'm not far from you - in Delaware! I went to a wedding in Vegas a few years ago - my FI's brother. They did it at the MGM Grand chapel and had dinner at CraftSteak in the same hotel. The wedding was actually very nice and we had a few fun days wandering around Vegas. Have fun planning!

Stef - It's a really lovely drive though the keys to Key West. We're getting married at the Pier House resort. Southernmost does look beautiful - I've never stayed there but I've biked by it several times! Key West is one of my favorite places. PM me if you need any restaurant ideas ;-)

We're getting married in Key West June 26, 2010 at the Pier House resort. We wanted to stay in the Old Town area so that our guests could easily walk around. In November, we went on a scouting mission and visited the Pier House, Hyatt, Westin & Ocean Key (all are right around Mallory Square where the sunset celebrations are and in easy walking distance of everything). I'm sure the Marriott is lovely, but it is away from the Key West action and parking is very difficult in Old Town, although I saw on the Marriott site that they do offer a downtown shuttle.

Tape runner!! It's an applicator that easily dispenses double sided tape. I just used it on my STDs and plan on it for my invites. I found the Staples' brand worked best out of the ones I tried.

Purple and green are my favorite colors & make a great combination. I painted my dining room so the top half of the wall is lavender and the bottom is stripes in two different shades of lime green. Just think of purple tulips with their green stems & leaves!
